Hello everyone!

 

I tried so **bleep** hard to find a solution to this issue by myself, but i gave up after a week of searching.

At first, i'm running Windows 10 on Pavilion dv7 6b52er notebook, with internal video card Intel HD 3000 and discrete Radeon HD 6770m.

 

Since the Win 10 update everything worked pretty well (almost a year). I stayed on LeshCatlabs drivers for both cards (http://leshcatlabs.net/) and through driver updates there have never been any problems.

 

I use this notebook both for study/work and for gaming (LoL, CS:GO, Skyrim etc.). The 6770m got on well with those games, giving me nice FPS. The card temperature has never risen above 90 Celsius (monitoring by http://www.gputemp.com/), because the termal paste was fresh (<1 year old, i clean my HP myself).

 

It was an ordinary evening of my playing League. I turned off the notebook like i usually did, but the next day, when i turned it on, the 6770m has just disappeared from everywhere. And i was not able to find it since then.

 

What i tried:

1. Deleting/reinstalling LeshCat and official drivers.

What i got: No driver was installed, because no Radeon HD 6770m had been found.

 

2. Restoring from Safe Point.

What i got: Installed LeshCat driver, which was active that day, Catalyst Control Center not working, because no Radeon HD 6770m had been found.

 

3. Showing up ALL devices in Device Manager and looking for unknown device, which can be my Radeon HD 6770m.

What i got: No unknown devices found.

 

4. Using AIDA64 and Everest to look for my 6770m.

What i got: No descrete graphics found, only showing Intel HD 3000.

 

5. Restoring BIOS options to default.

What i got: No 6770m found.

 

6. Switching graphic modes "Fixed/Dynamic" and in both cases, hoping to see my 6770m in Device Manager.

What i got: No 6770m found.

 

7. Reinstalling Windows 10, full and clean install.

What i got: No 6770m found, only Intel HD 3000.

 

Has my Radeon HD 6770m actually died, so i can't find it with any of these ways?

The camera on my Laptop does not work and has never worked.  When i click on the "Camera App" from the start menu the app opens and says "to get started connect a camera".  When i try to use the camera online it wont open and doesnt detect there is one.  Please help!

After upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 the Synaptics PS/2 touchpad no longer has scolling ability. I have tried vertical and horizontal, as well as 1 and 2 finger. The touch pad is enabled and scolling is enabled. The current driver is 19.0.12.98 which was updated by windows update. I have downloaded and installed 19.0.19.1 from the Synaptics website and it didn't work. I have tried the Windows 8 driver from Synaptics as well and had no luck (failed to install even in compatibility mode). The original Compaq Windows 7 driver wouldn't work either. Unable to find any solution by searching or reading the forums. Any help is appreciated.

I've got this laptop and problem is -

1. It boots - shows Windows is starting with the logo and the screen goes blank. After that it reboots. It doesn't shuts off. And it's kinda strange, because firts I see logo Q - for Compaq and display then shuts off, then goes up - I see WIndows logo. I can't get into setup. I've checked power adapteer - voltages are OK even though some chinese replacement. I tried without battery - only on DC power and same does it again. Could be this problem with the video? Thank you.

I am looking to buy an HP envy 14 (j106tx model). I am a heavy photoshop and LR user. what is the color gamut coverage of the display screen - sRGB, Adobe RGB and NTSC. I am not able to get this information from anywhere. The only info available on HP website is "14" diagonal FHD anti-glare WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)". I need to know the color gamut coverage to make purchase decision. Thanks

Just bought my new Envy but of course it does not have a D-Sub connector so, cannot connect to HP vs17e Monitor with current cable. Can anyone suggest easiest/cheapest way to connect with either USB or HDMI. Have bought wrong cable twi=ce now and not sure what is correct solution. Adaptor? Buy new Monitor!!

I upgraded to Windows 10 and the touchpad worked at first, but now has stopped completely. There is no light on, but the system diagnostics and device manager say it is working. Have checked that is not coinflicting with external mouse and the driver is up to date.

All of a sudden my computer cannot project to my dell monitor. This has been working fine and then just stopped. I get the floating self test feature check  on 2 different monitors, both dell. Again, everything was working fine til Sunday.

Anyone know of a solution for this? Almost every time I undock or re-dock my laptop after a meeting, something will be unresponsive, i.e. my Ethernet cable will fail to be detected or my wired keyboard becomes unresponsive.

 

This is generally solved by a reboot (reseating the cable to the device that is failing has not generally worked), but I don't think this is necessary to solve the problem each time. I am still needing to look at things such as drivers (knowing that Windows 10 has its own method of fetching compatible drivers over HP Support Assistant or what's offered through the site).

since i bought my new laptop 2 weeks ago i havent been able to adjust my laptop's screen brightness, it is at it's maximum and the keys do not adjust it i have even tried doing it from the settings but still it doesnt work. Please help the brightness is affecting my eyes

I'm trying to hook up the hp 3005pr usb3.0 port replicator to my windows 10 laptop.  The Laptop is NOT an HP laptop.  The site claimed that this port replicator was compatible with windows 10 PCs.  Is that the case or will it only work on an HP laptop?  I have installed the latest drivers from HP, and I have installed the latest display link drivers from displaylink's site.  The laptop doesn't even detect that the port replicator is plugged in.  The machine is running Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit.  Thank you for your help.

I cant be able to turn up or down my pc brightness. i upgraded it to Windows 10 pro. Will be kind of you to send me a link to the driver to correct this.... here are some key info. you may need.

This fairly new notebook has no camera icon on tool bar. Device manager sees the camera and led lights up. Tried skype shows only green screen also will not take an image from skype.The drivers are up to date and HP Support assistant  doesnt think there is a problem.  Any ideas?

I dont know if anyone can help me, i have just purchased my wife a HP Pavilion in Red and whilst the laptop is brilliant for her needs the touchpad on these is showing every finger mark possible, she constantly wipes the touchpad but within 10 minutes of use you can see marks again. Does anyone know where i can purchased a protector for the mousepad, i can only seem to find them for macbooks :-( also wouldnt mind getting her a keyboard protector as well if anyone can point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated

All of a sudden my touchpad for my hp spectre x 360 stopped working, my mouse works if I use an external mouse but If I try to use a the touchpad it doesn't work and I don't know why? How can I fix my touchpad? please help.
