2740p - Dead Zones in Touch Screen - Dead Corners Keep Alternating on Consecutive Power Cycles
Hopefully someone see's this! I have this problem with my recently aquired elitebook, which I love. This seems to be the resolve to my issues. But I cannot find the firmware download anywhere the link no longer works. What are the chances someone on here can help me find it? The dead corners makes the tablet part very hard to use. poor webcam quality
HP notebook running Windows 10...internal webcam has very poor quality when using skype. I never had a problem with the last two Toshiba laptops while using skype. Can anything be done to improve the quality? Thank you. Also, right now having bad static in speakers. I have encountered poor skype calls in the past but not these two exact issues which tells me the problems are with the laptop...especially the video quality.

Cracked Screen
I am very sad and disappointed with HP because just this morning I opened up my 2 month old laptop to work at school and found out the screen cracked right where the front facing camera is located and since then the crack has been expanding through the screen and it is messing up with the touch features, I am not using the touch screen anymore but it sometimes glitches and won't even let me use the computer properly.
It's amazing how so many people have had this issue, obviously something is wrong with these screens, i have read close to 10 posts like this one so I think it's pretty weird. Hopefully HP will fix it or replace it since it was clearly not my fault in any way, I take great care of my computer since it represents a huge investment for me. When I bought it I thought I was buying an elite quality notebook but apparently not.
Please help me or tell me what to do next, it would be really nice to go back to the great feeling I got when using my Spectre x360.

radeon r7(m360) is not being used
my model has 2 dedicated graphics card-r5(1gb) and r7(m360)(2gb).but all the time the card in use is the r5 one.if I disable the r5 from device manager,windows shows r7 is not working properly.r5 is a very insufficient card.in order to play graphics heavy content i must need r7 working properly.please help me.

Laptop starts up but has a blank screen with back light on
My hp pavilion froze and I had to hold the power button to **bleep** it down, when
i went to turn it back on it has all the usual sounds and lights and the screens back light is on but there is nothing on it.
I've done a hard reset, checked the ram, it came up with the hp logo the other day then went blank, after a couple of times of doing this it came up with the blue error message I pressed to automatically repair and it came on fine, I restated it to make sure it was ok and it completely froze again and I had to do the same thing and now I'm back to square one but the ho logo hasn't come up again. I would really appreciate any input and any help to get it to come on again! Please help!!

HP - B140tx Screen Damaged
Hi,
When I opened my laptop, I was shocked to find the display cracked. The crack had its origin on the top right corner and went all through the screen . The laptop did not suffer any mechanical damage and was just on my table. The case and cover did not have a single scratch but the screen was damaged. I request HP to consider my issue and do the needful and my laptop is covered under warranty

External Monitor Flickering while on Slim Docking Station
When my laptop, a Zbook 14 G2 (second generaation) is on a 2013 HP Slim docking station, my laptop is fine but my external monitor flickers and snows. I tried downloading the SP66799, but it only made it worse after installation.

How to stop laptop going into sleep mode when I close the lid?
Hi guys. I am using an HP Envy which I think is great, however, there is a huge problem: When I close the lid, the laptop goes into sleep mode.
I have researched online and only found one option- to change the settings in the battery options to "Do nothing" when the lid is closed. I did this, however, this still doesn't work. My programs cannot run correctly due to this and I need help.

Screen doesn't turn on after PC is awoken from Sleep on Windows 10.
I have the exact same issue on the Envy 17-k100. My system behaved fine even after the Windows 10 upgrade, but suddenly started to exhibit these problems once some sort of update was installed within the last few weeks.

HP TX 2025el TOUCH with hands and fingers
Good evening, after solving my problems with the sounds, even touchpad and fingerprints don't work at all it have a la trouble to solve pts.
My pen works 100% on my touchscreen, but not hands or fingertips can be used. It leaks like the system doesn't know it.
of course I activate TABLET MODE and nothing as just as in standard mode.
Advices? Someone else has already solved this?

Black screen before logon in Windows 10
I recently upgraded my laptop Pavilion dv6-6047 cl from Windows 7 - 64 bit to Windows 10 - 64 bit. The only thing I changed from the original spec (see link below) was that I bought an Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB. In Windows 7 everything was fine, the boot used to take up to 8s. Now it boots, but stay for more than 1 minute stuck in a black screen before the logon screen appears.
I tried to update the graphic card driver, but nothing happened.
The processor driver is up to date.
The SSD driver is up to date too.
I rolled back to Windows 7 and everything went to normal again. And then upgraded to Windows 10 again, everything goes black again.
Please help me, because my SSD is worth nothing with a 1+ minute boot.

Sound driver
i got my new hp laptop that core i7-4510u , 8GB RAM, 1T hard disc, intel HD graphics 4400, my sound speaker is too low compared to my friend laptop, i dont know really what's the reason exactly, but i download the audio driver from hp website and got DTS audio control panel " DTS -Sound+" but there's bass ,trebile,...etc and i cant control that to make a clear high voice with no noise so what should i do? still my new lap top voice is too low compared to my friend dell laptop :/

No switchable graphics in BIOS for Envy 15 (A6U31AV)
I use Lightroom and am trying to utilize the Radeon HD 7750m graphics for faster performance. Lightroom does not see Open GL and disables the performance setting. My understanding is that I need to set the BIOS to fixed graphics mode and select the Radeon hardware. My BIOS does not include a "switchable graphics" setting. But when I check the HP website it indicates that this is not necessary for the Envy 15. So what do I need to do in order to make the Radeon Graphics, and specifically Open GL available to Lightroom?

how can i remove black lines that have appeared on the corner of the screen? i have tried video and graphics driver updates but its still there and is always visible even if the laptop is off. it doesnt show if i take a pic of the area using the snipping tool. please help.

brightness control buttons F2 F3 not working for HP ac025tx
After installing windows 8.1 and HP drivers from website. the short cut keys for brightness control are not working.
Neither there is option in the "power options" to control the brightness.
