I have been looking for compatibile models that will work with my laptop for hours without any sucess now Im here. Trying to add a third monitor to my laptop
I am trying to add a third monitor to my exsiting laptop and 2nd monitor. This laptop ( pavilion dv7 4285DX) has a AMD HD6300M graphics card which is supposed to support 4 monitors. I am using the laptop main screen and second monitor hooked up to the vga port. I have a HDMI port which I am trying to hook up the third monitor to but system doesnt recognize it. I am only using it for data in a portrait configuration, no gaming usage (third monitor is a LG E2242 using a DVI-D connection, I have a HDMI to DVI-D cable) Currently running Windows10 Pro 64bit, System upgrades made are: two 1 terabyte each internal ssd drives. Cant seem to find anything online to help resolve getting the monitior to work using the HDMI port. ( open ports 1 sata usb, HDMI port, 3x std usb ports, sdhc card reader)

Blank screen, caps lock blinks twice
So I was using the laptop with an hdmi cord attatched to my tv and it wasn't playing sound. I went through the control panel and attempted a few different things with no luck so I rebooted the computer. When it turned back on only the tv screen worked and the laptop screen was black. No backlight just dark. I performed a bios recovery and that went through succesfully but the caps lock button still blinks and I still have no video to the laptop screen.

How to make stylus pen function with laptop
I have a Touchsmart TX2-1000 laptop that funtions normally with no apparent issues, with ONE exception. I cannot get the HP UP-719E-72A-1 pen. Are there any special settings that need to be set or switches that need to be selected?
The stylus pen is brand new from HP.

Cracked Sceeen
We purchased this laptop a week and a half ago and last night I went to open it and watch as it literally cracked down the middle of the screen. My husband looked at it and it seems that where the lip is to open it in the middle of the lid there is no support. The hinges are very stiff so that added pressure seemed to be the culprit. We contacted HP and were on the phone with them for over 2 hours last night and tonight. They would not listen to what we were saying and told us we had to contact the store we bought the laptop from. Has anyone else had issues with this? If you had it fixed, can you tell me what you did to get it fixed? We own nothing but HP and after this experience with them, we will never own antoher one.

I just purchased a new laptop. My last HP has lasted me almost 6 years and is still running strong. My new one, seems to have these random screen spasms where a line will split across the screen like a cracked windshield, only for a split second but it is very repetative and will not go away. Any help would be great, I am not good with computers so please, break it down to stupid level for me.

Can you add video card to Probook 450 G3?
Hello,
I'm looking at buying a Probook 450 G3, a model that only comes with onboard graphics. I see in the manual though that a dedicated graphics card (if I'm reading it correctly) is an option for the laptop. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether this can be added later on (say I'm on a budget and can only afford the model without dedicated graphics, but may be able to upgrade down the road)?

right hinge broke
Hi, recently my right hinge broke off completely. The plastic of the hinge fell off and now the metal as well as a cord is visable clearly. Every time I try to close it, it begins to tilt and doesn't completely close at all. This has been affecting the way the screen holds up on its own and the way that I try to adjust my screen. The hinge became a bigger problem when the screen and the plastic cover of the screen is starting to come apart. I would like to replace this as soon as possible if HP can repair this at all.
Please let me know as fast as possible and how I can send it to HP to repair as well as the cost. Thank you.

HP dv6 pavilion notebook webcam not working
Webcam has never worked. Knew it wasn't a software problem as downloaded all the updates etc and HP help desk then wanted to me to return to factory settings which is such a pain. So I said no thanks and then went to good old Google and the wonderful community of the world gave me my answer!! Managed to fix it by following the you tube clips about taking off front of computer (beval??) and then fiddled with wires to right of camera and lo and beyold it now appeared in my list of devices whereas previously did not even show up!!! I feel like Rain man thanks to all those helpful people who posted things earlier - thanks heaps

HP Envy x360 m6 display driver update fails
I've tried several times now to update my graphics driver from 10.18.15.4281 to 20.19.15.4360Hp1. Everytime I try to update it through the HP Support assistant it fails. I even found the setup file on my computer and tried to install it manually and it still failed. When I updateded it manually it said that one or more driver updates has failed.

HP 2000 Notebook PC black screen, but HDMI works on TV monitor
"For Dim display issue if you use a flash light and point it on the screen you'll actually see the screen behind....And for display cable failure there will be no display or blurry..lines etc.."
IF this is true, when flashing the light on the black screen, I was able to see it, although it was very dim, So, what do i need to do in order to fix the screen?

need 2 more monitors
I'm trying to use a star tech DisplayPort to HDMI Multi-Monitor Splitter from star tech model MSTDP123HD to run 2 additional monitors (both are Pavilliom 23xw) with my Eliitebook 840 G3. Every time I go to display settings the pc does not detected the two monitors. I've updated my monitor drivers, so that shouldn't be the issue. The splitter doesn't require drivers. any ideas?

HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j137cl Graphics Driver
Apparently tons of users are having issues with the Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver for all sorts of devices. I'm wondering why there's always an updated driver for Nvidia when my product doesn't even have it? The 4600 driver from both here and Intel both crash, and sometimes I get multiple crashes in sequence. Is there something I'm missing?

Windows Hello not available on new ENVY X360 with IR Camera
I just received my HP ENVY X360 (T5K88AV). I ordered it with the HP Truevision IR HD camera, which according to the HP website, supports Windows Hello. However, I see no option under Settings > Accounts > Sign-In for it.
I spent an hour with HP Support Chat and let him remote in to take a look. He said it looked like no IR camera was installed. We tried installing the driver for it with no success.
Is there something I am missing? Is the HP IR camera known to work with Hello? Or is there something wrong with my hardware or drivers?
