Sir, 

         A bunch of problem occurs one after another each time switching on the laptop

 

 

1. When the laptop switched on,after the hp logo comes on the screen it get stuck. But pressing any key can overcome this problem and the computer starts booting.

2. After that the lockscreen menu cames, which is continuously  shiver up and downward direction.  This  is also solved by pressing any keyboard key.

3.After unlocking the pc, if you want to open any program or folder (such as recycle bin, my pc, etc) the first one of the listed folder or program get open. This is also solve by pressing any keyboard key. 

 

Sir i want to know what kind of problem is this. And how to overcome these problem without pressing any keys.

 I am using win 10 which is upgrade from 8.1,is the win10 not supported cocorrectly! Or, it is the keyboad problem. I dont think that this is a virus related problem.

Bought a new HP1591 touch screen.  Working in the dark and can't see a thing on the keyboard.  Made a silly assumption they all light up.  Tried F5, but no light symbol on the screen.  Tried Windows and space bar.  Didn't see anything else listed in the manual.  I can't beleive they would add the technology of a touch screen and not have a backlight on the keyboard.  How ridiculous!  Can anyone confirm that this model has no backlight?

Cleaned my Probook 4540's touchpad....over did it, and the touchpad became non-responsive.

Troubleshot for days, and ended up buying a replacing touchpad, after decided the first one was damaged

 

Installed it after much practice, and all went well...however, this one also doesn't work!

 

I am completley out of options...I'm on my second touchpad, have updated software, yet have two, unresponsive, touchpads. The first, I can understand, but thes second, new one, also being unresponsive, blows my mind.

 

Suggestions? Thoughts?

I recently bought a new laptop and when I try to play a DVD it just won't work and makes some very strange noises.

 

I downloaded VLC player but that doesn't seem to recognise there's a DVD inserted.

All that happens when I pop it in is the little DVD symbol is by the mouse for a few seconds and then it disppears and makes some weird noises, then stops.

 

I'm hoping it's not  a problem with the drive since I only bought this laptop a few days ago! But I really don't have a clue otherwise.

I am upgrade HP Spectre Pro x360 G2 with HP UHD Touchscreen Controller Firmware Update

(File name: sp74836) for HP Spectre x360 - 15t-ap000 CTO (ENERGY STAR).

 

Firmware upgrade is FAILURE!  Touch screen is not work.

 

1. How to restore firmware?

I purchased my HP ENVY 15t-k000 CTO Notebook PC Graphics Driver keeps crashing after Windows 10 upgrade.  The driver that HP says I should update to will not upload and gives me this error message.  I guess the laptop has a special driver that was put in the Costco laptops.  My current driver is Intel HD Graphics 4600.  It constantly crashes.  HELP!!!

Hello everyone..

 

I need help toward a problem than I'm currently experiencing right now..

 

My laptop model is HP Pavilion g4-2208tx with Dual Graphic (AMD Radeon 7600M + Intel HD Graphic 4000).

My OS is Windows 10 (64 bit) with 8GB of RAM.

 

So I've installed this Windows 10 (64 bit) to replace my old Windows 8 OS from the factory.

Everything ran well till the time when I was trying to play some game that I've been playing smoothly on this laptop before (PES 2013 and PES 2016).

 

I also set the switchable setting from AMD Catalyst Control Center to "High Performance", but it can only be played for like 2 minutes then my laptop started to overheat (it looks like working very hard) then the player movement on the game become slow and I need to close the game. I've tried to re-install the game but nothing happen.

 

Funny thing is the game ran better on my other laptop with VGA only Intel HD Graphic 3000.

 

My friend told me that it could be a problem with the Driver. I've tried to find my laptop driver from HP Official Website but I've found nothing.

Is there anyone have solution for this?

Trying to connect HP 255 G3 to external LG screen via HDMI cord. Fn+F4 doesn't respond at all. Did all the suggested steps : starting with turn on TV first..... to trying with a different monitor (Samsung Smart TV). None of the screens was identified by the laptop. In screen settings only one monitor option available - standard PnP monitor. 

What do I need to do to connect the laptop to LG screen?

