My Envy touch screen has had problems since I got it. It was purchased in December 2016 but I just put it into use last month. Almost every time I open it after sitting closed for a period of time, the screen starts jumping around with phantom mouse clicks going off everywhere opening, closing, resizing & generally wrecking havoc on anything that is open. If I close and reopen it a couple of times it will work for a bit but the touch screen is so unpredictable as to be worthless. I have tried to figure out who to contact but I cannot even get past the find your product portion of hp's website because it keeps saying it cannot find that product. Thank you for any help!

HP Pavilion x360 touchpad not working running Windows10
Hi, I am using a HP Pavilion x360 convertible running windows 10 64 bit. My touchpad does not work ever since Microsoft installed an update to version 1607, my touchpad does not work. If you go to the mouse settings, in the ELAN section there is no option available to you, as if the drivers for the touchpad have been completely removed. Please can you help

8570w DreamColor screen issues.
Hi I have a problem with my EliteBook 8570w screen.
So recently I have replaced the regular fhd screen with a DreamColor (of the previous 8560w) I moved the entire top cover (screen + laptop cover) vice versa. It fitted perfectly and also the connectors on the motheboard. The regular screen is working great on the 8560w but I have some issues with the DreamColor on the 8570w..!
Here are the issues: I must turn on/off the laptop 5 times for the screen eventually to turn on completely!
First, second and third bootup it will go on black screen (with back light on for a couple of seconds) and then completely turns off (no back light nothing). At the fourth time it will turn on and see Windows logo for a second but then it turns off completely again and fifth time it will finally completely turns on! (All these times windows is booted just the screen is off!)
I have noticed when it's on and I turn it off and immediatly back on it will go on right away! After aprox. an half hour being shut down it will go back to the previous 5 times needed to boot up.. It's like some internal BIOS/motherboard battery was ''remembering the screen'' before it's drained or something.. So do DreamColor notebooks have a special BIOS or something, if so where can I find it? Can you please help me out with this issue? Thanks.

Brightness Function Keys( f2 and f3) NOT Working
Hi,
I have the same problem: some of my function keys are not working.
My device is a HP zbook studio g3 with model number T7V83ES.
I did a clean install of 10 education since i could get that one for free and my previous version was enterprise. The keys worked on enterprise although I had some issues with it before only I forgot how to fix it. More people at my university that have the same laptop are experiencing the same problems, unfortunately this is not the case for everyone that owns the same laptop.
Here's what I did and what it resulted in:
-Installed every driver/program that seemed appropriate and was listed on the original HP website for software and drivers for my device.
Result: My keys were not working at all. (brightness, project switch and mic mute keys)
-I asked google and tried every single solution I could find, including the ones you suggested.
Result: Mic mute key is working, project switch key is also working, and as if it was a miracle my brightness keys are also working! But: my brightness keys are stuttering like hell. It takes windows ages to register my keystroke and even longer to register another one directly following it; it can not register 2 keystrokes in a row, it needs a sort of cooling down time for the button.

HP Envy 17 screen
When I turn my Envy 17 on, all that comes up is the hp logo, and the circle just keeps spinning in the screen. I have tried hard boot but it continues to do the same thing.

OMEN Laptop - 17t gaming - w151nr Screen flickering after only 2 months!!!!
I bought this laptop just in December, and after 2 months, the screen start flickering as I come home. Screen flickering with many stripes of color across the screen.

