on boot up after i put in password it goes to start page on windows 8 64bit its fine, sometimes not ,but as soon as i go to do anything if it already hasnt started my display starts blinking between 2 sometimes 3 different windows and it continues to blink and i cannot do a thing once in a while it will stop always on the start page then it will start again i need a solution before i get too mad and this computer gets flying lessons any and all help will be greatly appreciated
how can i stop my display from jumping from one page to another constantly so i cant do anything

Webcam on HP Pavillion g7 won't work
Hello,
I was Skyping earlier today and my webcam randomly stopped working. I tried using other solutions offered here on the website. There's no sign of Cyberlink Youcam on my laptop although I know for a fact that I had it installed.
I can't find the webcam on the Device Manager and I attempted to do a system restore. None of these provided a solution.
Since my product has no guaranty anymore, my only option is to ask the community for help.

Just purchased the new Spectre x360 2-in-1 and my left click only works half the time
I just purchased the new Spectre x360 2-in-1 today and for some reason when I use my mouse pad, and try to use the left click, it only works 50% of the time... Most of the time I have to continuously click until I can actually get to a new tab, field, etc...
How can I get this fixed? If there's no way to fix this then I guess I have to go back to a Mac... Was hoping to be able to try something new!

The light of my webcam is on, but it's not showing any image.
Hi,
I have a HP laptop with in-built web camera. I have bought it last January, from them onwards, everything was fine but from the last day, the web cam is not working properly. I use Skype for video calling, from yesterday, suddenly the light of the camera becomes visible whenever i became online, but it doesnot show any image. I have also checked the camera through the option of clicking images, but there also the same thing is happening.
Kindly provide me a solution.

atikmpag.sys Video Tdr Failure and other Bluescreen
i was playing dota like i usually do(been 2 years now with this laptop) and the lasttime its crashed and turned off the screen of my laptop, and then i press the power button to restart it, when it starting up, its comes up into a bluescreen(before login to my windows acc) says VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (atikmpag.sys) sometimes the error is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, sometimes BAD_POOL_HEADER and sometimes also MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
and i restart again and still get the same error, i tried to google it out, and they said that i need to renistall the display driver and update it to the last version. i did everythings start from refreshing my pc, resetting it, restore from backup points, last known good configuration, safemode antivirus full scan, and whenever i use 2 driver at once the bluescreen always happen intelhd4000+radeonHD7600
but when i unistall 1 of them, the graphics just fine, i tried everythings everyway that comes up @google
im so frustated..... i had 6 gb total available graphics memory before this probhappen
now with only intel hd 4000 i only have 1.7gb.

i did try renistall Video driver/Renistall Windows etc but none of those seems to be working.
update:
i brought my laptop to be fix into 2 different computer/laptop shop
1st shop told me that i have broken hardware and tell me to replace the hardware : the Vga card chipset but this shop cant cause they dont have the tools.
2nd shop told me that i have broken hardware and tell me there is no other way to fix this, because replacing the vga chipset on laptop isnt possible at all, and tell me that i should run this laptop without any vga installed which only have 258 video memory by using microsoft basic video adapter adapter. (this shop is the same shop where i bought this laptop)
note: BOTH shop ARE NOT official hp store. they are more like retail store.
so i need answer here.. "if my hardware ( vga chipset) is broken, can i replace it with "identical" vga chipset?
if i can how do i do that? and if i have to go to the store where is the location of hp official storein here

No option to select video call in Skype for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
I recently bought an HP ENVY Notebook i7-6700HQ 17 inch with built in webcam.
Windows 10 was pre-installed and I loaded Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS next to it, as well as Skype for Linux.
When I want to use Skype and I select a contact I only have the option for a call without video even the contact is video capable.
I checked with Cheese and it detects the webcam on my notebook.
With a previous MSI I had to enable the webcam before it could be used.
Is this also the case with this HP laptop?
Any other suggestion which I might try?

