I have an Envy TS15 with an external secondary monitor (Benq 4k) on the HDMI port.

The colour difference between the two is amazing to see when I am working in Photoshop.

 

The Benq is very clearly superior of course but I would like to be able to adjust the profile for the built-in display.

 

I wopuild like to be able to get consistent colour across the two devices. The laptop of course does not have monitor adjustment buttons like an external monitor and seems to only be contollable via the built-in Windows monitor colour calibration - but this does not allow me to get a match between the two monitors (insufficient controls).

 

Is it possible to apply separate colour profiles to the two monitors - currently in extended desktop, if I change the profile on one monitor (in Windows) the profile seems to affect the other. A LUT checker tells me if I change the LUT on the laptop monitor, the same LUT is being applied to the external monitor.

Is there for example, a way to control onme with the Intel graphics card and the other with the GeForce 740m card and load LUTs separately?

I connect my Compaq Monitor S2022a to my Lenovo Laptop.  I have used it this way for over a year now.  Then, all of a sudden last week when I connected the cord,  the monitor connects but then a square shows up saying D-SUB and the screen goes black.  The monitor is still on but nothing shows on the screen.  Please help!

I detached my screen from the docking station a week ago. Now, I can't get the hdmi drive to detect  my external monitor. it's as if the hdmi drive isn't active

Hi, 

I am unable to play videos that I have transferred from my phone on my laptop (windows 8).  I have quick time installed but it will not play the videos. (I have an iPhone).

 

I assumed there would be something on the computer that would automatically play videos, but apparently not.

 

Therefore, I assume I must download something.  I read one rec. here, but it wanted to do other things to my computer, i.e change browser setting or I couldn't download, and I don't want that.

 

Can anyone recommend any program to download that is safe, and relatively user friendly?

 

Also, are there programs that can do simple editing?  I had a program on my old computer that would take photos and make them into a video, or could chop out parts of a video.  Simple stuff like that.

I've upgraded to Windows 10, but my HDMI no longer works. AMD no longer support the driver that is installed in my Notebook (AMD Mobility Radeon HD5000). What can I do so that I may continue to use HDMI?

Hello

when i bought this Laptop i didn't have any kind of driver CD with it but its fine it was good before right now i was trying to install a new windows but it Doesn't show that there's any kind of AMD drivers on my computer

even when i'm trying to download AMD driver detect it said there's no AMD drivers for this computer

just install it after alot of tries on windows 8.1

trying alot of things and when i'm give up i just remove this OS and install another one to give it fresh start

i tried automatic driver download like driver boost , Driver pack solution

Nothing works fine it still 32mb on dedicated video not 2gb Please help me

my work on it is all depend on graphic and 32gb will makes me hang myself over its so slow and i got alot of work to do

if there's any question please let me know i'm stay on this topic waiting for someone to help me on this case

My laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ62, dual A3, 3Gb RAM, pretty much most bqasic model for this computer. The problem I am having is that the screen wont refresh. Not that it's flickering, or off, or bleeding: the screen will not refresh. If I press down/bend in a certain way at the top left section of the screen case, about a quarter of the way across the case, the screen will refresh, but only so long as I continue to bend/press down in that way. Once I let go, the screen wont refresh any longer. Other symptoms are the screen will turn white when powering up the laptop, and in order to get any sort of picture you need to press down/bend the case, as mentioned above, and open and cloose the laptop. I'm fairly certain its a cable within that's broken, but I don't know which cable it is. If anybody knows the cable or has any other solutions, please respond.

My backlit kayboard worked for many years.  I know how to turn it off and on.  I have not made any configuration changes to my machine when the backlight stopped working.  There were a couple of times when all i had to do was hit the f5 key a couple of times for it to come on.  Now it does nothing.  Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I've had my HP Pavilion x360 - 11-k120nr for a few months and have had no issues with it but now all of the sudden it won't automatically go into tablet mode when I bend or rotate it. I've tried restarting and looked at the settings. I can't quite figure out the problem.