I have a new (2 month old) HP Pavilion Laptop. When streaming video online, sometimes the video lags and skips. The lagging seems worse when the video is full screen.
The computer also seems slow when running multiple programs or when opening new programs. I'm not using much hard drive space so I don't think that is the issue.
I'm wondering if there are some tweaks I can make to optimize performance, such as prioritizing the application that is in the forefront, or anything else. I am ok with sacrificing battery life to do so. I have already set the computer to the "high performance" power option.
Some other computer specifics:
I do NOT have the touch screen option
Windows 10 Home (64 bit)
AMD A6-7310 APU Processor with AMD Radeon R4 graphics (2.00 GHz)
4GB RAM (3.47 usable)

Screen stays black
Hi, My hp chromebook model 14-x030nr screen will not turn on. the battery light next to the AC plug blinks non stop with a white light. The power light is on and doesn't flash. I have tryed holding the power button down. I have tryed unpluging and disconecting the battery and holding the power button. I have tryed holding the power button and the reload button at the same time. I have tryed holding the power + reload + Esc buttons at the same time. Nothing seems to get the screen to come back on. What is my next move?

HP ENVY 13-j000 x2 Detachable PC
My wife's HP Envy X2 13-j000dx video display has intermittent, vertical lines that "flash" on the screen all the time. It was purchased from Best Buy with Windows 8.1 on it and upgraded to Windows 10 some time ago. All the HP and Microsoft software are up to date.
I booted into the UEFI software and ran many of the diagnostic tools, all of which "Passed." The Vertical line flickering problem almost never appeared, but when it did appear it was running a "Memory" test. And it expecially appeared when running the Memory Component Test.
I looked into purchasing new memory modules, replacing them, and running the tests again - but it appears that all 8GB of the System Memory is "On-Board". Meaning I'd have to purchase a new Motherboard to replace the memory. Who thought that bright idea up? If I'm right, and it is the memory, it turns a simple $30 job into a serveral hundred dollar job. Bad design.
As I stated earlier - ALL the tests "Pass" - including the System Board, Video and Memory - but any test that runs a "Memory test" the intermittent vertical lines appear. Is there something specific I can try that "Proves" or "Disproves" a main memory module(s) is bad?
It seems I just purchased this system a little over 2 years ago. I have 4, older, HP / Compaq systems here at home (1 running "XP" and 1 running "Vista") that have NEVER had ANY (other than a virus) problem -- and they are at least 8 years old. I also have a wireless HP Printer. What can I say, it prints just fine - and it's 3-4 years old. It replaced another HP Printer that "died" - after 8 years. This is a little over 2 years old... what happened? An HP Motherboard or memory module doesn't DIE in less than 3 years !

Weird resolution
Hi, after reinstall to windows 8 (same issue) and windows 10 (same issue) got this issue with monitor resolution. It can be only set to 1024x764 or 800x600 (but i got HD resolution).
It came back to 1366x768 after I reinstall bot of graphic cards (AMD and Intel). But after few days it came to 1024x764 resolution again.
I got right drivers, bios updated, intel management software installed, everything from HP with certificate.
Weird is that when came the wrong resolution i got this: Display not found

Screen rotation on a Pavilion
After the latest amazing Windows update (this is sarcasm, just in case it wasn't clear) - they always send a shiver down my spine when they do these things - the screen of my Pavilion won't rotate automatically anymore. I turn it upside down to use it as a tablet and it just won't rotate! How do I make it rotate accordingly to the direction of the laptop? This is very annoying, thank you very much.

Display Sleep/Log Off
Even though the display settings are set to 30 minutes before sleeping, with the no screen saver/no logoff setting, the laptop hiberanates and logs me off after a few minutes of inactivity. This is with the power supply connected. The battery always reads 100% charged.
This happens after the computer has been on for awhile,not so much when I first turn it on.

Display screen flickering

My laptop screen have some horizontal lines on top and bottom. Comes regular interval and at that time display stucks for sometime. I think the problem is for video cable. Where i can buy it, im from india. Im searched the partnumber in service guide that is too costly and not available in india.I need a cheapest solution. Hope ill get an answer.....

Screen Display gap on bottom
I just bought this HP and there is a gap between the task bar and the bottom of the screen about 1/16 of a inch. On a normal monitor you can adjust the screen but on a laptop I don't know how to fix this gap? Does anyone know what to do? I've updated all my display drivers to no avail.
