Two weeks ago I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and immediately the screen resolution started behaving unstably ( split screen, etc). Now, I have only a small portion of the screen available and random colour patterns. The question is, is it possible to replace or even upgrade the radeon graphics card? Or the cost will be such that would constitute this action non suitable?

Brightness Button not working
Hi,
I cant able to adjust the brightness in my laptop.I have tried using the F2 and F3 button & the other options available in the control panel but Nothing works.Kindly help to resolve this issue.

Screen going grey
Since some time I'm having an issue with the scrren. It goes kind of grey and striped. It happens usually when I'm starting the system, but recently alsoduring normal operation. Sometimes it changes to normal after several seconds, sometimes not. A computer restart does not always work. Freezing the computer in this state causes crashing/hanging up or how to call it in English. Pasting a print screen into paint gives a normal image of the desktop. Also when I'm restarting the computer in this state, immediately after logging out, everything is fine. Any ideas what to do? Thanks in advance!

I have had my computer for about a year now and it that time it has had several problems. Most of which I could solve myself. However this morning I woke and started my computer to find it on a grey screen. The light for power was on and when I clicked caps lock or the mute button those lights are on. I also pressed f4 and a blue box in the right came up and disappeared. I can also see my mouse. The brightness works as well. I would very much like some help.

Configure Switchable graphics button is missing!
Hello.
I went to my device manager, and right clicked on my display adapter to update it. The update was successful with no issues.
The 2 display drivers i have displayed:
AMD Radeon HD 6470M and Intel HD graphics Family.
These are the drivers that i had since i got this pc.
For some reason after i restarted my pc (to finish the update), i could no longer see the configure switchable graphics buttion, and when i click my AMD control center button, i get an error saying : Catalyse Control Center Host has stopped working.

Graphics Card/Drivers not working

Machine : HP Pavillion DV6 6113tx
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Graphics : Radeon(TM) 6770M HD
Every this was working fine but all of a sudden one morning my windows stucks at logo first i tried every thing to get it back (restore point , recovery , backup reinstallation , safe mode detection etc) but nothing worked.
Then I reinstall windows again when I installed all drivers windows stucks at logo . But when I unistall only radeon graphics driver the windows working fine and I can login to my pc , I did it again I installed graphics driver again windows cannot move further.
So please can any expert answer me whats the matter ? right now I dont have graphics driver/card working cannot change brightness/resolution
2. How can I detect whether my radeon 1 gb grahpics card is working or not , or what is the problem graphics card or driver ?

HP Stream 13 Display is Extremely Dark
Help! I bought this only a few months ago but then haven't used it for several months. When I plugged it in to charge, the screen was completely black yet the battery is now fully charged. I connected it to my TV via HDMI and it worked perfectly. I can slightly make out what's happening on the screen but it almost looks like I have the dimmer on and that's not it....any suggestions??? I hope the LED isn't burnt out.

HP Pavilion m7 laptop - screen flashes/on off constant when using USB or card reader
I have Windows 10, 64 bit OS. HPi7 processor. 8 gbRAM. Since upgrading to Win10, every time I use a USB port (mouse, accesory plug or any other) or insert my card into the card reader slot, the screen starts flashing off and on constantly. I am unable to do anything to get out of it. I have to use ctrl-alt-del to reboot. I must add that this ALSO occurs when I right-click on an icon on the desktop, as when I try to right-click on a jpeg icon to delete it.
I cannot figure out, or find an explanation, on how to correct this problem.
I bought the computer in May, iI think, at Best Buy. It should be under warranty. But I am not sure.
I hope you can guide me to something that will stop this problem. I am ready to return the laptop, and buy something else!

