Hi,

 

My new HP laptop lags like crazy when streaming video online (from multiple streaming services including Netflix, Sky and Lightbox), especially audio stuttering. I doubt it is a problem with bandwith because it lags both at my flat and my boyfriend's, plus my old computer (a Sony Vaio) is still streaming fine.

 

In an effort to fix, I have adjusted power settings to high performance and still nothing. Same issues occur in both Chrome and Firefox, but I nevertheless checked that Silverlight is up-to-date (it is). 

 

Any suggestions would help greatly as I am so frustrated that I am considering just throwing the computer out in the garbage because streaming is my primary use for my laptop. Please help!

Under warranty HP fixed an issue with my Centrino N2230 wireless adapter and my PCs inability to stay connected to the internet. I just got it back and had to reload to Windows 10 because HP had to wipe my drive, or installed a new one. I can't tell. At any rate, I can no longer:

 

1) Use an HDMI cable, connect to my LG 55" smart tv to capture a PC video on my tv. Prior to sending this PC to HP this always worked no matter the TV.

 

2) I am unable to dim my screen display using the dim key on the keyboard.

 

Any ideas?

Dear HP forum users,

 

Ever since I upgraded to windows 10, my touchscreen has stopped working correctly, I have done all the updates of drivers and so on and it has still not fixed the issue. I have done troubleshooting and the only message I get is "no pen or touch input for this display" I have even reformated my pc . that did not help. I have tried many online advice forms advice and I have now come to a dead end.

 

Could somebody please be so kind and help me fix my issue.

Hi everyone,

 

I purchased HP Notebook - 14-ac001tu last week, and just installed win7 ultimate 32bit. I have installed some drivers necessary. But when I tried to install the graphic driver, it keep saying "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".

 

Since I think there's no problem with the graphic, I left it alone. I just realized that I cannot change the brightness from brightness keys (f2 and f3). The symbol still displayed, but the value wont change. Is it possible because I didnt install the graphic driver? I tried to install all of graphic display and monitor here, but still got same messages that my computer doesnt meet minimum req. I installed win x86 since this laptop only has 2GB ddr.

 

Any help would be appreciated, and sorry for the broken english

MY DEDICATED GPU IS NOT DETECTED  AND INTEGRATED IS SHOWING LESS MEMORY(1143 MB BUT ACTUALLY IT IS ABOUT 1900 MB ).WHAT DO I NEED TO DO

Hi There,

 

I have just bought a new Spectre x2 which has Windows 10 installed. But the touchpad isnt working at all, when I go to settings, devises, Mouse and Touchpad there is no option for the touchpad.

 

I have installed the Synaptics touchpad driver from online but it hasnt helped

 

Any help would be great

Hi, 

 

I have an HP Elitebook 8560W, with windows 7 Pro installed, 8 Gigs of ram and NVidia Quadro 2000M graphics. I am trying to connect to an external monitor (DELL ES24H) via HDMi using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. but the laptop isn't detecting the monitor and vice versa. 

 

i installed the latest Nvidia driver and tried through Nvidia control panel put it's not seeing the monitor. is there a solution or should i go with the VGA cable instead,  and if i choose the VGA will it support full HD on my external monitor.

The rotate screen function isn't working when I try to use it vertically. The display won't rotate automatically, despite the function being unlocked in the charms menu.

 

I can rotate it using hotkeys, but if I then turn the screen vertically then the display switches itself back to horizontal and locks the function. Is there any way to fix this?

 Recently i  have faced a problem that a black thin line in my laptop screen and seems it is geting longer.how can i get rid of this black line problem.what should i do??what is the solution of this problem??pls help me.

I have a Pavilion 15 Notebook;  Product Nomber K7R22EA  #ABU

 

 

When I click the camera icon, I get the following message.  We cant find your camera.  Error 0xA00F4244  (0x80070005)

 

After downloading and installing Cyberlink Photo Director 5.0.5.6618B revD dated May-07-2016, the camera worked perfectly.

However after logging off and then logging on several hours later, I was back to the original problem, ie we cant find your camera.

My daughter screen looks like an ink blotter all white and black. The glass part doesnt seem broken but the inside is. Is it possible to replace this and what would the part number be I really do not want to buy another 2 in 1 computer for her.  Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I installed the Windows 10 driver installation problems I encountered, and other sites including NVIDIA site, but I try my problem is not resolved, the driver was not installed on the site, please help me

today i open my pc n checking out that my mouse pointer is blinking like oding all time.this is vey irritating.i cant stop this blinking.so i request u to send me a sollution .......

When I am watching videos or playing a video game, and I adjust the tablet part the computer for a better view, sometimes the screen glitches/jitters and an awful noise comes from the audio... This issue had also happend when I had windows 8 installed. It hasn't done it for a few months until a few weeks ago. I now have windows 10, and everything is up to date. BUT today when I was filling out something online in tablet mode (this time not connected to the key board half) it did it again! That's the first time ever while as a tablet! No video or game was open on the computer, just Chome. I just had the awful noise with the display glitch/jitter. I have had enough and was hoping someone could help? To me it seems like something wrong with the computer, not any of the programs. I still have a ton of free storage space so it's not like it's being over loaded or anything. Thank you for reading this and please help! :,(

The HP support site won't recognize my serial# 5CD5------ 

Nor my model# J2L41UT

Nor the model Chromebook 14

 

I have been in an infinite loop on the HP support site for about 30 minutes and rejected from all avenues of phone support so my question is simply IS THIS PRODUCT SUPPORTED !?!

I UPDATED MY DISPLAY DRIVER FROM MICROSOFT BASIC DISPLAY ADATOR TO HD DRIVER.AFTER THAT IT INSALLED  AND WHEN I USE THE SYSTEM WHEN THERE IS POWER THE DISPLAY IS ON BUT ONCE THE POWER GOES OFF THE DISPLAY TURNS BLACK.PLS TELL ME WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT

I will connect the notebook to HD TV (1920x1080) how should be good the resolution ? And what way should be better, with cable HDMI or wireless ? anyone has just did it?
