EliteBook 725 G3 - DisplayPort over USB-C possible?

Hi

 

I can't find out if this laptop (EliteBook 725 G3) supports a display port output over its usb type c port, as for example, the latests mbp does.

 

I'd like to connect a 2nd 4k display to this computer, the first being connected to its regular DP output.

 

Anyone knows ?

driver issues

Dear sir/Madam,

 

   I have just installed new window 7 ultimate on my Laptop ( Hp Pavilion g series, Processor: AMD A4-3330MX APU with Radeon (tm) HD graphics), and after the installation the i am not able to see the videos because might be i lost the graphics driver. plz help me to come out of these problem..

We previously began to deploy these to our users and have found that every single one of them is having issues with random mouse clicks and opening/closing of software windows or documents they might have open.

 

So far, we have tried everything we can think of and the only thing that has worked is completely disabling the touchpad and having the user use a wireless mouse. Has anyone else had this problem or is having this problem? and has anyone found a fix?

 

any help would be appreciated!

Am currently using my intel gpu. How can I switch to my amd radeon gpu?

Am currently using my intel diplay gpu to play video games. I also have a radeon gpu but am not using it. How can i switch it to my amd?  If i go to dxdiag, it says that the intel gpu is for display and the radeon gpu for render. How can i switch it?

My laptop is heating up tooo much and i need to switch it quick.

Dual monitors randomly go black off and on, have to undock to stop it.

Dual moitors on a docking station go on and off randomly and I have to undock it to stop it. I have upgraded all the firmware and drivers including video.

I formatted my laptop and since then i can't find a graphics driver for my laptop i tried to install the windows 7 versions and it didn't work. I also tried to get it from the windows 10 automatic updates but it does not show up. How do I find the correct driver for my laptop?

Youcam error message and camera not working after Windows 10 update

Hi

My integrated camera isn't working since I upgraded to Windows 10. Camera app launches, but the screen is black.

I've tried installing newest version of Cyberlink Youcam and all I get after install is error message that the resolution isn't supported. However, I can't even open it to change the resolution. Does anyone have any ideas of either how I make the camera work or youcam work? Thanks in advance

Cursor is missing

My laptop is less than two months old and when I open and turned on my laptop, the cursor was there for a second but unresponsive. Then, when I tried to use the touch screen, it disappeared completely from the screen. It has not appeared again.

This has happened before and I followed support instructions to install dirvers, etc. What is going on and how can I fix this permanently? It's extrememly frustrating, especially when I'm trying to work and I now have spent an hour trying to fix this issue!

Warranty and promises not honored

Three weeks ago, due to a forceful use of my finger, i heard crackling and my touchscreen started showing only lines. I did all the things i could think of and when it didnt change anything, i called hp service and chatted with them online. I have saved the chat text (not that hp is honoring it) and when the chat person who works for hp stated if i paid shipping, hp would cover the repair under warranty. He/She did not make any qualifications to this statement that hp would examine product upon receipt then make a determination. I shipped the product and got email of receipt of product. Next i received an email a day or two later stating they were not going to pay for the repair. If i decided to pay, the total cost would be 490 plus dollars (when the laptop 6 months prev only cost 500 or so $) but as customer service , they would discount the cost to 187$ and change. Nowhere did the case service mgr say i would have to pay the whole cost then get a check back to lower it to the 187. Two of their own employees have made statements and hp chooses to ignore and not honor them. A supervisor I talked to was nice enough but stated he didnt have power to change anything and to email the escalation dept of americas. I emailed them and got an email back stating they would try to call me. After great difficulty, we managed to make contact. He ignored both their own employee statements and somewhat rudely stated basicall take it or leave it. Meaning either pay the nearly 500$ and expect this same company who doesnt honor the other employee statements to send me a check to discount the cost.He stated this decision was made by hp corporate not them and he had no control over it. I asked him if i could speak to a supervisor and he made the statement about hp corporate making the decisions and there was nobody above him.  I told him i needed to think it over and he said if you dont let me know by tomorrow, we will ship the laptop back to you in the same "shape" we received it. I was quite happy with the laptop so much that i purchased a similar one for my wife.  I am looking for help in contacting somebody higher than a case manager who has no power to change anything or an abrupt brisk person from escalation. If anybody has experience with similar situation or email or phone numbers for anybody who actually helped, please let me know.

Black screen won't start up

Hi,

 

I am getting the black screen on start up, have tried holding down the power button, then turn it off and on, have tried pressing the esc button, then tried the control+alt+delete button, nothing is working?

 

The on button is 'white' and not blinking.....?

 

Any ideas?

I am trying to connect my HDMI port to a compatible TV, but am unable to get this to work.

