Hi
I bought my 34 inch wide HP widescreen, which I've connected to my laptop. The problem I have is that both on the left and right handside of the screens realestate consists of of 4-5 inch/ 10cm black border.
Can anyone advise how to alter the image so that all the screen is used?

I have a Pro Book 455 G1. The laptop has 4 GB of memory and plenty of disk space. I have run diagnostics and Antivirus software and SFC.exe just to ensure things were at least okay.
This laptop would not display through it's VGA output to a Smart board projector. I looked at the version of the Video driver and noticed that it was a generic Win 7 video driver. I selected update driver and it did update. The system then rebooted and that was the start of the problem. When the system came back up I got as far as " please wait" being displayed and that is where it stayed... For 6 hours (I walked away for a while doing other things). I loaded a last known good configuration and it was back to the begining. I tried downloading the AMD catalyst driver to my thumbdrive this time and running the installer. Same results, "Please wait".
These systems are AMD A4-4300M, 4GB 1600-MHz DDR3 with AMD Radeon 7420G, HDMI, VGA adapter
Any sugestions?

Last week I bought a hp pavilion 14-al011nd. I have netflix on the notebook and couldn't wait to watch with the new full HD screen. There is a problem though, while watching Netflix the coloring tone of the screen changes constantly from a "warm" coloring to a "cold" coloring. It almost looks like something in the screen isn't connecting well which makes it flicker the whole time.
I have shown the problem to the store I bought it and they said that wasn't good indeed. I received a new laptop immediatly. Now I have the new hp pavilion 14-al011nd, and it has the same problem! It is new out of the box.
It is just very annoying that the colors change all the time, and it makes me not want to watch series which is one of the reasons I bought this laptop (I don't have a tv)
Does anybody know what I can do about this? It is weird 2 different laptops have the same problem. Can I do something about it?
ps. I only notice the problem in Netflix. In the app as well as in the browser, it has the same problem.

how can i connect an external monitor and keyboard to my machine and then close up the laptop. Limited desk space makes this a must!
I can't type the symbol € using Alt Gr + 5 Result of doing so is nil. I can type it wait Alt 0128 but that is not the easy way, I need to do it often. Goes for word processing (LIbre Office), Mail, Gmail and sofar every program I used.

I want to change the contrast on this laptop. I can easily change the brightness, and the colors, but I can't seem to change the contrast. This is a problem because often lines and boxes on webpages are invisible.

My laptop's webcam is not working. The camera's LED is on but there's no image in no application. I've tried uninstalling it in the Device Manager and then installing it again, but with no success. Any suggestions? It was working two days ago and I can't understand why it is not working now! I've installed the Windows for it, because I really need the webcam, and the issue is still present. Please help!
My laptop is only two years old, and this problem just started happening to me a couple months ago. I used to be able to just open my laptop and it would turn on, now I have to press the power button. When I do, and it is plugged in, the display is black. When I unplug it, it comes back on. It's like it is backwards. also, whenever I try to turn the brightness up, it goes down. Whenever I turn it down, it goes up. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
The above notebook use to work with the hdmi cable to tv connection. Now there isno picture or sound. Hookedup anotherlaptop using the same hdmi cable and it works!!! Any aand all help is appreciated. Rbmj

I just recently purchased my HP Pavilion x 360 m3 convertible. I chose this laptop due to the touch screen and versatility of having a keyboard and tablet mode. I have been researching to find an active stylus that is compatible with my exact laptop but have not had much luck. Is this laptop active stylus compatible? And if so what would be the best stylus to purchase?

I have a new HP Envy 15T Model 15-as020nr and the monitor has "phantom touches" on the right side of the screen in a vertical line. It will continue for quite some time (minutes) opening programs and anything in it's path. The screen exhibits circle touch indicating a finger touch.
I already made sure the screen is clean and updated drivers and bios but it still does it randomly. It often happens after opening the screen after being in sleep mode.
Any suggestions from a tech would be great otherwhise it's getting returned...

hi i have hp probook 4540s . i got problem with my amd chipset . when i install my amd graphic driver then after restart .the blue screen apear and show me some error's like:

I wondering if there is a way to purchase only the digitizer glass for my HP Pavilion 17-g077cl. The LCD screen is in perfect condition and only the digitizer glass has cracked and needs to be replaced. I have been unable to find the replacement without having to buy the entire screen.
