Hi,
I have a HP 2013 Ultra Slim Docking Station with Elitebook pro 840G1 but I can't display op either DP ports from the docking station when I connect my Dell 2516Q 4k monitor. When I plugin the DP cable directly on the laptop it works like a charm.
Seem that the dockingstation doesn't support this monitor. Is there a firmware or driver I need to install to get this working?

I was looking for spin bikes on Amazon when the cursor went crazy, flying up and down the right side of the screen selecting everything in its path making it impossible to get anything done. While I was trying to figure out what happened I got an error message that said it was going to be reported to HP and then my laptop was going to fix itself and restart. Well, that didn't work so I went online for help. I have done everything recommended for touchscreen issues and none of it has worked. The download offered didn't work because it said it didn't recognize the name, whatever that means. The warranty ran out two months ago, I need this computer for college and I don't have the money to go out and buy a new one.Please if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
there is a 2 cards, one is apu amd8330m and second is gpu hd8550m discrete. they should be dualgraphic mode.
on system is installed latest amd driver/s and crimson software. in device manager ,says that discrete gpu hd8550m have problem;
(Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_666F&SUBSYS_2194103C&REV_00\4&1aeef8a&0&0011 requires further installation.)
speecy,sistem32 etc. says that this discerete gpu is disabled! and says that also crossfire is disabled.
in device managr is both enabled,works properly
can i fix this somehow

The problems started ever since a regular windows update and bios update through HP Support Assistant went through.
Following those updates, my laptop now stutters and lags every 5-10 seconds whenever I play a game WHILE CHARGING. This was not a problem before the updates. Attempting to solve the problem, I reset my laptop a couple times and started from scratch. I made sure battery settings were at max or balanced. Those haven't worked. The thing is, I can play League Of Legends and other games on high quality on only the battery. Only when it's charging does it begin to stutter and lag. It's been a couple months since this problem came and I have yet to figure out a solution.
I am dying at the fact that a 700$+ laptop is making gaming ineffective in comparison to my 6 year laptop.
please, i need nvidia video driver for my hp dv6500. really searched but couldn't find one . would appreciate if a link is at least given to direct me. Thanks
Problems:
Regular slow and freezing of laptop for seconds and more while
-playing music on Windows Media Player
-playing games like FIFA 15
-may create buzzing sound of playing music
After freezing, I can see full increased rate on DISK perfomance on Task Manager for the interval
while certain increase in CPU performance
and less increase in Memory.
I think maybe there is problem while accessing hard disk data (TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100) or
graphics card driver (due to intel HD Graphics and NVIDIA GEFORCE) or
sound card driver or
(although graphics and sound is working well)
I installed drivers using HP Support Assistant.

I am having an issue with my touchpad delaying while I play games. Anytime I use 'WSAD' to move, I cannot use my touchpad because of the delay. I went into my settings and even advanced touchpad settings and reduced and turned everything off but it still doesn't seem to help. I have watched several different videos going in depth on the settings and still nothing. I did not just spend big $$ on a gaming laptop for it to not work when I try to game!!! Please help me!
I got a refurbished HP X360 Envy 15 u-493cl a week ago. It is working perfectly fine and all the drivers and bios is up to date in windows 10. However, the auto-rotation lock option in the panel and the display options is greyed and cannot be unlocked.
Also the screen doesnt rotatte in tablet mode. And the option is never enabled, it remains greyed out and locked in whatver mode the laptop is.
I am really upset over this and want to know what is the solution to it.
I have connected my laptop to my tv using a
3M Premium VGA SVGA 15pin Monitor Cable Lead Male to Male PC TV it displayes ok on the TV but the screen on my laptop goes black on both sides of the screen & the icons shift around on the screen, I can still use the laptop but it is to hard to see & comes to full size when I remove the cable from my lap top. can you tell me what I need to do to get it to full screen on my lap top. thank you
Sir, firstly my caps lock is not respending correctly as in my caps lock is blinking continuously everytime i open my laptop which would freeze my whole operating system. Also letter 'B' and 'N' are responding to the caps lock light which making me toubled. Secondly due to this problem all my keyboard is not functioning properly such as - I have to click rapidly my volume keys to increase or decrease the volume, clicking backspace countinuously to erase the whole line etc. My last problem is with my dispaly as it shows a dialog saying display driver is not working properly even my drivers are uptodate. Plz tell me soulutions asap
Turn off display is setup to 10 minutes on my HP ZBook Studio G3 and after it switches off it cant be switched on by pressing keys on keyboard, touchpad or connected mouse. Its just blank.
I have to put it to Sleep using power button and turn on again.
This is very inconvinient, please help.

We have recently purchase a couple of HP EliteBook 1040 G3 - 14" laptops.
The resolution of these out of the box is 2560 x1440 which looks great.
However, when we start any application such as Word, Excel, Symantec Anti-Virus. When the applications open they are so small you can barely see what you are looking at. Is there a method of increasing the size of these applications without changing your laptop resolution so that you end up with large black borders down each side or absolutely massive icons?
We have tried driver updates but still the same issue.
Surely there is a fix for this?

Boot Device Not Found error - Only when I connect an HDMI cable to my Dell monitor. (I do this with this laptop in my other office and it works great).

As soon as I disconnect the HDMI and reboot everything is great again.
I have tried it with 2 diffeent HDMI cables (one that works fine in my other office and my HP monitor).

Have an old TX2-1020US, Vista Home Premium x64, which I love. My HD crashed, and replaced it. Went out and bought the HP Restore disk - which reloaded Vista in - but did NOT load the much-needed touchscreen software.
I have looked EVERYWHERE to find the application. Does anyone know where I can find it? I thought that the HP restore disk was supposed to put my notebook back to factory settings/software, but all it does is load Vista - nothing else. Now I can't use the touch screen feature.
We have purchased 2 new HP laptops which have both had the same video problem. The lines disappear once we start navigating, but it's an annoying problem. Any help would be great!
Hello please i recently bought a hp envy 15 which was said to have NVIDIA graphic but checking my device manager am only seing intel graphic 4600 and NVIDIA is no were to be found if i try install the downloaded driver of NVIDIA from hp site it tell me it not compatable with my graphic hardware doesit mean hp is trying to decieve it customers by giving wrong information about their product puting stickers of features that are not realy in the pc the produce?

I purchased a new Omen Laptop about two months ago.
About one month ago I noticed a thin horizonatl black line appear at the top of the screen, reaching from one side to the other.
It has since slowly moved down the screen so it is just inline with the x on the close button of a full screen app.
I have taken a screen shot to share with you but it doesn't show up in the screenshot, which makes me think it more of a physical problem.
Has anyone come across this issue before, or does anyone have an recommendations?

I don't appear to have any HDMI drivers but cannot find any for Windows 10. It will not connect from PC to TV doesn't read it at all have tried using other suggestions for Windows 7 but they don't work. I have looked through several different fixes and tried them all but nothing works - can anyone help me???? PLEASE
my Hp laptop wont even show my pictures unless i click on it. When i first got it, it worked amazing, only a few days after, i can't get it to show a thumbnail of the picture, i'ts just a white piece of paper with the corner folded, and i'm not sure how to fix that, i've tried everything i can think of, but nothings working. would you be able to tell me how to fix this?
