I'm looking for a new monitor at work - I can get migraine from looking at monitors so I want to get the specs correct. I have a HP x2301, which is backlit but it still isn't great - does it have cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL)?
Or if anyone has a suggestion for which features I should consder when buying a monitor?

i've been googling about my issue and never found the right solution. i tried installing the latest driver for my amd switchable graphic card and it always give me error like "no amd graphics driver is installed or the amd driver is not functioning properly. please install the amd driver appropriate for your amd hardware" or "you do not have the compatible vga hardware to driver" etc. i was able to update my amd card using old raptr app but after doing a format everything's **bleep**ed up. i dont know why it seems like i'm the only one who's having this issue. can you help me?
Hi in my case I just creat a video with adobe premier and after that my graphique apear is like crazy and I cant realy explain how it runs. is like it up lights and get down queekly after! And when it got a long time runing it stays normal and after a few minutes it goes the same how! and when it stays thers' like a pink apear on the right top of the screen! I just want to know if it's a softwer or hardwer problem!

All this start happening because I change my previous SATA HDD for a new HybridSSD HDD, because the previous one was failing. Insted of installing the previous version of Windows 8 64bits, I jump to Windows 8.1 64bits.

i m using pavillion 15-r004ne on a windows 64 bit 8.1 OS and i can't adjust my display brightness. I tried adjusting by hot keys F2 and F3, tried adjusting via mobility center, tried through control panel and so on, but no response this far. it shows tiny pop up when i press those keys. But nothing got changed, the display brightness remains the same. seeking for thesolution soon

I've HP ZBook 15 G2 (with FirePro M5100) with 230W advanced docking station with 2 monitors connected with the DVI cables. After the notebook goes to the "turn off displays" power mode, the monitors are in sleep state. Then when I move my mouse to "wake" the monitor, only the second of them is waked up but the first one is trying to wake up, but always print "no signal detected". The second monitor is cycling off/on for some time (1 minute). Then the first monitor also wake up and everythings works fine.
Also when I open the lid of the notebook (because the lid is closed when the notebook is in docking station), then after all display goes to off/on, the first monitor would suddenly wake up and all monitors would start working normally.
I want to mentioned, that I had a problems when the switchble graphics was enabled. All 3D applications weren't redrawn correctly and some windows had a bad content. This has been solved with disabling the switchable graphics in the bios. Maybe it is somehow related.
I've tried searching for the given probles, but haven't found anything that could solve the problems.
I'm using Windows 7 Pro.

I have a serious problem with black screen. When the notebook is turned on the screen stays black. There are blinks from capital lock and wifi button. I have tried some instructions with the F keys but nothing worked. The notebook is only one year old and is not working properly. What should I do?

I am using HP COMPAQ l2311C MONITOR, BUT I AM GETTING NO AUDIO FROM SPEAKERS. IT SAYS @NO JACK INFORMATION AVAILABLE". HOW DO I RESOLVE THIS? HELP!
I bought my laptop used. The person told me that they contacted HP and said that it needed a new mother board. I have replaced the mother board along with a new hard drive. It still does the same thing it done before I replaced mother board. The fan is running, the F12 button is lit up red, and the caps lock button is flashing about every 3 seconds. I have tried taking the battery out, unplugging it, holding the power button for 30 seconds, then putting the battery back in and pulgging it back in about 5 times and still, nothing happens. Please help. Thanks!
Problem with HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11-e110nr touchscreen -- 1) started zooming in and out when browsing internet and 2) has now developed small, pulsating blue-ish circles on left side of the screen. Tried reloading Google Chrome, but problem remains using IE as well as Firefox as well as now using MS Office products for day-to-day work. We tried the HP Help diagnostic to test the touchscreen, hardware, etc. with no success. Can't find an HP service support number to speak to a technician. Does anyone 1) know how to fix the touchscreen problem or 2) a phone number to contact. Thank you!

My laptop has stopped recognizing my AOC monitor. I had no problems previously and after (if memory serves) a Windows and/or HP update I've lost the ability to connect. I had some success trying to downgrade my drivers but on a Windows restart I'm back to the same issue. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the display drivers but also without success. Laptop is connected to the monitor via HDMI to a HDMI -> DVI adapter.
Any assistance anyone can provide would be great.

I got a Pavilion 15 (E4X29PA#AB4) with i5-3230M 2.60GHz, Windows 8.1 64bit, Radeon (TM) HD 8670M 2GB DDR3, Intel Hd Graphics 4000, but it doesn't run even the low-specs games. In windows manager it shows the boths video cards but when I try playing some games, or Heaven Benchmarking, it always run the Intel Hd 4000.
I've read about the swichtable graphics and set to max performance but it didn't solve my problem.
I tried unnistalling and reinstalling the drivers from Intel and AMD and nothing. Can you give some advices and help me?

Iv had my hp laptop for about a year now, never had any issues until now. today on 4 sepearte occasions it has shut down and come up with an error message. i noticed it only comes up for example if i lift my laptop up and move from the couch to the table or even to reposition it when i am sitting down even though i am very gentle.
when i first turned it on after about 20 minutes my explorers froze and then the little flag in the bottom right said there were 2 issues with my computer (spyware was turned off) i did virus scans and then suddenly it turned off again. i don't know if this is a virus? or is my hd giving up?
I do not know much about laptops / software at all!! Is anyone able to help me and explain things very simply step by step? please.
the first message that came up is kernel security check, then one i can't remember, then kernel security check again & then kmode exception not handled.
one thing i find odd (i have had the occassional blue screen), is when the blue screen came up each time the background is quite shaky and it looks the writing is overlapping more writing? never seen this! I have attached the photo i took.
