My problem is that I think that the dedicted graphic card (Radeon 7670m) runs all the time. My hp pavilion g6 2303sh is too noisy and the right bottom corner of the laptop is too hot to be the intel hd4000. I tried the "Configure switchable graphics" on desktop, but in the amd ccc I can only configure specific programs. How do I know actually which card is running with windows (when no programs are being used) and how can I switch to intel hd4000 as default.

3 minuscule spots on the screen that won't go away
Hi, I recently had my laptop fixed due to some bios issues (the laptop wouldn't start) so they had the main board replaced. Everything was fine when I received the laptop but after a few days, tiny spots started appearing on the screen, which lead me to believe that maybe something wasn't screwed tight enough and dust might have goten into it. It would be a huge help to get this sorted because it does tend to get very distracting when doing work or anything that involves reading. Its very noticable on a white background because it appears black, and on a black background it appears white. I would like to get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Red pixelation on screen
Hi,
I have an Envy17-3002ea that has recently developed a problem with the screen/video output.
On boot I get a red background with a distorted windows logo, framed in fuzzy black lines, the logo colours are barely visible. Once into windows the notebook is useable but there are red pixels in areas of darkness on the background image and swirls of pinky red on the win 7 start page.
I am told it is likely that the on board video is cooked.
Is it possible to output to an external video display to check this or is the external output from adifferent adaptor/chip?

Severe eye strain with new laptop display
Hello everyone,
I bought a HP15-ac101TU (Win 10, Core i3 5th gen, Intel integrated graphics 5500, 1366x768 res) laptop day before yesterday, and have been having a severe eye strain working on it. Within a few minutes of looking at its 15.6 in screen, I get a strain and a headache.
I have adjusted the brightness, contrast and gamma settings to different levels and even used the Display Colour Calibration within Win 10 to improve the display, but to no avail.
My eyesight is perfect and I've been using a laptop for a long time without any discomfort to my eyes. I still checked a few more laptops' displays of my friends today, and with the same graphics and display settings, I am very comfortable with their displays.
Can anyone help? Also, do I have a case for refund? I like the machine but with this display, its not useful for me.

HP Omen 15 Huge FPS Drops
Hi.
I've had this issue for a while and have put up with it but now I've decided It needs to be fixed. As the title suggests, when I'm gaming, I have massive FPS drops for a few seconds where I go down to around 5fps and with some games, especially fast paced, is game changing. The reason I don't know what to do is because I've found that it does it on every game, reguardless of graphics settings, whether it's an old game on lowest quality or a newgame on highest. It's especially annoying because for 50% of the time it it'll run any game extrememly smooth with no problems, so I know that it's capable of running games without the FPS drops. I always update my drivers and check everything is as it should be.
p.s. The underside gets extremely hot a lot of the time, so I was wondering if that was the problem, so a couple of days ago I bought a cooling tray and it hasn't made a difference so far.

Sleep Mode / Display issue
Looking for a little help with an issue regarding a 15t Laptop with Windows 10 (64-bit). When the laptop awakes from sleep mode the display settings have changed. The shortcuts etc on the desktop become very large. Almost as if everything on the display is zoomed in. If I shut down or restart the laptop the display goes back to the correct setting. Any ideas on what I can do to fix?

Blank Screen
Hi everyone, I have a 3 years old "HP Envy/ 3D" Laptop (Product No.: XG360Av) running window 7. Lately, sometimes, the screen goes completely BLANK with "White Screen" and after awhile turns into "Black Screen."
I have noticed the followings:
- If there is Video associated with the current page the SOUND is unaffected.
- When I connect the Laptop to a second monitor, like TV, everything works Okay on the second monitor.
- When I run the Laptop in "SAFE Mode", the problem never occurs.
- When I RESTART the Laptop from "SAFE Mode" it recovers, but after some period the PROBLEM again occurs.
- When I close the cover of the Laptop after the BLACKOUT, and open it again, it recovers, but problem shows up after an unknown period.
Has somebody faced this problem? Or, can someone please help me to solve this problem?

