The touch pad of my laptop (ForcePad) is having multiple issues above all when browing on web pages and emails.
when scrolling up and down with two fingers touch it offens click automatically on links without control.
I tried to change some settings on Synaptics but I did not succeed. I also reset all the settings to the original status but it got even worse. Now I cannot use the two fingers scroll up and down anymore but it still click everywhere when moving the cursor on the screen.
i cant play games which require 1gb graphic card,when i bought my laptop they said there is 2gb graphic card in this laptop c and c++ programs are not working

Why does hp usb 3.0 3005pr port replicator work with HP EliteBook 820 G3 Core i7 8GB 256GB SSD 12.5"`???
I plugged in the replicator to the laptop, started the laptop but get a black window saying Missing operating system.
I unplugged the replicator, re-started the laptop, no black window, I log in as always and everything is fine.
I plug in the replicator again, but the system doesn't recognize it.
When viewing the list of devices and what's connected to the laptop, it says "Unknown device connected" but updating the driver doesn't help.
I download the driver from hp.com but each time I restart the laptop I get the black window and "Missing operating system".
When I finally manage to update the driver of the replicator, I get the following message:
"Incompatible disply driver. The installed version of DisplyLink USB Graphics software does not support this graphics card, which uses a newer version of the Windows Display Driver Model. Please visit http://www.displaylink.com/software to check if a newer version is available."
When I visit the site and download the newer version, I get blue screen.
So, it seems to be impossible to install the replicator to this laptop.
I tested the replicator to another HP laptop from 2011 and it worked perfect!
What can I do to make it work???
I just bought this notebool, but I noticed that the colors do not look good, the white color tends to yellow, I installed all the latest drivers, but nothing has changed, my colleague has the same PC but the colors are different, faulty screen ?
Hello, i am using hp 2000. I have updated my windows 8 to windows 10 and started to suffer the brightness problem
For that i have tried following solutions but it is still not working.
-> For that i have tried many things like resetting BIOS setting, from device-manager updating the drivers even i have installed the intel chipset. Still the issue don't get resolved. I also tried to change the brightness through windows mobility center. Even the when i click the battery icon on task-bar it shows disabled adjusting brightness button.

I was cleaning screen of laptop & some water went down inside of screen. Screen is no longer readable. I would like to replace if a new screen can be ordered & replaced at home if possible. No HP service center in UAE but would like to buy a new screen while back in the USA and bring back with me to install.

I just got a used HP Compaq TC4400 laptop.
I installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on it.
I'd like to be able to use Paint Tool SAI on it with pressure sensitivity working. I have recently seen it working on one so I know it can be done.
Can someone please tell me what driver/file/app/setting/etc. I need in order for this to work?

I bought a secondhand HP Compaq 6715s. It has windows 10 pro installed but there seems to be a problem with resolution of the display (images look a bit discaled and I get a horizontal scroll on pages where I didn't get them on my old notebook). Resolution is set to 1024x768 and I can only change it to 800x600. In properties I see 'generic PnP monitor'. What can I do to get the right resolution?
Has anyone ever figured definitively whether or not the HP Elitebook 8470P display panel can be upgraded from 1366x768 to 1600x900? I currently have an AMD Radeon HD 7570M [Display adapter] which should have 1GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory. I should also have integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 according to this: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03373336 Also, according to that same link info, I should be able to switch out the current HD (1366x768) display for a HD+ (1600x900) display. They both use 40 pin connectors in the same location.
And this link ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03659338.pdf ) on page 3, shows that the 1600x900 display panel should work on the 8470P.
Has anyone successfully switched the panel out for a higher resolution model? Will I need to upgrade my graphics card?

I DOWNLOADED THE NEEDED DRIVER FROM THE HP SITE , IT DO THE INSTALLATION BUT IT DONT SEE IT ON THE DEVICE MANAGER.

ive been trying to find out how many screens my laptop will support. I only have 1 HDMI port.
i want to put 2 extra screens on my laptop and not use the laptop screen so I will only have 2 monitors on my desk and then hide the laptop.

I see i'm not the only one having this issue. Win 10 upgrade seems to have removed the driver for my webcam. I tried reinstalling youcam, no luck. Has anyone fixed this yet?
My computer is Non-Responive more then it is working.
If my memory is correct, I went into the Bios et. al. and set all to maximum performance years ago, as I am a firm believer of keeping the computer COOL!. I am **bleep** retentive in using cans of compressed CO2 to blow out the computer.
In reading I find that if the Cooling fan is part of the problem that I should get a warning that the fan has failed to perform to spec's. But my interpretations of this gives me the impression that this is tied to the Intel processor, and not looking at the AMD Radeon GPU 6770M.
As a side note I have also been uninstalling programs at the same time.
At first I thought I had a failing CPU, and or a clogged Heat Sink. In looking into the replacement of a CPU Fan, which I mentioned earlier I should have gotten a warning from the Bios that the fan was failing, I found it was the same cost to buy a new fan as it was to buy a Heat Sink with a new fan. Once I realized what the Heat Sink looked like, I got to thinking the GPU may be the actual problem of the computer becoming unresponsive, which is why I started wondering if I should replace both the Heat Sink and the AMD GPU.
Does anyone have any suggestions, advice other then to throw the computer away. I would rather to spend some monies and at the same time upgrade the computer to higher spec's CPU and GPU and get another year or two out of the computer as this computer has important information regarding a disadvantaged individual I have volunteered my time to represent, NO I AM NOT A LAWYER, in discrimination in the workplace having been an ongoing West Virginia Grievance for three years now and I am scared to death I will loose important work product if I loose this computer.
So If I have to pay to replace the Heat Sink and CPU Fan, can I also upgrade the CPU and GPU processors reasonably? As I figure if I hire someone to replace the Heat Sink with the fan, it only makes sense to have them dismount the CPU and GPU and at least clean off the heat sink paste and or replace the CPU and GPU at the same time, if possible.
Any Suggestions?

Can anyone tell me, why touchpad does not working?
I tried download drivers from HP site, search related topics on this forum, but every time I see error code 24 in device's properties.
Also when I select "reboot" option, Windows shutting down and then notebook off's the power.
May be there is hardware trouble with my notebook?

I purchased an HP Envy X360 about 8 months ago. I've noticed over the past couple of months that the display will blink (flicker) off for a fraction of a second on a regular basis. On average ever 20 - 30 secords.
I had read that it was a Google Chrome issue, but I've noticed it on everything, programs, apps, etc. It happens in both regular and tablet mode.
I've been searching the blogs, but I've not found anything that addresses this particular issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i just took this laptop out of the box and my mouse wont work. i dont no anything about it does anyone have any advise i cant get past the setup part thanks please help
