Brighness flickering in slight ranges
Hi there,
I disabled a few third party shell programs from the desktop context menu, as I saw the context menu slowed down. Soon after restarting explorer, The display brightness started to increase and decrease, by narrow margins. It just starts to increase and does that for around 5 times. A few seconds later, it decreases the same way and this happens multiple times. Some of the programs that I thought would be linked to this issue, like the Nvidia Display shell extension and TheDesktopContextMenu from Intel, I enabled them again, restarted the explorer and the laptop itself, but no use. Any idea, of what should be done? Should I take it to the Service center? The laptop is just 10 days old.

Which drivers do I need to update?
Hi I need help...!
My laptop is out of warranty and suddenly I have an issue with KB2670838 (BSOD). Removing the KB removes IE11 which has proformed with no issues for well over 1 year. This problem has just surfaced. I have checked the drivers for the display for my "DV7-6b75nr" and I have 3 updates available.
In Device Manager I have 3 "Display adapters" :
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family...properties state: Driver Provider AMD Inc, Date 9/30/2011, Driver V 8.882.2.3000
LogMeIn Mirror Drives...properties state: Driver provider: LogmeIn Inc, Date 5/22/2006, Driver V 7.1.542.0
Radeon (TM) HD 6770M...properties state: Driver provider: AMD Inc, Driver date 9/30/2011, Driver V 8.882.2.3000
When I check the driver graphic section for WIndows 7 for the laptop at,
I have 3 options....as this computer has 2 different display driver manufactures(hybrid?)....which drivers do I need to update?
I presume that I can delete the logmein drivers as I do not use the program?

Video card driver not innstalled
Hi,
I am from nepal. I recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I installed most of the drivers from driver pack disk but i can't find the video card driver anywhere. :'( My brightness control button also doesnt work. I can't adjust the brightness of my laptop.
Please help !
i don't know but for some reason after installing windows 7, my laptop battery backup is also not good. Before it used to give about 3 hours of backup but now at 100% capacity, it gives only about half hour backup.
i don't what has happened. Help please !!!!!

HP true vision HD : how to get to it on Spectre XT pro?
Hi everyone,
I don't think the title of this topic is really clear, but I'll try to explain myself better.
I got my spectreXT pro laptop 2 years ago and the webcam never worked. I already tried to make a few researches a couple times, but never really minded about it. A few days ago, a friend of mine asked me to turn it on while we were on Skype, I told him it didn't worked but tried anyway and ... it worked perfectly fine. We tried again yesterday : it worked a few seconds, then went off, did that a couple times more and then never worked again. Most of the time it works only a few seconds and goes off until I reboot my computer at least once.
So yeah, just like a lot of us, my camera goes from HP true Vision HD to SPCA 2082 camera everywhere on my computer, and when it does, it doesn't work anymore.

I reinstalled drivers (youcam), I even tried to understand what SPCA 2082 camera was because I read lots of different things about it - uninstalled it, rebooted my computer and it is actually Windows related (so you can uninstall it, but Windows will install it again the next time you turn the computer on).
On several forums, I read this could be a hardware problem, and I think that is a very interesting answer because my problem looks like a short circuit. That is how I came across this video : https://youtu.be/RKGz4lvYnhc
I tried to do it with my own computer, it isn't as hard as I thought, but the problem is that the Spectre XT screen is different from the Pavillion DV7 one : the webcam isn't hidden behind the stiff black plastic frame you can easily take off with a guitar pick, it's behind the screen part (which is softer).
When I tried to get to my webcam to see if there was a connector problem, I couldn't, and I didn't want to break anything.
Am I supposed to be able to get to my camera connector the same kind of way this guy did on hit Pavillion DV7, even if my Spectre is slightly different? Has anyone tried it already? I don't want to break my computer for the webcam, but this is frustrating ...

Switchable Graphics Issues
Hey there. I got a Pavilion m6 with dual graphics (Intel and AMD) about a year ago and until now it has been running perfectly, no issues at all. Until GTA V was released for PC. I got it but it was not working and I realized that I had not updated the graphics drivers so I decided to visit AMD's page. There was a GTA V optimised driver and I downloaded and installed it immediately without looking at the title which said it was a beta dirver (beta 15.something). As soon as I restarted my PC after installing I began experiencing issues. Bad display and when I cheacked the device manager at first it said that the AMD card wasnt working then when I checked again it said the Intel one wasnt working and after that it said none of the cards was working. I had had no experience with this stuff so naturally I looked it up on google and google said the best solution was to roll back the drivers. I did that and everything went back to normal. Everything except the switchable graphics option and the AMD Control Center. I used to right-click on the desktop and I would see the option for switchable graphics but I dont see it at all now. Alongwith that the AMD Control Center is still there but it gives an error when I try to launch it. Please help ASAP as I am having trouble gaming because I am not able to dedicate graphics cards to my games. By the way I tried installing the drivers manually from your site but I dont why the download just doesnt start. I've tried it from multiple browsers but to no avail. Thank you
(P.S. I never got to play GTA V though because apparently rockstar hasn't provided support for laptops with switchable graphics so any help in that matter will also be appreciated. Thanks again)_

