Guys we just got word that our software vendor will require us to have laptops 1980 x 1080. Our Elitebooks (bought last year) only config to 1366 768.
The machines can be bought with that resolution.. is it possible to have new components installed to meet the 1980 spec.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
After a bios update is my graphics card limited on battery. When i plug in the AC adapter works the graphics card normally. I have changed every setting that have effect on the graphics card her performance but it makes no difference.
Is there someone with a solution for this problem?

ps the you tube video that person posted is the exact thing happening to us. no way to gain control of the cursor other than forcing a hard restart.
I bought this laptop and after i opened the box i went for a video to see the display features. Then i noticed that there are White Spots\Screen Bleeding at the edges of the screen.I returned the laptop to dealer and he told me this was not a fault or defect and he was not going to change it.They simply do not accept that this is an acceptable condition to replace the laptop.He agrees that this happens to many products and he knew this was the issue in his many products but refused to return it.I need advice...

Hello, I have just purchased this new HP omen gaming laptop and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I run a 24" BenQ gaming monitor on the HDMI port as my main monitor, and leave the laptop display as my secondary monitor. When I extend my desktop like I usually do on my older Alienware laptop, I am unable to playback video on browsers in full screen. I have tried chrome, MS edge, Firefox. All produce a black screen while audio is fine. I updated all the drivers, BIOS, windows, everything. I even tried Intels Beta Drivers to no avail. I have searched for weeks on a fix and was about to return this thing, to find out I was a day past the return date and am now stuck with it. I found numerous fixes all which have not worked. The only thing that allows me to have fullscreen playback was disabled hardware acceleration in the browser which works, but wont work for what I need.
I have noticed a few things now. 1, if I change the resolution of the secondary display, my internal laptop display, it plays full screen no problem. If I make it my primary monitor, it plays no problem, which then I cannot game on my big external monitor.
Also, if I disable Intel graphics and only use geforce, it works as well, but then battery life is gone when im on the move. I have seen 100's of forum posts with hundreds of people reporting this on Intel as well, so I am drawing closer to the conclusion its due to the new Skylake CPUs. This is totally unacceptable in my book, as it defeats the purpose of having the HDMI output, and wont allow basic things to work.
Has anyone got a fix for this yet? I know I am not the only one. I found a few people successful changing settings in BIOS, but unfortunately HP locks the bios down which had I'd known that I would have never purchased it in the first place most likely. Which reminds me, I hate that my USB ports wont turn off when I put the thing to sleep, and I cannot get the settings in bios to do it, as windows settings dont override it and they stay on keeping my laptop cooler on all day and night unless I do a full shutdown, and my cat bumps my mouse and wakes it up as well, even with wakeup disabled in windows... Also the wonderful weird ticking noise coming from the power brick when its off seems odd too. I think I may have just got a garbage unit? Anyways, back on topic.
So before someone tells me that I need to disable hardware acceleration, I want to state that this does allow me to fullscreen video, however it causes extreme FPS drops during league of legends while recording with plays.tv. So this is unacceptable. Especially given my 2013 Alienware laptop with half the power of this machine can watch a stream on 1080p fullscreen on laptop screen, play LoL on max settings while recording on 1080p and listening to spotify, and stay at capped FPS all day.
Please if anyone has any information let me know.
I am running a HP/Compaq nx9420, with 4GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, Xfinity WiFi, and Microsoft Windows 10 32bit I have set it up so that my screen is supposed to stay active for 5 hours when plugged in, but it goes blank after 5 minutes. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I don't have the time or patience to run through 1,389 pages of questions and answers. Also is 4GB of RAM the maxium for this machine? Hello, i have been looking around the drivers page for my laptop and i found an AMD graphics card driver i had a look online and the i found out that some hp pavilion notebooks have switchable graphics is was wondering if my laptop was compatible with it and how to enable it. i tried to install the driver and said that another device was detected.

I uninstalled CyberlinkYouCam and installed it. Did not work.
I uninstalled the driver Imaging devices / HP Truevision HD
Then I clicked on action 'scan for HW changes' but the drives did not be re installed.
Where can I downloader the HP Truevision HD driver?

I had formatted my notebook and installed windows 7 home basic. The option of brightness control is missing. There is no slider present. I had tried searched using Windows mobility centre but there is also no option for adjusting brightness.

You can see in the image how in the login page the my desktop screen and others imagesare appearing in back side with red colour border.This is the log in screen and same happens in desktop whatever application I open somepart of the image remains in the desktop and the screen colour is also changing some light green and some times light red. Clarity of the screen is very dull , It has been only a week I had bought the laptop.

I dismantled my pc to clean it and update the ram when I reassembled it and powered it on the screen didn't come on but the indicator lights on the power button wifi button and caps lock came on the caps lock light flashes but it doesn't power on any further it just stays black screened can you please me fix this problem
I just bought a HP 15-ay006nq and installed a version of Windows 10 and 64 bits.
The issue is that when it tries to recover from sleep mode the screen blinks, nothing appears for a while and then appears and dissapers some kind of image with lots of colors, and it never recovers from this until it is turned of and on again.
