Issues dowloading BIOS Update for HP Pavilion 17z-e100 CTO Insyde F35 A

The reason why i went to HP's support website is because i had choppy playback on my GoPro Hero 4. I also have the green screen and blurry images while playing my GoPro videos. I have already updated all video and sound drivers. The images improved dramatically but i still have some blurry imaging issues and choppy playback (much less though)

I followed HP's instructions on how to donwload the new version of the BIOS, which is sp69881.exe from August 2015 and i tried to install it several times unsuccesfully. I currenty have the BIOS Insyde F35 from 11/11/2014. Even though i restart my computer and disable my antivirus, it is still showing that my computer has the oldest version in the msinfo32.exe

PD.- For some reason my computer is giving a message "partition not allowed".

Please help as i am tired of not being able to play and edit my GoPro videos.

Thanks

Win 10 - Backlight problem on first boot

Hi all,

I have an issue with the backlight in my HP 250 G3 after upgrading to Windows 10.

On the first boot the screen remains black (there is an image, but the backlight isnt turned on).

After I reboot my laptop the backlight works perfectly.

This happens when Windows 10 starts loading. The HP logo always shows when I turn on the laptop.

When I unplug the AC cord, and boot the system using the battery, the backlight works on the first boot. When I plug in the cord the backlight turns off. After rebooting the laptop it always works again. It's only at the first boot when this problem occurs.

I have tested an Ubuntu live dvd, and the problem does not happen.

Does somebody know what is wrong?

I have updated the Intel HD graphics driver but it does not fix the problem.

Here is some info what might help.

OS:  Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version:  10.0.10240 Build 10240

Unable to install AMD/Intel Switchable Graphics Driver

$

I recently bought a HP 15-110TX.

Installed Windows 7 64 Professional

Now I tried installing AMD/Intel switchable driver from HP support web site but it is not working.

Tried installing sp72646 and sp72066 as well, with no results.

The driver for intel HD graphics is not recognized and ATI Radeon is shown as not working with code 43.

In Device manager it still shows as Standard VGA Graphics adapter.

Tried re-installing windows, and upgrading the BIOS as well.

Curent BIOS version: Insyde F.11.

Apart from this, tried installing Generic as well as HP's intel HD Graphics Driver and getting message as "This system does not meet minimum requirements".

Tried AMD's catalyst driver as well with no luck.

Please help. Thanks in Advance.

Windows 10 AMD Graphic - ingame side black bars

$

Hello! I've recently upgraded my windows 0S from 8.1 to 10. Everything seems fine for now except side black bars in older games with lower resolution like NFS Most wanted or lord of the rings 2 etc...

I have also latest graphic card driver and amd catalyst control center 64bit version for windows 10 for my laptop.

On windows 8.1 I had that problem as well but then I solved it really easy in catalyst control center -> maintain aspect ratio or scale to full size screen (something like that) with combination of resolution change. Now, that does not work... Anybody had similar problem / solution for mine? Smiley Happy

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

the problem is connecting the HD HP monitor ZR2740w that has resolution of 2560 x 1440 to new HP Envy 15 - got the HDMI cable that works, however the cable does not support high resolution to allow the full use of the monitors capabilities... used all the correct connections... nothing seems to help.... How can this be resolved?

Thanks

directx 11 crashing in the middle of several games

$

So I've been trying to play several games to include GTA V, Civilization: Beyond Earth and a couple of others. All of these games were playing just fine on my Omen ever since I installed them the first time several months back.  Suddenly this last week, they're crashing minutes after the game has been started (rarely an error message actually pops up). After I ctrl alt delete to close out of the crashed game (GTA V in this case), I try getting into another game or restart the same one and I get some error message saying that directx 9 can't be detected.

Now I've gone into my directx diagnostics and everything is fine and dandy, I have directx 11 like I should with windows 8.1. I posted the report below with anything that might be pertinent.

The only thing that I can think of that might have messed up anything was that in the last couple of weeks, there was a BIOS update. That's the only thing I can think of that may be a culprit but I have no idea how I would rollback a bios update.
