1st when started

It had blank screen 

Power and network light was unsteady, kept blinking 7 seconds apart after blinking for 4 times it steadies.

Stays on for hours.

 

next when i started it -

Power was fine and the screen was normal, display fine.

After HP logo i got two options to start normally or to repair.

After selecting repair - the repair was completed and it was not successful and asked whether i would like to send request to fix it - Yes.

Then it shut down.

 

On the third try -

It worked fine and then the display was weird and it lagged until it shut down.

i have searched around, but found nothing to my specific issue**

 

Last night I was going to restore my laptop to factory settings. I started the process, and a few steps in my laptop overheated and died. I waited for it to cool, booted it up and now a blank white screen displays. I took the battery out, and lef thte laptop off over night to see if that would fix it, but the same thing happens. I tried plugging my hdmi monitor into my laptop on bootup and after bootup and no signal is detected. I fear I may have screwed up the motherboard here, But I don't know how a windows format could do that, Not even the bios is shown which leads me to beleive the bios is corrupted, but again, I'm not sure how a windows format could do that. 

 

Any suggestions?

 

Edit: After tapping f10 on startup, it beeps each time, meaning I think I can get into the bios just not see it. The screen also occiansionaly flashes black then back to white

I have a Pavillion 15-p212ne and want to use an extra monitor.
When connecting my laptop and the monitor by HDMI, the pc doesn't recognise an extra monitor. How to solve this?

HELLO SIR/MAM,

I BROUGHT THIS LAPTOP (HP 15 ac-101TU) ON 19/10/2015.

I CANNOT FIND A SLOT TO CONNECT MY PROJECTOR TO IT, ALTHOUGH  ITS GIVEN IN THE USER GUIDE WHICH CAME ALONG WITH THIS LAPTOP (IN IMAGES).

HOW MAY I GOING TO CONNECT THIS TO PROJECTOR , AS THE MAIN PURPOSE I BROUGHT THIS LAPTOP WAS FOR THE PRESENTATIONS.

F2 and F3 keys (brightness control) not working in HP n007AX
After Upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1

 

I have already installed all the latest Driver supported for Win 10 64bit from HP,

Still there is no working for F2 and F3 keys .

when i connect my hdmi cable to the computer nothing happens, and it doesn't show the things on the tv.

i tried the cable on other computer and it works..

    Hello all:

 

    After pc Windows starting/booting up. in the right bottom coner, there is a 'Tray' and some software/connections icons in the tray. The 'Tray' makes these icons quick open  by a simple click. 

 

    If one software/connection icon is not in the 'tray' how to make it in the 'Tray'?

I had "display device stopped responding and recovered" error last week while using photoshop program. Then I updated display device. But it wasn't work. And I got "thread stuck in device driver" error. I format the PC. But the problem continued. And now PC is not turn on. I press the power button, then bios and hp screens seen. And then there is only black screen. What is the problem? Is the display card broken? Can I replace the display card with the new and better one? The warranty period has expired.

When I turn the laptop on when it is on battery everything starts up just fine. If I turn the computer on while it is plugged in, or plug it in after starting the screen stays black. Not sure what to do about it.

I know I've had this discussion before, but I was hoping someone would have an update or new discovery.

 

Windows 10 upgrade states that this computer is not compatible due to the Nvidia display. 

 

I checked to see if HP had an update for this driver and found that the recommended solution was to go to Nvidia. 

 

Nvidia states that the notebook manufacturer has to make the update, which kind of makes sense to me.

 

So, if HP is unwilling to make the update it seems to be catch 22, I probably can't upgrade (for one of the nicest notebooks ever made) to Windows 10 because there is no video driver compatible. 

 

I did look at the forum and the only thing I found was a "solved" instance from Scott1234, but it was for a 32 bit installation and had some bugs (see below). The link was to a UK site, so I'm thinking I'm not comfortable to do that for my machine, at least not yet.

 

Would appreciate any feedback someone might have to solve this problem.

Hey guys

 

I get this error message when trying to download Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver version 9.17.10.2817

 

The requested URL /pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58864.exe was not found on this server.

 

I don't want to download this from a 3rd party website either.

Whenever a video begins to play, such as Facebook or HP help videos for example, the screen turns green.  The audio can be heard, but no video.  Any solutions?  Thanks.

Hi,

     i just updated my AMD graphics  driver and it is playing with me very badly. 

 

     I tried installing sp55092,sp53025,sp54462AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver but only intel driver is working when i check it in device manager ,and everytime when i restart or play a game i get a BSoD (black screen of death)  and i have to goto safe mode always and disable ati driver to get my laptop back to it's normal state . Now after updating my graphics,i couldn't even  play anygame and always getting BSoD.

 

    I even tried Clean  Formatting my os and again reinstalled all drivers,now again the problem arose with my graphics drivers. I tried installing "ati-mobility-12.3 "  along with sp55092,sp53025,sp54462 but no change at all, my laptop is not detecting AMD drivers   ...........  [saw this solution from a previous post of BSoD on the foprum but that too not working 12.3 mobility drivers]

 

I need someone to plEase provide me with  some stable compatible drivers link for AMD 6770m   Dv6-6165tx model

Mostly any old drivers combo .

 

P.S : there's no problem with any hardware nor cooling system (just when i tried to update my graphics everything went wrong with BSoD)   , also i dont have any backup cd's or partition .

Yet another problem with Windows 10 on my machine. Discovered today that it screwed up my display driver so that I can't use a projector or an external monitor. As per screenshots I've tried updating the driver but it doesn't cause the error to stop. I even uninstalled the adapter and did the 'scan hardware changes' to reinstall but nothing helps. I tried going to Intel but they refuse to allow me to download their driver because HP has a proprietary driver on this machine. Can anyone help?

I have A touchscreen HP pavillion laptop and the screen is unresponsive most of the time, it picks and chooses when it wants to work (once every week maybe less). i have rebooted it and there is no change, its been this way for a few months now. i was wondering if someone could help me otherwise il just have to take it in to the shop which i dont really have the time for. would really appreciate some help ASAP.

On my HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j130us the touchscreen is no longer working. Was giving a weird error at times when I would bring it up and now its not working all together. After I updated to windows 10 I lost the pen and touch option from control panel. I didn't see the driver on my page either unless I over looked it. Can anyone please help with this problem!

I have recently upgraded windows 10 from windows 8.1. I have encountered some display problem. Such as when I plugged or unplugged the charger, the displays goes black for a moment and reappears. I haven't encountered this kind of problem in windows 8.1 OS.