Widnows 10 Update
I have had multiple problems with my HP15 laptop after upgrading to Windows 10. After I've unplugged the powercord and used the computer on battery power and then plug it back in again the screen goes black to the point that I can't see the mouse. When I unplug the computer from the powercord the computer brightens up again. I have called HP multiple times about this problem. The first time they updated a driver and that worked for a while but then it happened again. The computer is only 5 months old. HP is well aware of this problem but wants me to send my computer to HP for 5-7 days to get the problem fixed. Why would anyone send their computer to HP to get fixed? They tell me that they wipe the data before they work on the computer. How do I know that? How do I work for 5-7 days without a computer? Since the computer is only 5 months old I don't think it's unreasonable to send me a new computer - let me transfer the data and wipe the computer and then let HP fix the problems and figure out what to do with the broken one they sold me? Why have American companies using technical talent from India think it's OK to take people's money under the premise that when you but an HP product that it will work? When you want only what you agreed to - an HP laptop that works, why does HP put up such a fight? Why do they believe they reserve the right to sell you a broken computer and inconvenience your life to only get what you agreed to....a computer that works. This is why people are flocking to Apple and what I wish I would have done. This I guess is what I get by being penny wise and pound foolish. This laptop doesn't really do anything more than what an Apple would do with the exception that the Apple would work like it's supposed to. If by chance it doesn't you can take it an Apple store to get the problem fixed. With HP they send you to a call center in India with people who speak poor english.

Could not switch to discrete graphic card AMD Radeon HD 6470M from Intel HD 3000
My laptop HP Pavilion G6-1068SE has Intel HD 3000 On Board Graphics along with 1GB discrete Radeon HD 6470M graphics.
When I did a fresh install of Windows 10 x64, Windows Update automatically installed latest Catalyst Control Center along with the necessary display drivers for Intel HD 3000 (On-board Graphics).
What I expected under display adapters in Device Manager:
- AMD Radeon HD 6470M Series
- Intel(R) HD Graphics
What s actually present:
- AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series
- Intel(R) HD Graphics
Problems I face due to this:
1) No 3D setting or any other configurable options in AMD Control Center (Information is the only tab available)
2) No SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS options under context menus and in Control Center
3) GPU Frequency constantly remains at 0MHz (from AMD System Monitor and tried other GPU benchmarking tools)
4) All applications are fully and solely handled by Intel HD 3000 and discrete graphics is never detected by any of my games
5) DxDiag shows DirectX version as 10 even though the laptop supports DirectX 11
Solutions I tried:
1) Uninstalled AMD Catalyst Control Center automatically installed by Windows and tried following versions download from AMD website: v15.8 Beta, v15.7, v14.9, v14.4, v13.12, v12.10 and all of them showed the same problems. Note: Before installing each version I completely uninstalled the existing version rebooted and installed the other one.
2) Went to HP Website, Driver for Windows 10 is unavailable. Downloaded Windows 7,8 and 8.1 drivers and installed in compatibility mode.
3) Tried LESHCAT drivers downloaded from their official site.
In spite of all my efforts, the aforementioned problems still persist. Isn t there a way that I get my discrete GPU working with all features including switchable graphics in Windows 10, other than downgrading my OS to Windows 8 or Windows 7 so as to get drivers from HP?

My pc laptops screen is green when playing videos with normal audio
My pc laptop doesnt play videos but I do have normal audio. I got it in 2013 I dont understand why it could break this easily. I did not touch any of the settings or download anything please help!

Orange light flashes on right side resulting in video lag
I upgraded my new laptop to Windows 10.Since then when my laptop runs a video(offline) in vlc or any other player the video lags in between.Only after a few days i noticed that there is a orange light which blinks which usually blinks in white(not the power,power feed is fine).Whenever it blinks in orange color the video lags.The blink icon looks like three disks placed on the top of the other.The display rendering is fine during normal uses.It lags only in video.I have an Nvidia geforce 940m dedicated graphics card and all my drivers are up to date.I didn't experince this problem before when i was using with windows 8.1.
I would like to know what's the issue and how to solve it.

upgraded to windows 10 on my hp laptop with AMD mobility radeon 5000 HD and HDMI does not work
My laptop is a HP Pavillion DV3 Notebook 64bit I5 running windows 10 home.
When I connect an external monitor via the hdmi lead it does not recognise it but does when I use vga.
Also I have installed the latest drivers - even tried the beta ones from the AMD site
