I am having trouble disabling the touch screen feature. How can I do this? Thanks.
PS- I'm asking because I cannot watch tv on my laptop with my provider's app. I keep getting an error message so I called and was told to disable the touch screen.

I'm getting ready to upgrade to Windows 10 and have a question regarding my laptop. Per my original order, the product number I ordered was E4S82AV, but the HP Support Assistant and the battery compartment say it is E1P14AV. When I key E4S82AV into the product number on the HP Support website, no software or drivers are found. I have a matte screen, non-touch model.
Can anyone tell me the difference between these two product numbers and why the one I ordered doesn't seem to exist on the support website? Is it because of the touch vs non-touch screen?
I'm just concerned that, if I need any software or driver updates, the ones under E1P14AV are really appropriate for my system.
For example, I had a problem with an update through the HP Support Assistant on my CyberLink PowerDVD Software failing (it did eventually update okay). It had a Softpaq number of SP70823 and that folder already exists in my C:\SWSetup folder. I checked the support website, thinking I would try to download the software from there, but I don't see SP70823 listed as an option under E1P14AV .

Since I got this machine and When I'm in the middle of something the notebook screen goes black and the only way to get the control back is by powering off. Any ideas how to solve my problem?

I'm looking for the Hp Spare part number, for the UHF antenna adapter that originally came with my Laptop. I've lost it and would like to get another.

It plugged into the little gold plug as per the photo. It originally came with two cables for it.. one was an actual indoor antenna, the other was just a short adapter cable that allowed you to plug in an exterior antenna. I'm after the exterior adapter.
Any help would be great, this laptop is perfect for when you go on holiday and want to quickly tune in the local TV stations.

About once everyday, my spectre x360 gets rapid ghost touches on a specific spot of the screen. Tech support updated the BIOS and graphic driver, and nothing worked. This is very annoying. It seems that many are experiencing similar issues. Was anyone available to solve the issue?
I got an Elitepad and upgraded it to windows 10. However, I cannot seem to get a stylus to work on it. I have a cocofang and an Hp executive tablet pen R1 and neither work. I tried to go to the, "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input," but when I tried it, the screen did not even register that I was doing anything. What do I do? What do I install? How do I get the stylus to work?
Have an HP Pavilion g7 which is giving a white screen. Tried connecting an external monitor, but nothing is happening. Anyone with a solution to this????? and what could be the cause of this????

I have bought this product 3 months ago "HP x360 Convertible 13.3" Touch Screen 2 in 1 Laptop 6th Gen i5-6200U 8GB 1TB" 2 days ago I found its screen was broken, I think it was dropped on the floor inside its contaning bag. It is still function well, but I want to know can I change the screen or not.

I upgraged my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I observed that the display brightness is too high and tried to decrease it using f2 key. The key was not working and I tried using f3 which is not wokring.
All the rest of the keys are working. For resolutions, I tried to verify my drivers (Display drivers - Radeon (TM) HD 8670M and all the other ones). All the drivers are up to date still the issue persists. Can any one suggest a resolution.
I have a HP pavillion 17-g121, i bought it in March in Walmart and it's refurbished. When i use it to play games, or watch movies there's no problem. But when i'm barely using it goes to a black screen and stays there untill i press the power buttom. It happens most of the times when i'm reading something or using word.
I don't know how to fix it and it's really anoying. The screen turns black, but ir doesn't turn off, it's like there no image, but still the light is on (idk if it's well written, im from argentina)
Please i need help, i cant return it because im not in the country. I've already looked for virus and malwares, installed drivers and updates, and checked for hardware issues with the hp support assistant and with the UEFI programme

I use my laptop regularly to present via LCD projectors using a VGA cable.
After a break of 4 weeks, I cannot get the output to work. On one projector / cable, the display kept flickering on and off, as if the connection to my laptop was physically wobbly at the location where the VGA cable meets the laptop. On the next projector / cable, my laptop registered that the cable was stable and connected and offered the display options for dual display. However the display was not shown on the screen. Both projectors / cables work well with other laptops.
Any ideas?
I have tried to install the amd hd 8670m drivers from different vendors but none of them works.
I just got a new HP Envy 17 laptop about 4 months ago. Whenever I open the lid of the laptop, the cursor jumps around on the screen, clicking randomly, for about 1 to 2 minutes, then works fine again afterward. It's annoying becuase whenever I take the laptop somewhere and boot it up to start using it, I have to wait a couple minutes for the mouse to stop jumping around, then close all the applications it managed to open on its own.
I'm dual-booting a Linux (Fedora 24) and Windows 10 OS. This problem occurs on both OSs. Disabling the touch-pad and using a wireless mouse solves the problem, but prevents me from being able to use the laptop without brining a wireless mouse with me everywhere.
This seems like a hardware problem, is there anything I can do to fix this?