Laptop display won't turn on after shutdown
I have a HP Pavilion and every once in a while when I shutdown my laptop, usually it seems when it's shutdown while on battery the screen won't turn on again after I start the laptop up. Sometimes it seems to randomly work again after a few tries of resets but this time it seems nothing is working. When I plug the laptop to the TV the laptop itself works perfectly fine.
I've tried doing a hard reset quite a few times, full reset, cycling the monitor screens, shining a light at the screen to see if it was an inverter problem, changing the power settings. Called HP and all they told me to do was a hard reset and then wanted me to send my laptop away which I can't afford to give up for a couple of weeks.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Envy 6 with AMD Radeon HD7500G
- I have an Envy 6 Notebook with AMD Radeon HD7500G. I read that the GPU should support 2560 x 1440.
- Connecting my external monitor (Acer H272HUL) that support 2560 x 1440 to the notebook using an HDMI v. 1.4 cable I only have 1920 x 1220.
- Connecting the same monitor with other two PCs that I have (one using AMD GPU another using NVIDIA GPU) I have no problem getting 2560 x 1440 on my monitors.
- Please tell me how to get 2560 x 1440 resolution with my above notebook. IAMD Catalyst Control Center does not have any tweaks for me to get to that resolution.

Can I use a 2nd Monitor at 4K resolution (quad hd, 3840 x 2160 pixels)
HP Envy TS 17 Notebook, Product # E4S19UA
Laptop is running Intel HD Graphics 4600, and I have 16Gb memory installed.
I use a 2nd monitor all the time via the HDMI port - works great. Both the laptop and the current 2nd monitor are running at 1920x1080 resolution (HD).
I would like to attach a 4K monitor - (UHD-1) 3840x2160 resolution - 4 x "regular" HD (twice the horizontal and twice the vertical resolution).
Will this laptop be able to operate the 4K monitor at 3840x2160 resolution (even at 30hz would be okay - not for games but rather for word processing, spreadsheets, software development)? Don't want to invest in the fancy new monitor if the laptop cannot drive it!
Here is an exampe monitor: Samsung 28 Inch Ultra High Resolution LED Monitor (U28D590D), available on Amazon.com.

VGA and HDMI ports are next to each other; any VGA cable blocks HDMI port; want 3 displays.
The VGA & HDMI ports are right next to each other on the left side of the laptop. I ultimately would like to connect two monitors to it, but am unable to occupy both ports because the everyday end of a VGA cable/extender is too wide. Any solutions?

Touch screen is not working
My laptop touch screen stop working.
I made fresh installing of OS and touch screen still not working.
2 of my friends have same laptop model and face same issue. They toke the laptop to agency and it fixed the issue for them as their laptops are still under warranty. Agency commented that the issue is related to hardware.
I got my laptop issue after warranty is expired. But it seem that this model is more possible to have this kind of issue.
Please can help first to make sure that my laptop issue is hardware issue and not software issue.
And if it is hardware issue can HP agency fixed this issue based on number of complains they are receiving for this model.

Resolution on the HP Envy 15 ae028TX
Hello,
I just bought the HP Envy 15 ae028TX. From theE product description on the HP store, it stated that the display was WLED touch screen 15" with Full HD at 1920x1080. However, on receipt of the product the resolution is only 1366x768 and it is not touch screen either. I tried but could not increase the resolution. I have attempted to go back to the store to get the product specs sheet but cannot.
Can you assist me please? I need the proper specs sheet for the laptop.

My HDMI port doesn't work

I upgraded my windows to 8.1-64 bit and after that I found out my HDMI port and Bluetooth doesn't work , from this page I download Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver which finish installing with a error that says

also I downloaded Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth 4.0+HS Driver for Microsoft Windows but nothing happend , in the other hand I am prety sure that my product bluetooth is Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software forBluetooth®technology (it was previous windows driver) that I downloaded it from this link and it didn't work.
I'd appreciate it if someon help me.
