envy loose screen
Hi, i brought this laptop in november 2014. The left hand hinge has come loose and as a result the screen will white out. the screen itself doesn't seem to be damaged as when the screen is rotated anticlockwise then the problem is sovled. any help would be appricatied.

Hp Pm6 black screen after2 minutes
ello everybody. My name is bogdan and i've a hp product, a m6 pavilion 10 40 eo with the next problem:
Start ...everything ok but when enter in windows after 2-3-5 or 30 minutes the screen appears black and all of the laptop functions are 0.
A example is the next: i use windows 7 64 bit. when i want to make the sistem rating from right click on my computer-> properties when the progress bar is at Windows media ecoder everything is black.
i want to know where can be the problem and i want to know what memory Ram supports. The actual configuration is the next :

disable touch pad HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC
I never use the"Control Zone" touch pad on my laptop because I use a wireless mouse. Before I upgraded to Windows 10, I was able to disable the touch pad permanently. Since the upgrade, I have to go to the contro panel and disable it after each restart. Is there a way to keep the touch pad setting as disabled until I decide to change it myself?

Black border around laptop screen - Has it always been there?
Okay I recently have been hooking my laptop (HP 15r Touchsmart) up to my TV via HDMI cable to watch certain movies I copied to my hard drive that I didn't watch that much but wanted to get rid of the DVD. Anyway I was watching some movies an after doing so I now notice a black border on the LCD screen. I swear it has never been there. I thought the screen image went full to edges. But I can not for the life of me find a setting that changes it. I went online and looked at other's pictures of their 15r and the screen images covers the whole screen. Mine has a black border.
Here is a picture I found online of another 15r and notice that the images scales the whole screen. No border. But I do notice that it has windows 8 on it yet and I upgraded mine to windows 10.
Does anyone else have this on theirs too? Am I just crazy and never noticed the black border till now? I know that there have been windows updates in the last month or so, but don't remember when and I just noticed this now.
Any help would be appreciated! Feel like I'm loosing my mind

Windows 10 notebook HP pavilions black screen
Hi,
I see many people are ending up with this issue..
I loaded the Win 10 to a Win 7,, and immediatley had boot issues.. those I solved.. in the meantime though doing a clean up may have removed some registry but reinstalled AMD.. & BIOS.. so I am up & trunning only having to use a tv for a monitor the notebook screen is black no curser no mouse total black.
The display cant even be found as the only one is the tv that shows up. it doesn't detect the notebook display & I have tried everything but a reinstall of Win 7.. that would kill it for sure & I'd be back at square 1 wth no HP. The video driver must work or I wouldnt have a screen.. & the hard drive seems fine. I blame Win 10.. but I am stuck with it.. anyother pro's have a solution? & Thanks.

NVIDIA Driver problem for windows 7
Dear Concern,
After fresh installation of windows 7 professional (Genuine OS) in my laptop, I cant install driver for NVIDIA Graphics card. I have tried from HP website & also through HP support assistant. Not any driver is working. pls suggest me to solve the driver problem, Anyway another Unknow driver error showing as shown in the picture

Is this problem related with power supply(battery recharging)?
Blue screen occur frequently when I do the high battery consumption works like gaming with charging the battery

Strangely, when I play the game without plug in(charging the battery). There is rarely problem and Less heat
The important point is Heat.
When I play the game with charging, I can feel much more heat rapidly.
I did all the thing (downgrade, dust clean, driver upgrade ect. )
And I finally found the problem is related with battery charging.

three week old HP SPECTREX360 screen went black 7 hours ago while plugged in, Key light still on
I was using my three week old HP SPECTREX360 last night when the screen went black while it was plugged in and the key board lights and power light (on the side) are still on! I have tried to turn it off, reboot it and hold the power and 4 arrow kesy down together but it will not turn off or reboot. How can I fix this problem?

Touch Screen Not working
My touch screen is not working anymore, it started when I Keep changing my OS to win 7, win 10, and then back to windows 8.1, my default OS is windows 8.1. I already use Recovery disk, but still my system says "No pen or touch available for this display, and there is no "Mobile PC" in my Control Panel. I look my "Device Manager" there is no HID-compliant touch screen in it, please help..

Trackpad Mouse Haunted or Psychosis
Hello.
I'm at a loss as to what to do.
My HP which I brought in London 7 months ago was working perfectly until a few days ago. Suddenly my trackpad mouse is possessed by a demon with the capability of making the laptop owner psychotic.
Every uninstall/ reinstall of the synaptics driver has resulted in the trackpad still pointing the cursor anywhere but where my finger is pointing to. Swiping Left might translate as delete my entire document, save document and surf porn sites, left click may do other things which encourage me to want to jump out of my third floor window.
I decided enough was enough and performed a full recovery.
Problem is not solved which must mean my trackpad hardware is complete broken.
Now, given I've moved to Florence, Italy, where Italian translation of "where is the nearest HP support center" seems to translate as "Eat more pasta", what do I do?
How do I get my laptop to a HP service center where I won't be without my only form of entertainment and communication for more than 10 minutes?

A while ago my laptop's backlight went out and when I checked the cable for the monitor I noticed that the cable has some wires that are broken (The laptop's warrenty was gone before I checked the cables) and I was wondering how much it would be to get the cable replaced so that the monitor can be used again. HP Envy X360 15-u010dx
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone may know, I have the HP Envy X360 15-u010dx model. My top panel LCD was destroyed. I only need the top section for this laptop. The keyboard section is perfect. I could not find the exact display panel fully assembled for my model but I did find one fully assembled for the 15-u011dx model. Will this 15-u011dx display model work with my 15-u010dx?

Synaptics touchpad is not working (again)
I have reinstalled the Synaptics driver multiple times, and this time all the gesture options have disappeared:
also, when I disable the touchpad, the light that normally lights up does not light up, and disabling the touchpad also minimizes all windows. the last time I installed this driver (it was the exact same one), I did not have this problem. so what happened?

HP Pavillion Sleekbook dim screen after sleep, unplug, goes back to bright
My HP Pavillion TS Sleekbook 15 is always plugged in. Periodically, when I put it in the sleep mode, then wake it up, the screen is dim. The only way to brighten it up, is to unplug it. When I plug it back in, the screen remains bright. I am worried that it may stay dim, at some point. Is this a problem, or can I just unplug it each time?

Built in webcam not working and notebook not supported by HP anymore.
I bought my laptop from a pawn shop. It is a Compaq Presario CQ62-209WM Notebook PC. It has a 64-bit operating system and is from the year 2010. The laptop works fantastic. My only problem is, the webcam does not work. I downloaded Windows 10 and it didn't work before or afterwards. I used to have Youcam Wireless downloaded and that didn't even work. My Windows Camera app says "Something went wrong, make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app." I don't see Imaging devices in the device manager either. I don't even see webcam anywhere in device manager. I am 227% positive my laptop has a built in webcam. Please help me because I don't know anything about laptops. Thank you.
P.S. HP doesn't support my laptop anymore.
