The more I used this laptop, the more I regret the purchase. I've had to go back to using it a bit more and that has only served to renew my frustration.

I go to the HP Software and Drivers search page, put in my laptop model, 15-u111dx, it refers me to a page titled "

It defaulted to my correct (and still factory installed) operating system of Windows 8.1.
I expand the "Drivers-Graphics" group and it displays a download option titled "
Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver
10.18.10.3574 146.3 MB Sep 11, 2015
"Download 64-bit" is highlighted and I select that as my Windows 8.1 OS is 64-bit. It downloads a file named "sp66267.exe."
When it completes downloading, I execute it.
Its dialogue says this,
