I have a HP Folio 9470m Notebook pc (refurbished) .
I downloaded HP's touch pad Firmware update and after running it, it says there's a problem while reflashing the firmware & stoped flashing at 91% & restarted my laptop automatically (say: less than 1 minutes) And now, as you can guess, my touchpad is no longer working. When I try to run the Firmware update again I get the Synaptics Reflash Error. how can i flash 100%
After installing the drivers from HP website I still cant find the drivers for ACPI\SMB0001 *SMB0001 .The device manager shows "UNKNOWN DEVICE" and says no drivers were found for it. Can somebody help????
I'm new to the Convertable laptop scene and would like to know which stylus pen I can use with my new Envy x360 m6, model m6-aq105dx. I'm not sure which software I'll be using other than Adobe CC's Photoshop, and Ai. I'm assuming an Active Pen will provide more features, correct?
My primary focus is website design and graphic design with the Adobe suite. I did find some cool tablet sketching software in the online MS store. I have conventional i7/Nvidia workstation class systems but fell in love with this Envy Convertable at Best Buy while window shopping.
I'm seeing mostly confusion about the proper pen to use. I hope this lightweight system can fit in my workflow. Can you help proper stylus pen/model #'s?

I recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Afterwhich, everytime I plug the power cord, my screen goes black but when I remove it, the screen lights up again. Already checked power settings but I'm pretty sure its not the issue. Please help.
I am wondering if there is an upgrade to the video card in my CQ1-1225 all-in-one desktop. I know this is in the notebook forum, but from my understanding that is basically what this computer is. My video is always lagging and wondering if there is something I can do to fix it. I have 4MB of ram already. Thanks.
Recently, I discovered an old, HP Pavilion ze2000 laptop (Windows XP) in the laundry room of the house. It was my parents, and they said that whenever they tried to boot up the old thing, the screen was just black. I told them that I wanted to attempt to fix it. It turned out to be harder than I thought. When I turned it on, the screen was black, but I could hear the fan going, so it seemed to be working. I did some research and followed the official HP Website's advice. (Yes, I understand that it is for Windows 8 and up, but I couldn't find much for Windows XP
) I followed all of their steps, however, the laptop screen remained blank. One step, (step 3) actually got me a responce from the laptop, one long beep, followed by two shorter beeps. (I don't have any monitors that I can hook up to the PC at the moment, so I can't see Step 2's result.) I don't understand what that means though, and the lights did nothing. I really want to turn that thing on, and see a screen. I don't wanna go spend a bunch of money on some random new PC when I can boot this one up.
So, any suggestions?
I've tried everything from the site, and that did me nothing.
I'm determined to turn this thing on. PLEASE HELP!

I cannot use my camera in window 10. I test on Skype, Chrome, Firefox.... But on edge is ok
I updated last window version, update driver but not work
And I tried roll back to window 7 it's ok.
Then I install window 10 again and update again and the problem doesn't change

I have been annoyed with the touchpad when it resizes my browser or my desktop icons. It happens when I drag the cursor right to left but it is erratic. Are there special areas on the touchpad or a way to disable this behavior?

my f2 key all the way to f11 are not doing what it should this problem started a few days ago and i havent done anything to damage it or mess with files or whatever. Some of the buttons still work but dont do what it should for example f2 which is the decrease brightness button now does nothing when pressed where as f3 which is the brightness increase button seems to open a header at the top of the page searching for page numbers, keys f2-f11 are all experiencing one of these two problems.
please help me.

I have configured Windows Hello for login my laptop. But from last few day it is not working, the camera is not turning on. I checked sing-in option and tried to improve recognition, but the camera is not turning. But using camera app I can take picture or I can do video call in skype. Now what can I do to active this? Im working on the computer and from all the sudden, it stars to open and close windows and select things and change de size of windows.. it looks like it has personal life.. I see the screen with some little balls as if someone is touching the screen..
Well, that´s it. I live in Brazil, but I bought the notebook in the US last september at Best Buy.
I really need help to solve this problem and for my surprise HP in Brazil doenst give me any suport....
I have used my touch screen for 2 years and now it stopped working. I followed the troubleshooting and it actually says in the product description that 'no pen or touch input available for this display'!!!! I haven't done any upgrades or changes, this seems to be out of the blue!
Just updated my graphics drivers for AMD 10 Radeon R5 laptop to 16.10 as prompted to
and left it run and after half an hour the screen was still black
turned it off and only the HP logo loaded and after the backlight was still on but nothing else showed
managed to get to safe mode and now backing up my data but want to know how to fix this
spent weeks putting my programs on and don't want to have to lose it all
how do I fix this and is there anyway to revert back to previous drivers

I bought this laptop 5 months ago, I'm on university now in another city away from home and I'm not happy with it as much as I thought I'll be. Cause I had to move from my PC i bought my self laptop for ~1100 euros(and thats like alot of money), so i could enjoy all those new amazing games. But there comes the problem. On every game I have on it, my FPS drops as soon as something starts to happen in game, like in League of legends, Mass effect 2, rocket league, csgo; that i played on locked 60 fps cause lags were much bigger if uncapped... so I'm afraid to even buy something like new NBA, GTA V, and things like that for what this beast was suppouse to used, with running them on very high/ultra without problem... I really need help with this thing, it costs too much to FAIL all those sh***y games I could play on my PC on very high/ultra, 60 fps locked, without droping... And yeah I tried everything, looked x,y videos on youtube, forums, etc., and nothing worked in solving my problem. PLEASE help me :'(

Notebook was having malware and spyware issues. I was unable to retrieve system recovery for some reason and I didnt want to image over the recovery file so I made a VHD and installed windows 10 from scratch. Made sure all drivers were installed through windows updates and at the drivers and support page for this model. I cant seem to get the touch screen capabilities to work. I used HP support assistant to attempt to install the Intel IO serial driver although it fails every time. I downloaded the driver manually hoping it would solve this issue although it did not. Any one know of a good fix?
I have an HP Pavilion laptop and it is currently setup to an HP Compaq LA2405x with a DVI to USB and I recently bought a HP Compaq LA2405wg and have it hooked up through DisplayPort to HDMI but the laptop will not detect it at all. I've updated the HP Pavilion with all updates that were showing in the HP Support Assistant. I think I should also mention the computer is running Office 10.
Please help me figure this out.
Elitedisplay e241 has constant blank space gap border on left of monitor, can not get rid of it no matter what i do.
Tried updating drivers, changing resolution and display settings, tried new and different cables, tried using it with the dock tried using it without the dock.