HP Envy 6-1010ea - borken hinge for the second time
Does anyone know how to contact HP? 4 months ago my Ultrabook's hinge split apart for the SECOND time - despite gentle use in terms of opening and closing it very carefully. The first time this happened I took it to Currys KnowHow who repaired it at the time as it was under garuntee. BUT - they told me it was a "known problem" although they would only guarantee the repair for 3 months (which was within the product's 1 year guarantee).
When it happened AGAIN 4 months ago, I tried to use the "contact HP" on their website, but I got an automated message saying there was no support for my product as it is outside of its garuntee.
The build quality on the hinge is appalling - it seems to have been held on with epoxy resin glue, and the hinge is quite stiff (as there is no locking mechanism). It almost appears that it is built to fail after a certain number of uses. I am just amazed at the fact that it has not even been obvious how to speak to anyone at HP in customer services.
Does anyone know how I can contact them?

Fine for 2 years, after 2 days not loading login screen. HELP NEEDED !!
Hello everyone and thank you in advance if you can help me with my laptop problem......
We put the laptop in the cupboard for 2 days, we had our floor laminated, so whe we took out the laptop it doesn't boot up with the bios options or login screen, just a black screen.
The lights are on : the quick play functions...
The battery light is flashing when it is OFF and ON, the FAN is working, but at the bottom where the TOUCHPAD is, there is a flashing RED and BLUE light.
Also I have the blue light where the number lock is, it has a seperate light.
I can't access the FUNCTION keys because I have no screen activity, I have tried it on my pc tower's monitor and nothing there either......:
This is what i can see at this moment in time..... Next, I have no idea ! ....
Please help me if you can, my baby uses this for her videos.....

hp 630 display not turning on!
My HP 630 which is 2.5 years old was working fine but unexpectedly it turned off, when I tried to turn it on the power button light and even the WiFi light is turned on and the hard disk starts spinning as usual but the display is still off. (The caps lock button on keyboard didn't respond at this time)
After few seconds the fan slows down as if its working on low mode or something, but yes it keeps spinning.
I tried connecting the laptop to HDMI output but its not giving any out.
I even tried removing battery and holding the power button for 60 seconds and plugged to power supply to turn it on, but still the same response.
My battery backup was poor but was working fine.
What can be done to fix.
Kindly respond as soon as possible.

KVM problems detecting video from HP EliteBook 840 G2
I have an HP desktop connected to a TRENDnet TK-407 KVM along with a new EliteBook 840 G2. The desktop works fine with the KVM, but the EliteBook video (VGA) won't display through the KVM. If I connect the EliteBook directly to the monitor it works fine, but through the KVM I get no video.
I had a similar problem last week with an old EliteBook 8440p. That machine would display on the monitor through the KVM for a second or so before swtiching off. I have read that the problem is that Windows 7 requires DDC/EDID to pass continually for the monitor to work, and that KVMs without "Full DDC" or "All-time DDC" simply won't work. Those KVMs cost hundreds of dollars and I'm not willing to put out the money. DDC/EDID also doesn't explain why my desktop works but my laptops won't.
Monitor is Samsung SyncMaster 206BW.

Intel Graphics installation after windows 10 installation
Hi! I am having a trouble installing the Intel Graphics driver provided by HP for my system. When i try to install the intel graphics version 10.18.10.4252 Rev.B the installation says the computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. When i manually try to install using device manager the there a version of 10.18.15.4248 installed and says its the best for your device. Help me install the required drivers so that i can peacefully shut down and sleep my pc.The pc used to work properly with windows 8.1. Thanks in advance.

I wanna update my drivers for amd radeon Hd 7670m (7000 series) i didnt updated my drivers for a long time i have 13.1 catalyst version before when i tried updating it it showed some error it couldnt open grapich properties so i didnt updated it for a long time . i gave it to pc repair to install it for me so they did becouse i couldnt find a solution.
I wanna update this new 15.7 version of amd catalist but it seas that theres no version for win 8 only win 8 .1 can i install them.
And can somone please tell me how to preoperly update drivers that i dont get any error or such thing
can drivers of win 8.1 work on win8 ?

Screen
my screen doesnt appear completely like it have a black horizantal bar on its left side and vertical on its top too someone told me that i have to re configure my screen doest it mean i have to open it and re fix it? and yes when i close my screen the right clip stays up a little bit, if i press it downward it creates a sound like tik'', and it shows full screen after 5 or 6 restarts please help me this is the problem im facing since i bought the laptop