Urgent help required,

 

Hello. Im using a HP envy J144TX touch screen laptop with an NVIDIA card. A black smudge has appeared on top left of my screen. And it changes shape every day and seems to be moving. At the moment i can see it grow pixel by pixel. The laptop is used carefully, never dropped or mis-used. Its even there when the laptop is shut down.  Additionaly, the laptop got infected with a malware but was removed using windows defender. this occured the same day after i removed the malware. Please advise. Pics attached.

I use the 3005pr USB replicator and a external 4K screen, but can only get 2560x1440. I have tried with both Displayport and HDMI.

When I insert the cable directly from the laptop (HP Zbook 15u G3), the screen displays in 3840x2160, as expected on the external screen.

 

I have downloaded the latest drivers for the 3005pr, but still the same issue.

Can anyone help out?

DRIVER ISSUE... PLEASE HELP

Graphic card driver for this laptop has not been programmed yet. I have cross checked with amd site they have no suppotability for it even drivers on HP site don't work.

Hello everyone on the Support Forum,

 

We got a weird issue with a recently new purchased HP Probook 450 G3.  

 

Since one week the laptop screen goes dark blue without any form of live if you dont use the laptop for a few minutes. De laptop still runs because you can hear the fan and the Harddrive spinning. If you try to move the mouse or touch a few keys it doesn't do anything.

We need to hold the on/off key in order to use the laptop again.

 

My first thoughts was that it could be a BSOD. But unfortainly it isn't, because I cant find it with the program called BlueScreenView.

Even if I look at the event viewer I can't find any form of errors, warnings or critical events regarding this issue.

If I check the energy settings regarding turning into sleep, hibernate or or/off it has been disabbled.

 

I can't find any similar problems and I can't register is for an RMA, because the support of HP Netherlands don't know a solution for it.

 

I hope someone could help us with this problem.

Hi,

 

in the last days i have troubles with the laptop:

 

In the left upper corner of the screen there is always an indicator identic as the brightness/volume indicator - always showing 100 independently on the actual values of brightness/volume. I am not able to make the indicator disappear.

In the same time some operations slow down (e.g. I have problems writing an email - the letters appear in the screen a few seconds (or dozens of seconds) after pressing the keys. The start button (both in the screen and the start key in the keyboard) do not work, the touch control doesnot work properly, the hot-keys (like alt-tab) do not work....

 

I though maybe some of the new actualizations do not cooperate well with the drivers - I tried to uninstall recent actualizations, but without any success.

 

Can you please tell me where is the problem and how to fix? Thanks.

Hello, I have a pavilion g6 note book almost 3 years old and for different reasons I had to switch between win7,8, Ubuntu operating systems, but both my keypad and touch pad doesn't respond at all, there is no issue with the red light in the keypad button. Please help me, I'm suffering the problem for a very long time and I am bound to use external USB devices for the same purpose.

I have an HP REvolve 810 G3 with only 1366x 769 resolution.

I cannot use my USB external Bluray player with this so I am considering a new laptop that will display full HD content in this manner.

Can anyone tell me if they have an HP Spectre 13-4193dx with which they have successfully watch blu-ray movies in full HD without any downgrade in the display.

I know the screen resolution is correct for this at (2560 x 1440) but  I am  concerned with the graphics display controllers, etc. I can only see that it has Intel® HD Graphics 520...is this fully compatible with blu-ray playback?

I put my laptop away for 2 weeks on a shelf while I was on vacation, I came back and opened it up and there was a star crack like something had hit it on the right side in middle of the screen. The outside cover is smooth and undamaged and the inside surface is is well. The laptop itself is performing perfectly, but I don't know for how long. Is this an ongoing problem? I have always used printers, 3 in 1s, desktops from HP, and was well on my way to enjoying this product. Please give me any information as to the cause or frequency of occurrence and /or any recourse I may have
