Self-activating touch screen
I have an ENVY TS 17 Notebook w/Windows 8.1 64 bit. All software is up to date. I have had the computer for about 2 months. Great machine. I have had one annoying little problem occur twice so far. On two occasions the touch screen self-activated. You could see the spot on the screen where it appeared an invisible finger was repeatedly poking at the screen. Once this started the machne was unusable and the only way to get out of the situation was to hold down the power button until the machine powered down.
Any ideas?

HP Pavilion dv6 display completely greyed out
I own a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook, specifically the model that comes with Beats Audio. I run Window 7 on it and sometime about 4 months ago after trying to clean out the fan due to overheating trouble, the screen now only boots up with a grey screen and nothing more.
I've yet to find a solution that is very much helpful to me. Many suggest an external monitor but even then, the laptop doesn't communicate with the HDMI cable. at least I don't think it is. It's extremely difficult to tell at this point. It's way past warranty and even then, after opening it up, it would be void anyways.
Any solutions if any are all welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Flickering screen with my HP Pavilion DV 2000 laptop
Hi,
Wonder if anyone can help. My HP Pavilion laptop has a serious flickering screen problem. If I haven't used it for a day or so the laptop works fine for about an hour then the flickering starts to a point where I cannot read the screen.
I bought a small stand with usb powered fans underneath as I thought it may be overheating but this hasn't worked.
When it starts flickering I can connect any other monitor to the laptop and the screen is fine on the attached monitor but terrible on the laptop.
I have read a few threads and wondered if I could get a simple connector replaced or would I have to get the whole screen replaced?
Your help would be muchly appreciated.

hp revolve 810 on win8.1 no acceleromiter
hello all,
i have been having issues in regards to getting my hp 810 revolve to revolve:)
currenlty running bios f47 win8.1 with all graphics drivers up to date.
however when ever i put it in tablet mode the screen will not reorientate.
i have tryed the switch next to the power and i have search all known functions within the settings however there seems to be no option for the auto orientation to be switch on or off reconfigured.
any help would be greatfull :)

hang the video player and get slow
hello, I m using G42 with intel core i5 laptop. But, recently I have fallen a great problem. After operating my laptop, it runs good in 15 to 20 mins, but after suddenly it slows or even hangs. And even I turn on video playing it doesnot work for hanging. So pls suggest me.

Display driver required with 1024 x 768
I have installed win 8 in hp mini 110-3713tu, installation was successful but when i tried to open the app i got the display resolution message that "YOUR RESOLUTION IS LOWER THAN 1024 X 768. SOME ITEMS MIGHT NOT FIT AND APPS MIGHT NOT OPEN.
current display driver showing 1024x600.
Please provide me a link from where i can download correct display driver or if possible guide me how i can change display card.

No Sound
I have a HP ENVY 17.3" I connected a Sinotec screen to it and run it on the "Extend" mode in the Devices menu, now I do not get any sound on the laptop when I watch anything with audio. I have to switch back to only the laptop screen or unplug the screen to have audio. Any one that might know a solution?

I have Radeon hd 6490m in notebook. Where can i download fresh driver for my videocard? Latest driver in your support center: 8.91-111013A-132348C (30 Jan 2012), but already 2014! I download latest driver in amd.com (13.12 12/18/2013). The driver is installed correctly, but after a reboot is not working properly. When looking for a new driver through Device Manager even after installing the new drivers, the system sets the old(8.91-111013A-132348C).
Help, please! I bought a laptop for work, but the necessary software already can not work on these older drivers ((((((

Black screen but cpu works with external monitor
Hello,
I have a G6-1d11dx and the monitor stopped lighting up. The issue is not the screen because I replaced the screen and my old one worked on another laptop. I also replaced the ribbon that goes from the motherboard to the monitor. The computer works fine with an external monitor. I updated the drivers and BIOS, to no avail. The cpu is only 2 yrs old. Do you have any other solutions? Thanks

pavilion DV6
Recently I am experiencing multi coloured/ white lines flashing across my screen. There seems to be no pattern to when they occur or for how long for. Sometimes just a few and then no more, then other times lasting for about a minute. Would this be a problem with the software or hardware?

Issue -
VGA Planar does not alway wake after system goes into sleep mode. Requires being creative with power off power on cycles to get back to zero.

Help Please
i have HP ENVY dv6 and i updated my drivers with the help of HP support assistance . When i right clicked on the desktop i saw a new option in the graphics options that wa " Intel Widi " i think i m not sure. After clicking this option my screen became Black and fully blank . When my Computer starts it becomes blank after some loading PLease help me how can i reset my resolution ?? :(

Laptop to external monitor
I hope that this is the correct board to post this on.
Anyway.
I have an HP Envy DV7 7270-CA, and I recently bought a 27" Packard Bell monitor, to use as an external monitor for my laptop, as well as a monitor for my PS3.
I am currently using the monitor (as I type this) and it is at 1920 x 1080 Resolution, but not everything is fitting onto the screen. I only have half the close button for my Google Chrome browser window. Some of my start button is hidden under, and I can only see half the time. Is there any way to fix this please? Thank you.

Display Controller Not Functional
Hi, a while back my laptop started to show the 4 blinks on the caps button. I reinstalled Windows thinking this may fix it. However the blinking has stopped and it is booting fine, it is now much slower than it used to be, and whenever I press ESC in BIOS to try to access startup options it starts to blink again. I cannot use my HDMI port which I presume is something to do with this problem and also my sleep button is always greyed out in the shutdown menu. All in all, apparently my display controller isn't functioning properly, however I can use the laptop, it is slow which is a pain as I do a lot of music recording and gaming. Any suggestions..? It's a HP Pavillion dv3 4050ea running Windows 7 Home Premium.
