HP ENVY m6-n012dx Notebook PC
My touch screen has worked for 3 years now. I have updated from Windows 7 to 8 to 10. Through all the updates, I have had no issues with the touch screen. Now, all of a sudden with no warning signs, the touch screen is GONE! The notebook appears to not be a touch screen when I know it is. I have looked for the driver, and there is nothing there. I am not having any other problems (i.e. touch pad is fine). HELP! I need the touch screen back!

I have a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC (J0B99EA#ABU) which has a discrete Nvidia GT840M & the on-board Intel video with a HDMI connector for an external display.
Can anyone confirm what HDMI version this supports (e.g. 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0) as currently a 27" Samsung Monitor I purchased which supports 2560 x 1440 is only showing as 1920 x 1080 or 1920 x 1200 when being connected to this laptop via a HDMI - > DisplayPort adapter.
If it's a newer rev. of the HDMI spec on the laptop I'll purchase a more expensive HDMI - > DisplayPort adapter that supports up to 4K.

My laptop is HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14f-048ca running Windows 10 Pro x64. My display adapter is HD Radeon 8330.
I have a driver issue. Everytime I update it to the latest version my laptop freezes often after booting up.
So I end up reverting back to the stable version 15.200.1062.0.
I have tried clean install of Win 7/8.1/10 x64 with the same result.
I have also tried updating from Windows Update as well as from AMD driver utility after cleaning up existing AMD drivers.
What's wrong with the latest driver?

I this is a easy answer! I have just purchased an E231 monitor to plug into my laptop. The monitor has VGA, DVI and Displayport but my laptop only has USB and HDMI ports. Can I just buy a cable adapting from from one of the ports on the monitor to one on my laptop and if so which one.?
I'm thinking VGA to either HDMI or USB.
Please help!

I bought this pc 3 months ago. I playing all games at 20 fps. Yes you can say your pc is bad. But I getting low fps at all resulitions and all settings. On CS GO all high settings 40 fps but dropping for 2 seconds. When I set the low I getting lower fps. I dont undurstand this..
On League Of Legends when game starting get 140 fps at ultra settings. But 2 minutes later going down to 40 50 fps. I tried all drivers but noting fixed. I tried win 8.1 but cpu was not support win 8 or 8.1" **bleep**" . No drivers For 8 or 8.1 .
After I tried windows 7 but I cant instal Wİndows 7 . Because laptop cant boot on CD.
I m asking you. This laptop is mine. Why you close all bios settings??? I cant change anything. I paid money but cant get service **bleep**????

my laptop:
there is a pink line about halfway across the screen and the top half of the screen is superimposed on the bottom half and it constantely jiggles.

I have read many reviews about HP's active stylus being incompatible with any of the HP Envy x360's. I'm here to finally settle this mystery. HP, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP TO FIND A STYLUS/PEN COMPATIBLE WITH MY HP ENVY X360. I could care less if the stylus/pen does not support pressure sensitivity. I just want a stylus/pen that I can use to take down notes with flawless and consistent pen strokes. Please, HP. This is a dire concern.
The dispaly brightness buttons on my Elitebook 1040 G2 (F9, F10) stopped working, perhaps with an update but not sure. I have installed the latest Windows updates and graphics driver, run scannow, DISM, to no avail. Anybody have a suggestion?
OK, I solved it. I installed the latest HotKey support drivers, which I saw suggested in a recent thread for a different model, and that fixed the issue.
I go to install the recommended update, Intel HD Graphics Driver and it consitently crashes my computer and reboots. Not sure if it's related but assume it is, video won't play in Windows Media player. Player launces and audio plays but the video doesn't play.
ReplaceDirect says that a new touchscreen for mij HP is due to be arrive in April is this true? Is there an other solution?
Where is the online switch that enables the hdmi port on my hp notebook. When I firat set it up there was a switch on my computer screen that you could click on or off to enable the hdmi. I have tried everhything, but just can't find it. Please help. Thank you for any suggestions.
My HP monitor scrolls up and down by itself. I'm positive it's the monitor because it does not scroll when using a different monitor. I've tried 2 different monitors and it doesn't do it. Only when the HP monitor is being used.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and the built-in screen is 4k. I need to use the lower 1920x1080 resolution quite often, because most of the applications I use won't scale to 4k (for example GIMP).
When I right-click Graphic settings (Intel) -> Resolution -> 1920 x 1080 on the desktop, the display is all blurry, even after I log out and log back in. Everything looks blurry, not just some apps, all of them. Also the Windows 10 UI is blurry.
Also, if I turn off my computer when using 1920 x 1080 the display won't turn on next time. I have to close the lid, open it and press the power button (wake from sleep) at least three times before the display turns on. After I log in there's always some message saying "You are not using recommended resolutio..." etc. This is very annoying, what should I do?
