I purchased a 15-ac121dx from BestBuy (never again) and 2 hours later the screen showed a crack which got larger. I broughr it back the next day and they told me it is my problem - they are not liable. The unit worked 2 hours and was not used harshly. It is INSANE. I am literally in tears at this point. Best Buy said to contact HP. Clearly they sold a defective product but they don't care. (I am filing with consumer protection bureau and will scream from the streets if I have to to warn others of their bad business practice)
Is there anything HP can do? I looked into a replacement part to get it fixed and they are charging $966 for that (the unit cost $400 new 2 days ago). Is there a repair center in NYC? I don't even know if this is considered part of the warrenty because it was brand new but I suspect bestbuy sold me the item already defective and once I clused the top it became unusable. I srill can't believe this happened, I have never seen something like this before. If the screens are that unstable, there has to be some sort of culpability
