I noticed that a couple of small scratches appeared on the screen of laptop. After some time I figured out that they appeared because of small parts on the chassis (they line up with location of scratches). So I want to know whether this falls under warranty service (it is a design flaw after all)?

My wife wants to move some of the photos on her laptop but they are all 100% when she changes one to 50% and does what she needs to do she goes to the next one and that is also 100%.Can she set them all to be 50% and save having to change them one by one

Dim Display Backlight issue
Good Day Community,
I have a HP Probook 450 G4 laptop which has got a Dim screen and basically you cannot see anything on display. It does come on boot and you can very faintly see the logos as it boots.
Pointers you need to know are as follows and what I have tried already:
1. Connected external screen, can see display and laptop working correctly.
2. I have replaced both the monitor itself with HP replacement parts as well as the monitor cable.
3. I took the serial numbers off the original and replaced it with genuine HP Parts. (Just confirming point 2)
4. Have tried using FN and adjusting brightness.
5. HP Full reset was done as advised from their website.
6. Still after a new screen and cable same issue persists and display is barely view-able.
My thought was that if the display adapter on the MB was faulty surely a external screen would not work? Any advice on what I could try or if anyone has any advice. Obviously last unit to replace beyond what I replaced would be a motherboard but want to ask advice before considering that as it would not be cost effective to repair the unit.

bottom right screen is falling out
I have a Pavillion x360m convertible, the bottom right side of the screen pops out of the case when I open it and I'm sure it will only get worse. I don't see any cracks around the outside shell, Is there a fix for this?

A vertical column on my touchhscreen misses finger input but will take mouse input.
I just purchased a 17.3 HP ENVY - 17m-ae011dx touchscreen laptop.
The screen accepts mouse input via a drawing application however a vertical column of space, mid-screen, fails to receive finger input.
I ran the digitizer set up several times and downloaded updates for the touchscreen along with others updates recommended by the HP web site and restarted the PC a number of times. This1/2" wide vertical column of area on the screen still does not accept touch input.
Is this a software issue?

Screen goes black after 1 minute of not using
My HP Envy keeps dong the same thing. It will go to the sign in screen after only being untouched for a mere minutes. I have made the screen timeout settings all "never" and screen saver settings 4000+ minutes, and it still responds this way. What do I do? I'm extremely annoyed with how many times a day I have to sign in. This is a work computer and interrupts my flow.

BLACK SCREEN (PC RUNS)
HEY GUYS,
I have problems with my laptops screen it turns on but screen stays black,
Btw, i've founded a temporary solution but I need a permanent one.
Temporary solution that i've founded is: I have to turn on my laptop and heat it up by covering it with a blanket, for about 20-30min, then turn it off and turn it on again and it works perfectly!
So if someone has any idea what should I do without sending it to a computer shop, I would be thankful.

Mouse/Synaptics Touchpad not working
Hi. I've been having trouble with my touch pad as it has stopped responding or functioning altogether. I've checked the driver under Mice and pointing in Devices and it says that the current status for Synaptics ClickPad is currently not connected or working. The only way of moving the mouse is by means of external drive such as USB mouse or the actual touch screen of the laptop.
I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, restarting the laptop, and updating the drivers along with windows 10 updates. Can anyone help me out on solving this? Many thanks.

HP Spectre x360 13 Poor Screen Quality (Sure View)
I have bought the HP Spectre x360 13-ap0400nd from a local computer shop earlier this week. I am very happy with the performance however cannot say the same regarding the screen. The screen has a yellowish tint, weird faint diamond patterns (that are especially noticeable on a white background), and poor maximum brightness. By comparison, the display on my previous 4 year old Asus laptop with a TN panel is brighter and sharper than the one on the Spectre.
Upon reading the forums, apparently this is a common problem with the Sure View filter. I didn't know that Sure View results in such a poor quality when I ordered the item and unfortunately the computer shop will not accept it back since this is "by design". I have somewhat improved the yellowish tint by reducing the Red and Green channels from the Intel Graphics control panel as described in the online forums, however needless to say that I am very disappointed with the display on a supposedly premium device that costs 1700 EUR!
I do not need the sure view feature and would definitely prefer a sharper and brighter display. Is there anything I can do to disable this feature or else exchange with a proper screen that does not have the "sure view" feature?

Setting up multiple monitors on a HP ENVY 17
I also have the HP Envy M7 notebook. My product number is W2K86UA#ABA. How can I hook up 2 additional external monitors and use the laptop screen as a third? When I use the HDMI port for one and the USB Type C port for the second, it only recognizes the laptop screen and the monitor hooked to the HDMI port. Thank you in advance for your help!

Screen dims involuntarily...
My screen will involuntarily dim and then reset to normal. This most recent time happened while watching a video and the screen stayed dim (grey) while the video played in the background.
Usually I just move my mouse and the dimming stops. This time, I had to close the laptop and then open it and sign in, for the screen to appear normal.
This is a brand new pc. What is going on?

Cannot connect display "display connection might be limited"
Hi!
Suddenly I have some troubles with my HP Envy 13. When I plug in my HDMI to usb c adaptor, systems says "display connection might be limited", and the laptop doesn't see the external display. Yesterday everything was ok, and from this morning I cannot connect any display.... I've tried with two displays and two adaptors which were working properly before, and every time I see the same message "display connection might be limited". Can someone give me any advice? I have no idea what to do:(

HP Pavilion 15 Touchpad Disable

I just bought my HP Pavilion Gaming 15-BC412NT
The option to disable the touchpad in software or hardware form does not exist. I've tried everything and looked for solutions online. The only thing left is to uninstall the drivers for the touchpad but I don't want to do that I want to use it occasionally.
- "Select the Device Settings tab. Click Settings."
This tab does not exist only Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options, Wheel and Hardware
In the settings menu there are two different tabs one for mouse and one for the touchpad the option to disable it here does not exist.
And to add insult to injury, when I go to mouse properties/ hardware/ Synaptics SMBus TouchPad,
The option to Disable it is dimmed and unclickable.
I am extremely frustrated right now and considering returning my laptop for this reason alone.

I2C HID device not starting
Hi, I have noticed that my touch screen is not working since the past week or so. I Checked my device manager and it said I2C HID device not starting (code 10). I tried trouble shooting it but it did now work. My device is up to date and I tried cleaning my screen but it did now work. The component test for the touch screen has passed twice, but the touch screen still does not work. Can anyone help?

Touchpad / buttons and cursor not working
Hi my HP Laptop has just this week lost the functionality of the touchpad and buttons etc. I can use a wireless mouse fine. I like to use the touchpad when using my laptop in bed and don't know why it has suddenly stopped working. Any advice on how to re-enable it would be gratefully appreciated.
