My display is black on 1/3 of the screen. It gradually getting blacker when it comes close to the left side of the screen. Can look as if the Backlight does not work on the left side of the display. Can that be the case, and can it be changed.

Envy x360 Screen goes to static after computer sleeps
I am having a issue with my screen anytime my computer goes into sleep mode. When it wakes back up, the screen just shows a static noise with a magnified box where my mouse pointer should be. There is nothing else on the screen, and so far, the only way I have managed to get around this is by restarting my computer.
Of course, if there are any open programs, this results in lost data.
I tried turning sleep mode off under settings, but same static noise appears if I shut my computer and reopen it.
Anyone else having this issue?
Maybe it has to do with a flawed graphics card?

I have a pavilion g6-2330ee with 15.6 inch Display operating at 1366x768 resolution.
I am planning to upgrade to 15.6 inch with 1920x1080 with the below display panel model:
my question is:
I have to change the display cable to dual stream cable to have the display working just find as I have read, what would be the best choice for the cable (Model No) to have it working fine with 1920X1080 ?

Graphics Driver Problem
hey, whenever i open Intel HD Graphics Control panel -Options & Support, it crashes to blue screen and shows the error Kernel_Security_Check_failure..and restarts immediately..it was showing before updating driver and again after updating the driver from HP drivers download for recommended product..whats the problem??even after updating the driver?
My product is HP Pavilion 15-ab522tx

video_scheduler_internal_error on windows 10 - intel hd 520
Hi,
I just bought spectre x360 running on windows 10 - intel hd 520 on 18 Jan 16.
I already having video scheduler internal error since day 1
It happend during using windows edge causing my laptop going "blue screen" scanning the issues and showing that the issue is video schedule internal error then restart.
Help to advise what is this issue and how to fix it.

Hot keys for screen brightness up and down not working
Hi,
No matter what I've tried so far, doesn't seem to work.
HP Support Assistant doesn't find anything.
HP SoftPaq Download Manager finds a newer version of Hot key software but installing it doesn't change anything.
Latest BIOS is installed.
All other soft keys work but not those for brightness (Fn + F9 & F10).
Really frustrating when running on battery because the monitor automatically dims down in brightness and there is no way to adjust it in the OS, as far as I can see.

HP Spectre x2 A005TU 12" Touchpad Not Working
I have just purchased a hp spectre x2 12" A005TU and the keyboard connects and works perfectly but the touchpad is unresponsive. when i go in to settings to check if the touchpad is on, there is no touchpad options under the heading of mouse and touchpads.
i have run updates and nothing seems to fix the problem.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Laptop turns on but doing show anything on screen
I have a Hp 2000 and i was doing the update and all of a sudden the screen went black and it don't show anything on the screen at all even when i turn in on, the mother board is working fine cuz the fans and what not turn on it the screen don't show anything. and i also have a problem when i plug in my iphone on the the laptop it don't wanna connect at all

Display has lined pattern and laptop unresponsive after resume from Sleep
When my laptop resumes from Sleep, the display shows an odd lined, kind of herringbone pattern. Usually there is also a square (I think that may be where the mouse cursor is). The laptop is unresponsive. Sometimes I can get it to start up ok if I press the power button off and on again; sometimes I have to reboot.
I contacted HP support and they've installed the latest Intel HD Graphics Driver, but this has had no effect.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, have you found a resolution?

Blank Screen
My HP Envy laptop screen periodically goes blank even while doing work on the computer. I have it connected to a larger Pavillion 27xw monitor via HDMI cable. The screen would go blank even while im still actively using the computer and I am unable to turn it back on unless I hold down the power button to shut off the computer then turn it back on. Can someone please advise as to what the problem might be. It has happened several times now and this is a new laptop which I just purchased in December

Lines on a display
Hello.
I got my new HP pavilion ak001nu just 2 weeks ago. But yesterday It started getting strange vertical lines on the matrix. They are gone when I close the lid and open it again or when I restard, but this is the second time for one day. I am afraid that it will become a pattern. Can I get some advice, please!

connect my HP Pavilion 15T to an existing external monitor which is not touch capable.
My old HP laptop is currently hooked up to a color Samsung monitor using a VGA cable. My new Pavilion 15T does not have a VGA port with the pins. I assume I must purchase a VGA to HDMI cable but am unsure of the specifications for that cable. The ones I see online don't have the same pin layout as my Samsung monitor..... Appreciate your help.

Touch Pad Off on Computer Restart
How do I disable the Touchpad and KEEP IT DISABLED? Every time I start this computer I have to go throught the steps to disable the miserable touchpad. How can I disable it and keep it disabled thru restarts and until (if ever) I want to enable it. Really irritating turning the thing off every time. THANKS!!

Losing photo quality on laptop

How can I make my Radeon 8610g setup start automatically?
When I start up the laptop I have to open the Amd Radeon icon on the taskbar in order to get the correct color settings. I would like it to just start up without having to do that. Any thoughts out there??

Matching Monitor to graphic processors
My notebook is HP Pavilion dv6-7025tx Entertainment Notebook PC, CPU is Intel Core i7-3610QM.
Graphics card (integrated) is Intel Ivy Bridge-MB GT2 - Integrated Graphics with Graphics chipset Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Second graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M [HP] with Graphics chipset NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.
The notebook has 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports, 1 HDMI port and no DisplayPort.
I don't use the notebook for games. I use it as a desktop replacement for office apps, graphics and video processing.
I want to buy an external monitor in order to see more open windows on one screen.
People say intel HD Graphics 4000 cannot achieve more than 1920x1080 on a hi res monitor.
NVIDIA says GeForce GT 650M max resolution is 3840 x 2160.
Questions:
1. What is the maximum resolution of the external monitor I should buy to use the full capacity of the hardware?
2. How can I use NVIDIA card and override the integrated graphics card?
3. What kind of a cable I should buy to connect the HDMI port to the monitor?

Unable to make HP 22cwa display connect to HDMI
I have an HP2511 attached to a Toshiba Satellite S855-S5378 via HDMI. It works fine. I recently purchased the above 21-inch HP 22cwa and want to attach it to the same laptop via an HDMI splitter.
I tried therefore to test it with the HDMI port first as the SOLE diplay for the system.
The effort failed. The 21-inch is not recognized and I get the "Check Video Cable" message on a dark screen.
Then I connected the 22cwa to the VGA port. It is recognized it and works OK.
One footnote here is that before I tried to connect the new display for the FIRST time, Win10 under Display Settings correctly recognized the laptop display and the HP 2511 as 2 separate monitors identified as 1 and 2.
AFTER the first attempt with the 22cwa, the Display Settings give variously the following identification: 1/2, 1, and 3 and combination thereof, with an "unknown display" THIRD display appearing from time to time.
This identification sequence appears under ANY combination of displays i.e. with the original configuation (laptop and HP 2511) and all other combinations I tried.
In short, Win10 appears to have gone drunk concerning the displays.
My graphics adapter is the Intel 4000. It does not offer output for two external displays at the same time.
Bottom line: (1) why is the new display 22cwa not recognized via HDMI? (2) How did this 1/3, 2/3 etc identification has come up? (3) is there ANY workaround to coax Win 10 to recognize the new monitor?
The object is, as I said before, to have the two external HP displays hooked up to an HDMI splitter and use them as EXTENDED desktop (with the laptop display 'cancelled' and dark).
