The brightness control keys (f2 & f3) and also the action center controls are unreliable. They have been so ever since I bought this notebook, which was almost a month ago.
If and when the controls don't work, rebooting seems to do the job and that's what I've been doing for the past month but this isn't exactly a solution. Help please!
P.S. The notebook is running 64-bit Windows 10 that came with the package. Everything on and in this is stock. No upgrades have been done whatsover by me.
I havee a 6530b laptop, when I try to start it, there is no video and thre are two blinking icons above the keyboard. Both look like padlocks. One has an "A' beside it the other has the number "1" beside it. Is this the reason for the lack of video? How can I bypass this to get into the BIOS?
I was able to correct the problem of no video. I disconnected the AC Adapter(I have no battery), removed the CMOS battery and waited several minutes. I then put the CMOS battery back, connected the AC Adapter and it started with video and seems to be working now.
My daughters HP Stream Notebook PC13 that she got at Christmas, so 5 months ago, suddenly has some black streaks coming down from the top right corner of the screen. It looks like a "cracked screen" but she has not used the computer for a couple of weeks and when she last used it, it was fine. Is this some kind of defect with the screen and what is the warranty coverage?
I have had this computer(Hp Envy 15t ae000) about a month and a half now but before it reached a month I notice that my web camera is not working. Its giving me an error message "To get started, connect a camrea" the OS that is on the system is 8.1.
I need to get it sorted out, I am disappointed that I am experiencing such problem this early.

Cannot use dup;icate screens, Mycomputer screen syays blank, whilemy TV Monitor displays just fine. Used the f-4 screen flashes, then stays blank. Using FUNCTION 5 FOR MY COMPUTER, and Display Function 4 for the TV. but when I switch to Daisplay Function 5 it stays blank. So I can only get one screen to work, not both.
I had disabled the HID-compliant touch screen driver some time ago. It was working fine then, now that I have re-enabled it, touch screen is not responding at all.
I have tried reinstalling the driver, perfomed the system updates, callibaration of the touch input from table pc settings, perfomed a touch screen diagnostic test in HP Hardware Diagnostic UEFI, but the problem is not resolved. I have tried all of the steps except step 6 and 7 which asked for system restore and recovery from the following link:-

I want to know if there is any way that I can get my touch screen working without performing system reset as I have some important softwares running, and dont have an external drive to backup my data in case of factory reset?
Note:Also I am unable to install a fresh copy of windows as I have forgotten BIOS password, halt code show in 75104257.
I know my system is working because i can see a small part of my old wallpaper after boot completed, but its ununsable. Also after attached an external monitor i still cant see anything. its black screek without signal.

What connector can I use to connect my laptop's HDMI port to the HDMI ports of two screens, so that I can work on both screens independently, i.e. the one is not a clone of the other?

I have a HP Pavillion N047TX. It has a 2GB Graphics card. The sticker on the laptop shows that it is a Radeon Graphics but I can see it nowhere in my device manager. I tried downloading AMD Auto Detect but it also says that there is no driver detected. Somebody please help regarding how to enable the graphics driver for using it. I even tried re installing windows but in vain. I want it to be my primary driver. The only thing I can see in device manager under Display Adapters is Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Please help

After install Win10 x64 on laptop I can not adjust brightnes using function keys F9, F10 or set auto brightnes F11, it is probably some wrong drivers or missed program - anyone knows what should I install?
All devices in device manager have his own drivers.
I have reinstalled the Windows 7 on my laptop. I have in the Device manager a yellow exclamation mark on Display adapters against Standard VGA Display Driver. Code 10, not working.
However Intel HD Graphic Family driver is OK.
I cant find an update even on HP website and I tried to download all the display drivers for my laptop model from HP but still the Standard VGA Display Driver is not working.
Can somebody please help and advice?
dm4 1201us screen is DIM and needs to be replaced. any suggestiobns on where I can find a screen in expensive? or does this laptop have an inverter?