My screen is broken and unusable. My laptop is password protected so I cannot even see to click on user and log onto it. I have connected it to an external monitor but it is not projecting to it. How can I get it to project to the external monitor if I cannot see anything on the laptop screen?

Hi everyone, recently I'm having this issue with my touchscreen, it happens that it gets stuck in the left corner of the screen without any touch, and the pointer dissapears, when I move it, it kind of twinkle.

 

That is my issue, and I dont know how to solve it.

No matter if I close the laptop down and log back on, the white box is always there, it has no X on it to exit the box.  This inhibits me from  using the laptop properly as I cant click on anything tha appears under the box, ie 'submit' for example.

 

Does anyone know how to get rid of the box?  I would be very grateful for some help and advice.  Thanks all.

Hi

 

I recently bought my computer, I've noticed a yellowish spot on the screen when something dark is displayed. Now it started to get bigger.

I think that it's something that puts  pressure on the screen or something. Probably something behind the screen. The spots also change in size and intensity when I move the screen to different positions.

 

I have duplicated the screen to my TV and second monitor, and the spots does not show on them.

 

I think that this is something that the warranty should cover? Or maybe this is something that can be fixed in a local shop?

Hello, I have a 2  year old HP Envy 15 model 15t-j100.  I've had no problems with it until recently. Over the past week my screen will flicker and get fuzzy. It's most dramatic on the left side . Does this every day now.   The issue will go away if I put a little bit of pressure onto the bezel of the screen, so I know it's the screen (HW) and not a software issue. 

What can I do. I am out of warranty.

I recently purchased HP Probook 450 Go and after installing all the listed drivers on hp website, function keys for brightness[fn+f9 and fn+f10] are not working, rest every driver and button is working.

 

The Laptop was shipped with Windows 8.1 and I got it updated to Windows 10, 12 hours ago.

But neither in Windows 8.1 not Windows 10 the buttons worked.

 

I searched lots of HP forum but no solution worked.....

 

Please Help!!!

Hi all,

 

I have a 1st gen EliteBook 8730w from 2008. It is the best machine I have ever owned. It’s still going strong after 8 years. However, have started doing work that would greatly benefit from a CUDA enabled GPU. Neither the FX2700M nor the FX3700M which came with the original 8730w’s, are CUDA enabled.

So before I finally throw in the towel and spend a whole bunch of money on a new machine, I’m keen to know if there are any CUDA enabled GPU’s, that would work in an 8730w. Maybe I can squeeze a few more years out of the 8730w.

While the Quadro FX2700M and FX3700M are not CUDA enabled, I’ve noticed there are a whole bunch of more recent NVIDIA Quadro mobile GPU’s that are CUDA enabled. For the sake of reference, the list of CUDA enabled Quadro mobile GPU’s may be found here.

My Questions:

 

1. Are the Quadro FX2700M and Quadro FX3700M, the only GPU’s that can be installed in an 8730w ?
2. Which, if any, of the more recent CUDA enabled Quadro mobile GPU’s, ‘can’ be successfully installed in an 8730w ?
3. Are there perhaps any other CUDA enabled GPU’s, aside from the Quadro range, that might work in an 8730w ?

For the sake of reference, my 8730w’s current spec is as follows.

 

CPU:     Intel Core Duo, P8600.

RAM:     8.00 GB
GPU:     NVIDIA Quadro FX 2700M
Display: 17” 1920x1200

OS:      64-bit Windows 10.

My laptop won't automatically rotate when I rotate it. The rotation lock button in the action centre is greyed out so I cannot select it. This is the same in the display settings, I am unable to unlock the rotation lock. I have searched for answers on this and people have advised to select the 'allow auto-rotation' however I cannot find this setting in my control panel. Switching to tablet mode does nothing either.

 

The laptop also does not sense the screen has been rotated around and so the keyboard/mousepad are still active even when the laptop has been moved to a tablet.

 

I am within warranty so will just replace laptop if I can, but want a quick solution for now!

My husband and I just purchased the Envy 360 and the screens wont rotate to tablet or tent mode have looked at the settings and the screen rotation is greyed out. What can we do to get them to work.
