Weird video/audio playback issue

First of all I'm not sure If this is the right place to post this so I'm sorry.

I purchased my laptop new about 4 months ago and the last few days I have been having this issue that is hard to explain but here goes.

Every time I play a video from YouTube hulu or even the video player on Windows, the videos audio becoems extremely disoriented and jumbled while the video plays fine. It does it bad when it starts and then gets better but then every 5-10 seconds it will do it again and again. Just mixes the auido like its lagging super bad but it isn't. My internet has not changed and the video isn't having trouble loading. I also tried lower qualities and it doesn't help.

It makes it almost Immpossible to watch anything. I tried playing music from iTunes and that plays fine so it seems like a video or graphics issues. I'm not sure.

I noticed today too it also does it rarely without videos where the mouse just becomes unresponsive for a bit and jumps around again like its lagging.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

PS. I have been trying to download a BIOS update HP says I have bit it fails or downloads for hours and hours without success I don't know if that's related.

Since i upgraded to windows 10 the touch screen has not worked. Model # m7-j120dx

Is there a update that will fix this? I have seen alot of problems with the touch screen on the Hp computers on this blog.

Often, regularly, when I use the touchpad to click a command button, e.g. to close an app, go to a new website, anything really, on the internet (any browser), email, games etc., the screen often resizes instead of doing the action. Sometimes, I am toggling for a few times between screen sizes before the screen settles and I can continue with the action. This has only happened since I upgraded from W7 to W10. It also doesn't happen using a mouse. I have tried checking for Windows updates, and have deleted and reloaded the monitor driver. I wonder whether the touchpad driver is corrupted but wouldn't know how to delete and reload this without losing control of what I was doing (i.e. without a pointing device driver).

Has anyone any thoughts? I am not VERY technically-minded.

When I first start my computer up, sometimes after the HP logo appears, my screen turns black and will stay that way forever until I press the power button, which makes the screen flash white real quick then goes back to black.

 

I have to turn it off and turn it back on to fix this. Sometimes when I restart after this though, the computer turns off right after I turn it on. I then have to restart again for my computer to turn on...

 

Can I fix this or is my computers display just broken...?

my zoom feature seems to zoom in and out all by itself.  when i'm online or offline.  varies from 50% to 150% without clicking it.  How do I fix this problem.  I just bought this and the zoom seems to be the only problem I'm having.

Hey guys,

 

My DV6z has an AMD Radeon HD 7690 besides the video card on board, which is not working properly with Windows 10 because AMD never released a driver for it, besides Windows 10 is recognizing it a being an AMD Radeon HD 6000 series, not a 7000 series, so i want to replace this card with another, can I do that?

I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a 64 bi-g62 b23sl notebook.
I have problems with the video card because the driver that installs windows are not optimal.

I am having issues with my screen brightness after letting it go for a few minutes. When I boot up, the screen will be bright and I can see things clearly. However, if I am inactive on my notebook for a few minutes but let it on (for example, when I am allowing it to run a virus scan), the screen goes really dark and does not get bright again. I will let it run for a few minutes, and then come back to it...and the screen remains so dark that I cannot read anything on it at all (or make out the icons) when I return to it and attempt to be active on it. I have a touchscreen model, but it does not respond by becoming brighter again when I touch the screen. Does anyone know how to solve this issue, and can you tell me how to do it? I would appreciate the assistance.

I have bought a new HP laptop around 6-7 months ago. I have had no problems with it but for the past month it has been freezing and the screen  changes different colors in different locations and slowly fades into white. I touch the screen (its touch screen by the way) and it just returns to normal.

Hi everyone,

 

My company is using HP Elitebook 840 G1.

I want to connect the HP 2013 Ultraslim Docking station with my HP Elitebook 840 G1 to have 2 external monitor.

 

However, using the VGA port and Displayport from the docking station, I can only managed to get the VGA port to work. I tried using display port converter to DVI, does not work too.

 

When I am using the laptop's VGA port and Display port, both screen are able to display with no issue.

 

Is there any solution for me to get both the screen to work when I am using the docking station? Because if by connecting to the laptop itself, whenever I have a meeting I will need to disconnect all the cables and replug when I am back on my desk. This is redundant. Lastly, if i use a VGA splitter on the docking station, will it work?

I wasn't sure what happened it's not a major issue for me but just a minor annoyance. But, my driver for my touchpad is missing, and because of this, it (touchpad) no longer works. I've tried numerous times to try and redownload and reinstall the synaptics driver for it, but to no avail. If there are others having this same issue and have found a way to resolve it please let me know!

See that there a few old messages regarding the "Display Driver Stopped Working" problem.

Sometimes just the message pops up other times it locks up the system.

 

I let HP work on this remotly but no fix.

Had it in HP shop for a month where they changed out the motherboard. Still no fix.

 

Has anyone who has had this problem been able to resolve the issue.

I use the laptop for editing digital photos, using Photoshop. For color accuracy, on a monthly basis I need to calibrate the brightness and the colors of the monitor using a Spyder calibrating device. One of the steps needed before the start of the calibration is to reset the monitor to its original factory settings. How do I do that?

Hi,

 

I am planning to purchase HP Spectre x360 - 13-4165nr from HP site.

I wanted to confirm that this model comes with active pen support because it isn't mentioned under specs.

I asked the sales rep using HP's online chat option and she suggested that none of the Spectre x360 currently support active pen but only capacitive stylus. I find that hard to believe given how widely pen support is advertised on Spectre x360 page. When I pointed that out she said that the web page has wrong information. 

 

Can anyone confirm whether or not the listed model has active pen support?

If not, does any other Spectre model with i5, i7 processor have active pen support?

Videos are not smoothly. Sometimes the 3 sec audio blurrs and run for a long time and sometime video escapes and it's hard to close the program.
While operating the system blurr lines come to the screen.

Hi,

 

I have a pavilion dv7-6150ev with a RADEON 6770M Graphics Card. I'm tryin to use software that requires OpenGL version of 3.1 and up. 

 

My card has the Open GL version 3.0.0 - Build 8.15.10.2342.

 

What should I do to upgrade to a version of at least 3.1 (provided that my RADEON can support Open GL 3.1)? At this point I sould mention that I' ve already tried to upgrade, but somehow I managed to mess with my card before I quit, so if you please provide me with exact instructions of all the necessary steps...
