Is there any way to increase the "output/preformance" of my hp4000 video card? It is in a toshiba satalite i3 quad core 8Gb RAM. Preformance of the laptop is not the issue, but the card is slowing my gamming down (WoT). Or, is there a way to bypas the card on the board and use an external one (pie in the sky question, but just curious)?

HP Envy Display Issues (Yellow Backlight in Corners)
Hello, I have recently puchased a HP Envy m7-n101dx. When the laptop is has a dark screen; whether it's a web page, picture etc I notice what looks like a yellow tinge (backlight in the corners of the screen. It is especailly noticeable during system boot up and the screen is on the HP. The staff at Best Buy was confused as well as I tried 2 other new units and the same issue. Is this a wide spread HP manufacturing product or what. I have brought a HP Envy for my wife that has a tocuh screen as well along with 2 other HP laptops for my kids and this issue does not happen.
Any assistance is apprecaited.

can't turn off web bar at top of screen
My son has a new Envy laptop. Everytime the computer starts up, there is a web bar at the top of the screen that remains on top of everything and hides important things. For example, when he opens another program, the web bar hides the bar to close or minimize the program.
The computer originally had Windows 8.1 on it, but he has upgraded to Windows 10. The bar was there on both operating systems.
We would like to close this web bar forever--it simply is not needed, but I've found no way to do this.

Enabling fixed mode graphic in HP pavilion G4 1214 tx

My laptop is HP paviliong G4 1214tx with dual Graphic: Intel 3000 and AMD HD 6470m.
Like i mentioned in my previous post, i had a problem with switchable graphics.
Long story short i had a problem with my display adapter. even when i already assign a game to High performance in switchable display, the games FPS still drops to around 10 and it seems like my sistem keeps using intel card instead of AMD in games (evidence being the same FPS rates wether iam using High Performance or Power Saving mode).
I then decide to upgrade my bios so i could use Fixed mode graphics, like mentioned in this document.
I am downloading BIOS from my laptop official page: here
The document mentioned that the option to change the graphic to Fixed mode should be appeared in BIOS after i did the update, like this:
But, even after iam updating the BIOS to version F.66, the option didn't appear in bios at all, like shown in this pic

Sysinfo shown that i already had the newest F66 bios but yet, the option didn't appear
ho do i change my graphic to Fixed mode? did i do something wrong in updating the bios? or there's a step i missed??

HDMI no longer displaying

Sorry this has been posted thousands of times. My laptop screen is broken so will only show a picture via HDMI. This was fine but ever since the windows 10 update came out is just not showing anything on any TV.
I have tried on multiple TVs. Multiple HDMI cables etc etc.... I am getting a new screen soon but really don't want to wait another two weeks as I really want to play Football Manager lol.
Does anyone know anything about how to sort this. As stated above the screen is completely gone so I CANNOT click anything on the screen.

pinch zoom
I have a brand new HP Pavillion, and it seems like every time I touch my mouse pad it zooms in or out, whether I have one or two fingers on it. I've turned off pinch zoom many times, but every time I turn my computer off and then back on the pinch zoom is activated again. It seems nothing I do works to keep it turned off. What should I do now?

toggle between external monitor and laptop
I have attached an external monitor to my laptop using a DVI converter to HDMI cable. Both the external monitor and laptop monitor work fine. They are both on at the same time. At one time I know I could toggle between the laptop monitor (turn it off) and the external monitor and now I cannot remember how or if it can be done in Windows 10.
I found the answer. So easy, I cannot believe it worked. Thanks.

I just recently got an HP pavilion DV5-1235dx for my graduation, and I had a few questions about the screen flickering problem. My first question is does it happen to all of the laptops like mine? And would it be worth fixing it, I'm on a college budget and am curious whether or not it would be worth the time and money to fix the issue, or if I should just buy a new laptop? I just want to know the possibility of upgrading my video card of HP elitebook 8470p w/ core i5-3360M. I currently have intel graphics 4000 and i find it very slow when it come to some stuff. We all want to have a better view right. My internet inquiries shows that there is an HP elitebook 8470p runs on core i7 with a discrete amd radeon 7570.
Is it possible to change the graphic card to any compatible AMD cards? or NVIDIA? I hope to hear from you soon.

display auto rotation doesn't work on x360 m6-w102dx
Just bought a HP - ENVY x360 m6-w102dx 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop
auto-rotation does not work. When hinge is fully rotated, computer asks to be switched to tablet mode. Checked yes
After putting the computer in 'tent mode orientation'... display is upside down and won't auto rotate.

Pavillion G6 Loads Windows OK but screen is blank
I have a Pavillion G6 which is not displaying anything on screen. The system runs up OK into Windows (7) and attaching an external monitor allows us to continue to work. Everything in the system manager says that the display and drivers are all fine (and up to date). You can use the keys to adjust the brightness of the screen and can see something is happening, but nothing is displayed, just a faint glow.
Grateful if anyone can advise on any remedy or do you think the system will need to go to a repair shop?