 

I looked in Settings>Device Manager > Display Adapters and it only listed the Intel HD Graphics 620

 

I then looked at  Settings>Monitors> and it only showed Generic PnP Monitors

 

I know that the TV has a compatible PC input (worked like a charm on my previous ASUS laptop).

 

Looking for any suggestions to get this up and running.

I'm really interested in getting and active pen (stylus) but first I would like to make sure that my computer (Pavilion 15-aw030wm) is able and will respond if I get one. I was looking to see if the touch screen is capacitive or not but I did not find information about it. Thank you very much, I will wait for your answer!

HP Elite X2 pen issues

My wacom pen randomly dissconesting in the middle of the work. Every day same issues. Im updated, reinstalled every drivers, changed batteries (extreme draining thing - that pen Smiley Very Happy ) It´s working fine 10% of time.

I have HP ProBook 440 G4 installed Win7-64bit with an i5 7th generation. Now I want to install the intel video driver and control panel. But i can´t install it, because the system requierements are not met. System requirements needs win10-64bit for the 7th generation.. Does anyone knows a workaround or another driver?

Dialog Box Display Error on HP Probook 450 G3

I have an old software developped with Visual Studio 10 years ago that works well on Dell or other laptop.

Display resolution is 1920 * 1080.

The software contains dialogboxes associated with jpeg image on background with several buttons .

 

But the background jpeg image of the DialogBox is not correctly displayed (too small) so the button are not at the right place as the background image is too small.

I have tried several compatibility parameters without success !!

 

Have you some ideas to deal with ?

 

 It works well on a Dell laptop with the same resolution and the same OS !!

Screen Flicker issue and bad service

I SUGGEST NO ONE BUYS THIS PRODUCT

 

I had bought  HP Pavilion Notebook 14-al111TX ALL in the month of February which turned out to be defected.

My laptop's screen has an issue of flickering which refused to be resolved dispite various upgrades and what not by the HP service station. HP then replaced it with another laptop of the same model (Serial Number: 5CD63535Q1) which seems to have the same issue. We spoke to the DOA team yesterday who promised me that a new DOA letter for the REPLACED LAPTOP will be in my inbox by the end of the day yesterday. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT TILL NOW. YOUR TEAM CLEARLY DOES NOT LIVE UPTO IT’S WORD.

 

I have wasted enough time going back and forth with their team and have lost a lot of work, close to INR 1.5 lakhs. I did not sign up for this when I was buying an HP laptop. I was not aware of the fact that HP products were so terrible and the service incompetent. This should shameful for a company of their repute. What has their Q&A team been doing that I received a malfunctioning product second time in a row? I have suffered enough mental trauma trying to argue my case with various points of contact, lost working hours trying to get in touch with your team and coordinating everything, and lost enough business. This laptop has cost me way more than what I paid for. I have demanded my HP pavilion unit to be replaced by an upgraded model seeing how much trouble and money you have cost me. THE ENTIRE PROCESS HAS BEEN EXCRUCIATING. I have to do all this running around for a PRODUCT LINE which has been malfunctioning at their end. I paid more than 60,000 for a working laptop AND I REFUSE TO PAY ANYMORE. I DO NOT SEE HOW THAT IS FAIR.

It’s been 2 months I’ve been waiting for HP to deliver a working product as it promises it’s ‘LOYAL’ customers.

Run Two Monitors from HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible

I had to purchase a replacement computer when I was out of town for training.  I bought the HP ENVY x360 for the processor speed and display size (due to type of training).  I am back in the office and can no longer use my docking station, so I am trying to circumvent that.   As it looks like this replacement Envy might be permanent (other laptop is not looking like it is repairable)  I was hoping to get a little bit of the same set-up.  It doesn't appear that an Envy is compatible with a docking station.

 

I have a desk set up with two monitors (DVI-D/VGA capable).  I purchased 3 HDMI cables, one splitter (Musou 2 Port HDMI Splitter, 1 in 2 out) and then two HDMI/DVI-D adapters so that I could plug into the monitors.  Basically, one HDMI out from Envy to a splitter, from splitter - 2 HDMIs out to the DVI-D adapters and then into the monitors.

 

Unfortunately, this setup isn't working.  I think that perhaps unable to handle the transfer of the display through all the bits and pieces (that's my technical term for lots of plugs and things).

 

Has anyone found success projecting to a two monitor set up without a docking station and using HDMI to DVI-D?  I could purchase two new monitors, but I'd still be using the splitter and I am not sure if that is the problem or if it is the DVI-D adapter.  

 

Or, maybe I missed a setting in the display options?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  I am old and wear bifocals, I need my two big screens!
