HP 15-5207AX Graphics Problem

≫ Next: Where can I get BCM20802AO Bluetooth Driver for Envy6-1010us

I have Hp 15-g207AX which comes with Amd A8 6410 processor (with r5 integrated graphics) and AMD Radeon 8750M Grahics Card. I downloaded the drivers from the Hp website for Windows 8.1. I have couple of problems:

1. Instead of showing the display adapter as AMD RADEON 8750M, device Manager shows AMD RADEON 8500M. Is there a driver issue? (Device Manager does show AMD r5 Graphics under the display adapter tab)

2. There was no chipset driver on HP website for 15-g207AX.

3. The Catalyst Control Center does not give me the option of enableing dual graphics. How do I enable dual graphics?

4. AMD A8 6410 processor comes with turbo boost upto 2.4 Ghz. How do I enable the turbo boost? Or is it already enabled? If so how do i check it?

5. Is it possible to make dedicated graphics as primary graphic card?

Any help regarding the above problems will be a great help to me. Thanks a lot in advance.

Everytime i go to watch a video. It starts out i can see it but then it goes away and all i get is sound and this happens evertime i get on youtube or facebook to see videos. Please help me

Hi, my notebook has stopped playing any type of video/movie file, either online or offline. Depending on which program I use to play them I get either a green screen or just a black (blank) screen. The audio works no problem, it's just the video. The same happens if I try to play a DVD.

the dvd disk drive is not working.when i put in a dvd or music cd, it doesnt play. a popup comes on that says please insert disk into dvd/drive, i try it again same thing happens nothing....do i uninstall the driver then install it again.it says its working properly but it makes a loud grinding noise

Movie Maker 12 cannot open with Video 6490M

I have had some trouble with Winows Movie maker 12 (can't start because notebook does not meet minimum requirements is the diagnostic). Researched problem with Intel and Advised by Intel to update Graphics driver. Found it was an HP custom driver and could not be updated by Intel properly. Searched HP for drivers and found only that I needed to upgrade Card Reader and HP UEFI Support Environment. Upgraded those and Ran Support Environment and found no further action required/necessary. Movie Maker 12 still cannot start although I believe all requirements met. I have display driver 8.882.2.3000 for Intel Graphics Family (AMD) and Radeon HD 6490M dated 9/30/2011. Is there any more recent graphics driver for my computer that will allow Windoes Essential Movie Maker 12 to work? Is there any other fault I should look for?

hello friends,

My friend gave me a 2730p laptop/tablet a little while back.

when I recieved it it was running windows 7 home premium.

Today I went to install my copy of windows 7 ultimate but the screen does not rotate anymore when you flip the screen.

All of my drivers are installed...

I've checked numerious sites including this one, and I cant get this thing going...

Any ideas?

Hello,

My Notebook will not read any disks i put in. I can hear my laptop run for a few seconds after i insert it then nothing. It just wont register that a disk as been insterted. It is mostly DVDS that i wish to use.

In this PC it comes up as "DVD RW Drive (E :smileyhappy: "

Please help. Im not sure what other information you will need or what else i could tell you.

My laptop boots up ok, but there is nothing on the screen. I have tried rebooting, I have tried removing the battery. The screen looks like it is in sleep mode, but I cannot get it to return to normal.

Hello everyone,

hdmi is just not displaying any picture no matter what I do. I have it hooked up to an external monitor and I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers. I tried disabling/enabling the display in display settings. Tried rebooting several times. I'm not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever i plug in my charger my screen goes black and sometimes it backs to original position sometimes not. the same problem when i disconnect my charger is happening.

I am a user of Hp pavilion dv6-2114sa for more than 5 years already.

Basicly i have vga port and a hdmi port and i want to hook up 2 monitors either side of my laptop, but i have pluged them both in and i can only have 1 working at anytime not both monitors. Does this laptop support 2 external displays or only 1.

Purple and green dots on screen

Hey guys,

For a little while now, I have had green and purple dots come all over the screen. It randomly started happening and wasn't a cause of throwing it or anything. They come onto the screen, stay a while, disppear briefly and come back again. If it tap the keyboard area beside the mouse pad it makes them disppear for a little while.

I also have a line of white pixels from top to bottom on the left side of my screen, maybe a little over two inches in from the side. I called HP not long ago but they didn't really help me.

I cannot screenshot them so I'm thinking its a physical problem and not in the graphics software of the display.

Anyone got any ideas??? I'm over it!!

I have a Plasma LG Tv and want to hook it to my HP G60 laptop using HDMi cable. everytime I hook the two my laptop has a black screen and cannot project the images onto my TV. What is the problem? Someone told me that the moment I hook the two the screen of my TV should be able to receive images from the laptop but it hasn't work. One guy said I need to download drivers so what's the solution?

Hi Guys

I need your help, I have an Hp Elitebook 850 G1 which i use with a docking station Ultraslim with two external EliteDisplay E231 24" screens which are connected via Display . when my laptop goes to sleep obviously the screens goes to sleep as well but the issue is when i wake up the laptop, the laptop wakes up but the external screens stay off.

i then have to undock the laptop and re-dock it then press Fn+F4 and extend then they come on.

What I did

1. Uninstall the graphic driver and install them again both AMD Radeon HD 8750M and Intel(R) HD Graphic Family

2. updated both of the graphic driver current drivers AMD 14.301.1003.1003 Intel 10.18.10.3621

3. Installed the new Firmware v2.24.00

4. Played with the power setting nothing helps

Help with Resolution on External Monitor

I want to set my HP Envy 15t to drive an external monitor, not as an extension, but rather as my primary monitor. My external monitor is a Viewsonic VX2250, a little older, and requires that I use a HDMI-to-VGA adapter. (The Viewsonic also has DVI inputs...not sure it that would make a difference.) On my current tower setup, I use the monitor in its recommended (or native mode) setting of 1920x1080. I like this screen a lot.

The adapter is a Bytecc HM-VGA005 and the specs seem to suggest that it can handle a variety of video resolutions - Full HD (1080p), WUXGA (1920x1200 RB mode), and UXGA (1600x1200 VESA mode).

The 15t currently runs in the recommended resolution of 1366x768. If I understand the specs right, in HD mode it's 1366x768 and in FHD mode it's 1920x1080. The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics 4600. Is this the reason that I can only get HD resolution and not FHD resolution on the laptop?

But whenever I plug all this together and try and change the laptop screen resolution settings, the external monitor only shows 1024x768...pretty lousy. I have it so that the laptop screen is dark and only the external monitor is on. But there doesn't seem to be any choices I can make to improve this resolution. I've checked to see that the graphics driver is up to date and it is.

What do I do to get the best screen I can on the external monitor? Would buying a new monitor with HDMI inputs achieve better results? Do I need a different adapter?