HP Pavillion Intel Core I3 DISPLAYING ON A MONITOR
Hi,
I have connected my HP laptop to an ACER monitor for a larger display. I have connected it via a VGA/HDMI lead.
It displays on the monitor however its very fuzzy. Not clear like it is on the laptop. This happened with a previous HP laptop but when I closed the lid on the previous laptop it became clear.
I close the lid on this laptop and it goes off.
Please advise me what to do to get it clear on my monitor.

Windows 10 read that my vga is 32 mb
After i setup windows 10 home, and install drivers my laptop vga read that it only 32 mb although my ati vga card is 2gb this problem happens with windows 10 only and i cannot play any games because of this problem, i have installed all display drivers but problem not fixed.

14" FHD displays burns my eyes
I have bought an EliteBook 840 G3 (T9X55EA) with a 14" FHD (1920x1080) display.
I do not know why, but it literally burns out my eyes. It feels like if you looked at arc welding - the effect stays with me for days. The retailer won't take it back, because I opened it to install an HDD, so there is no warranty anymore. This laptop will stay with me.
I spent a week, trying different OSs, versions of drivers, brightness, PWM etc - with no effect.
Is it only my problem? Does anyone experience the same.
I am very sorry to have wasted $1,200 for a useless piece of hardware. I just can't look at the screen anymore, it hurts so much. My sight deteriorated because of it - now it hurts also with other screens.
The question is, if I replace the display panel with a QHD or HP+ - will it a) help and b) work?

Brightness nd keyboard unavailable.
I had an issue with hard disk, so i have replaced new one. Now i have installed windows 8.1. The main problem is when i use windows+c, i am getting options on my right side and after that when i select settings, at the bottom right i am facing unavailability of brightness and keyboard selection options. Even my f2 & f3 keys are not functioning. This issue is creating a great damage to my eyes. I have already browsed and tried all the methods present, even on youtube also. Updating driver method didn't show any progress. So please help out from this issue with a new better solution. Thank you.

How can I re-map my F keys?
Hi,
I have an HP Probook 6470b running x64 bit Windows 10. My F keys do not function properly or at least not how I would like them to. If I hit f6 for example, the label on the key says it should lower my volume, but instead it highlights the website url. If I hold fn and hit f6 it will lower the volume however. I want to be able to make so I can just press the key without holding fn and have the key perform the function that it is labelled for. I went into BIOS and the current version of BIOS does not have any Action Key settings I can change. I tried downloading an HP Hotkey Support driver, but that didn't seem to accomplish anything either. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as it's pretty annoying having the keys function in their current manner.

Multiple cursors freezing on my screen
When I use two fingers on the touchpad to scroll down webpages or documents on my computer, sometimes the scrolling cursor freezes. I have had up to 6 of them freeze on my screen and they will not go away unless I restart my computer. They don't affect how the pages scroll or anything, they just sit there. If I put the mouse pointer over top of them, the blue busy icon shows up. The picture below shows two of the cursors. How can I stop this from happening? With my work I highly depend on scrolling efficiently, so I need to be able to use the touchpad for this.

HP Spectre LCD screen
I just spent 1 hour on HP support trying to get my LCD screen fixed under warranty only to be told at the end it would take 9 business days and cost $450. My laptop is only 5 months old and under warranty until March 2017. I told them that if I didn't have my laptop for 2 weeks I would not be able to work and I would get fired. They said it was my choice. How is it under warranty if it costs $450? Does anyone have experience in getting this repaired under warranty in a timely manner?

Howdy, I'm running a nx9420 on Win 10, 4GB, 1TB hard drive. I have 2 issues. I have the display set to never go dark on both battery and AC. But the screen goes dark after 5 minutes then I have go the ritual of putting my password to get back to my screen. Next same notebook. different problem. When I bring it out of hibernate, the WiFi on the screen says IK have no connection. So I have to reboot to bring it back. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Webcam doesn't work after Win 10 update

Can anyone help me? After Windows update my webcam resigned to work. I also downloaded the latest camera driver and nothing has changed. It is curious that for example on Skype video messages work, but video conversations don't work. Does anybody know how to solve this problem please?
