Custom screen resolution for radeon 6770m
Hello i have dv6 with switcable graphics. It has intel HD 4000 + radeon 6770m 1 gb VRAM, 8 GB system Ram, with i7 CPU.
I understand from internet sources that the max resolution that 6770m can support is 2560 x 1600.
i got a 4K display, when i connect and enable only the 4K display, the max resolution option available is 2048 x 1280. the 6770m is the active graphics.
I tried to do the registry edit trick but still 2560 x 1600 option does not become abvailable. I tried to add a custom resolution thru the intel graphics app but it gives an error that this resolution excceds the max bandwidth.
I have a feeling that the radeon itself can support 2560 x 1600, but may be because Intel HD 4000 cant, its now showing me the higher resolution. I tried to disable intel HD 4000 from device manager but then the grahics stopped all together.
Is there any way to enable 2560 x 1600 on this laptop?

HDMI port not working

My HDMI port is not registering that there is anything plugged into it. I've tried switching cables and using different device on the cable, everything checks out but the laptop still does not register that there is anything plugged into it.

Videos not loading on any browswers
I am having issues while trying to play videos. Videos will buffer but not play. My sound works fine, as I can play games and still listen to things. I can also listen to itunes with no problem. I have tried Everything I can to get the videos to work, yet nothing seems to help. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling flahsh, tired updating drivers, tried different browsers, but nothing works. Any suggustions would be great.

f800g camcorder not working
I bought a f800g camcorder in May’16, which stopped working for about 2 months now. In the past few weeks, I tried to contact customer support from HP and I was never successful. I tried email, phone call many times and I either get no response or refering to some useless numbers. It seems like HP has no support for such products. I can't even find a correct board to discuss such products. It is appreciated if you can forward the message to the responsible part in HP.

Re: x360 spectre 15-bl012dx windows 10. display flickers when I enable VT in BIOS.
I've got the same issue and HP was of no help. In fact, support got on my machine and 15 minutes later they gave up and said they don't support the VT configuration and left me stranded. I too believe it is Intel graphics issue. It's a very nice box but poor support from HP (expected).

Pixels flickering in fullscreen
I have an HP laptop with Windows 10 that I go like 2 days ago. For some reason When I'm playing a game in full screen (CS:GO, G-mod, Minecraft etc.) the bottom few pixels flicker with a black/grey color. It sort of seems like the task bar is attempting to be displayed but its only like 2-5 pixels. Can anyone help me? Also please note I don't know a whole lot about computers so an 'Instructions for dummies' would be nice. Thank you.

webcam not detected in windows 7
Dear ones, I am having problem in my webcam which is not being detected by windows 7. even imaging devices is missing from the device manager and i have installed some drivers but didn't work. DVD drive no longer working
I had an HP Envy running Windows 10 and my external LG BE14NE40 DVD Blu-Ray player worked fine. I've now bought a smaller HP Spectre also running Windows 10. When I plug the DVD player into the USB it recognises it, shows it in Device manager and Explorer. Sometimes it stays there for several minutes, sometimes several seconds before dropping out and becoming non-useable. As much as I like the ping of finding a new device then losing it, I'd rather have the DVD player work all the time.
Any help, other than sentances with the word Regedit in them would be greatly appreciated.

I install Windows 10, and now any programm who need OpenGL 2 an upper - stopped working.
In windows 7 and Ubuntu - it works.

HP Notebook - 15-g222au wanted driver to add extra monitor for multi tasking
I have a HP Notebook - 15-g222au and was trying to add an extra monitor for multi tasking, but when i connected with the help of a HDMI cable, it showed "Your PC cant project to another screen, Try reinstalling the driver or using a different video card.

HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 SKU: 1JL55EA Screen colour issue?
I purchased a new Spectre X360 with the Full HD screen on 15 April 2017. Its the version with the gold/copper accents which appears to have been released in the US in late 2016.
Whilst setting it up on the day of the purchase, I noted that any white/light grey colour on the screen (like on this website, google search page and Windows 10 settings) had a distinct yellow tinge - almost like night mode on a cellphone. I took the laptop back to the HP shop where the saleman and manager agreed that the colour was not right.
I put the X360 side by side with my 2015 MacBook Pro and my wife's 5 year old Sony Vaio - on the same web page - and the yellowness of the X360 screen was clear - regret I didn't photograph the comparison.
The HP store checked another brand new X360 and a demo X360, both of which had yellowish whites - though less yellow than the laptop I purchased. The store graciously allowed me to return the laptop and processed a refund.
I still want to buy a Spectre X360 but the store suggsted in an email to me now that all X360's will have this yellowish white dispaly.
I have read many reviews of the Spectre X360 full HD and 4K versions, and havent read any comments about this yellow tinge. There are many complaints of yellow tinge on the display of the 2015 version of the X360.
I'd like to know if this is a characteristic of the 2016/2017 X360? Have any other owners experienced this?

HDMI does not work
I can not see the sreen on the the TV through an HDMI Conection, I have just bought and adaptor to conect USB-C to HDMI and it does not work. I have read that I could be due to Windows 10.

Interested in Spectre x360 - have some questions
I am interested in getting the Spectre X360. I have a very important question - with an external high resolution monitor or 4k tv can the Spectre display higher resolution than the 1900x1080 resolution on the notebook?
Also, if I got the ac076nr model (i7, 16gb ram, 512 gb hd) would the laptop be capable of basic 4k video editing? I do not care to do anything fancy, just vacation clip trimming and splice together clips for one longer clip, maybe some basic exposure or color correction editing.
One more question that probably is not for this catagory but maybe a HP rep can answer - If I purchased Spectre 360 now could I add warranty or upgrade option around 60 days from now? I am selling my home so hesitant to add cost now but if I get even close to what I would like my budget could handle extra cost.

Display problem when phone rings
Hi there,
i have a problem with my HP x360 Spectre 2017 laptop. When my phone starts ringing, the screen gets all messy, bliking moving .. and it didnt stop after the call ends, i have to sleep and wake up the device to get rid of that. I have no idea what, and if i can do something about that, please help.

FPS Drop On Battery Backup FIxed Automatically!?
I am using HP Pavilion - 15-au114tx.
It's got GT940MX 4GB and an Intel 620HD Graphics Card.

When I bought the laptop a few weeks ago and played games on it (DOTA2, CS:GO) it ran fine on AC power adapter, good 60 fps, no drops, but when I played the game on battery backup the game lagged so bad and had majorfps drops. The game ran on 10-15 fps average and in between it fluctuated to 60fps just for a few seconds and then back to 10-15 fps.
Overall it was unplayable on battery!
I tried all the tweaks, believe me, updating NVIDIA drivers, Intel HD Drivers, changing battery plans settings to max/performace, chaging settings from NVIDIA Control Panel ,every inch!
Like, every settings that you are told usually when you post on forums and get the 'generic' replies to troubleshoot low fps on battery.
BUT today a weird thing thing happened. I was playing DOTA 2 on AC power with good fps (60) and my power went off. The game was now running on Battery Backup with 60fps! Smiley Frustrated
I was like what the heck!. There were no drops, no fluctuation in fps, nothing!
Can anyone please explain me what sorcery is this? Can this happen own its own or what.
I have read hundreds of threads with battery backup low fps problems here on HP forums and people say that the battery is not able to give maximum required output to the gpu/cpu when gaming on battery for battery safety and whatnot. People were having same problems like me on the same laptop model that I have here on HP forums and I was like, maybe it's a hardware/battery bottleneck due to the battery supply.
But seriously, what's going on..

Sketchy video playback
Vidios not loading properly and when they do i get extremely slow playback. The playback is playing frame by frame for all videos.Tried multiple browsers and programs with video playback like steam and it doesnt work either .
