My function keys are working to control everything but F2 and F3 (screen brightness) I work alot on the computer and this Function key short cut is very handy. It just stopped working one day. All other F keys work.
What should I do?

reset to orig settings
I am not sure how, but I removed my adobe flash player and cannot restore or download it. I use to be able to watch TV and movies on comcast.net and now I get an error message that a flash player needs to be installed. The link that it gives me to install a flash player, will not allow me to. I am not very tech savy and I really dont like this windows 8 system. Can you help me download an adobe flash player for free.

Display colors too pale
I have recently purchased a HP 15-R205TU laptop.My problem is that the colors on the sceen look pale/unsaturated compared to other laptop screens. I have already tested this with ubuntu and with windows .Is it a firmware/ driver issue or is it normal for this model.

Brightness problem
i bought a new hp notebook and installed windows 8.1 pro, but when i click on brightness and a slider would pop up and I could change the brightness.
when i look for setting, the brightness is 'unavaliable'. (See pic
How do I ger this to work again? The brightness is starting to hurt my eyes.
P.S the brightness buttons on my keyboard (Fn+F2/F3) do not work either.

HP Pavilion dv6 - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Driver
Hi,
I've been trying to find the right driver for the grafic card over two fresh Windows 7 installs in the last 6 months, the last time I messed the laptop up and the screen was turning black when streaming videos on youtube, so I decided to start again from scratch.
There's allready a driver installed but I experienced some strange flicks while using Aero effect (same as the last fresh Windows install), the flicks only seams to affect the web browsers, and it only affects the top part of the window, it's like if the Aero Windows effect failed for a second and then comes back again.
I suspect the driver is not the right one, it's either a newer version o an outdated one.
I brought this laptop almost 5 years ago, it worked perfectly all this time, never toke it to get fixed and managed to fix most issues myself. I reinstalled Windows because the disk was full of trash files and I wanted to give the laptop a clean.
Laptop: "HP Pavilion dv6", below the keybord it's writen "HP Pavilion Entertainment PC".

I've seen how other users get the right drivers through this forum, hope someone will find the correct driver to make my laptop perfect how it used to be.

amd and intel
When i setup amd driver from hp support switchable graphic appear and i have fully control on my amd card but i face problem with sleep and wake up it gives me black screen after wake up and restart unexpectly
when i download lateast driver from amd support switchabe graphic disappeared and i couldnot manager my amd card any more and in the ccc window i canot found any option but sleep abd wake up work fine with no problem

another point that intel new driver on hp site doesnot work with me it gives me black screen and i should reinstall windows again

Evo N1015v and projector probjems
Did a OS re-install about 2 weeks ago.
All drivers are in, or at least so shows in the device manager.
Took the laptop out yesterday and hooked it up to our projector planning to show some photos.
The projector shows the starting process of the laptop normally.
But, when it came to the desktop of the notebook, the projector showed only the wallpaper of the desktop and would not show anything else, not even the taskbar nor the cursor.
Tried the F-keys and adjusted the monitor in the dialogue box, could not make it work.
Help, please?

Windows 8 AMD Dual Graphics Drivers for dv7-4060us
My issue is this, I have a dual graphics solution that includes a Radeon HD 4250 and a Radeon HD 5650. There is not an HP driver for my graphics cards and I am unaware of a solution to install the drivers on windows 8.

AMD card does not work, switchable graphics option is non-existent
greetings,
i am writing this with utmost frustration actually.
I updated catalyst control cented in november 2014, when prompted. Thats when it all went south.
The switchable graphics option disappeared from the "right mouse click menu".
And now my Intel Graphics card takes all the graphics load and the AMD video card seems to be non existent. I cant play my games like sniper elite 3 properly, the laptop heats up like an oven and i still cant figure out a way for it to work.
I tried installing the latest drivers and all.. no luck. Catalyst center does not even start. I went into BIOS settings to make graphics as fixed. And still it uses only the INTEL card.
I need help.. Badly.. Is there any way i can get the installation file of the driver and catalyst center with switchable graphics, which came installed in the laptop when i bought it ?? i mean the oldest version.. so that i bypass the effect of the updates.
i bought this laptop mainly for gaming, nd my rotten luck, that the AMD graphics card that i spend money on has stopped working..

Windows7 HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC - Aeros Issues

I'm having issues with my Aeros. There are blue/green vertical lines and picture/video distortions. I have tried to restore my notebook, didn't help. Troubleshooted through HP Support Assistant, found issues with my BIOS and Video card. Is there an update for theses that I can download and install?

FYI HP/NVIDIA Hybrid Graphics setting
Hello All,
Ok, not really a problem, but just wanted to share my experience... When and if you update the NVIDIA drivers(for me the GeForce 850m chip) make sure to DOUBLE CHECK the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, for the default graphics processor for a said program. (i.e. I am running Cities: Skylines game and began to run very choppy, turns out the setting somehow changed to a default of running the Intel HD 4xxx series chip instead of the nvidia). Just thought I would help solve a problem!

Black screen
Hi, all of a sudden my computer won't turn on properly?? The computer itself is on but cones up with a black screen and I can't do ANYTHING!!?? The lights are on the keyboard and it's full charged. I can't even turn it off?? HELP?!?!

Brand new HP 15-g094sa Blue Screen Error
! Ok so i got this laptop brand new from pc world 4 days ago. It came with win 8.1 already installed, and i had to use a usb stick to back up recovery before i used it. Now since i turned it on for the first time 3 days ago i keep getting a blue screen error

I have searched and installed driver updates, used hp assistant to look for updates, it found updates but they download then dont install and none of them are anything to do with graphics. Sometimes it doesnt do it for a few hours, but mostly its doing it every hour or even more frequently than that.
I am not too great wirh the technical side of things computer wise, some help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first exp of win 8.1, making it all the more confusing for me. Really not happy that this laptop has been doing this basically since it came out the box. Now i think it has just crashed while doing a windows update and its failed and basically froze on undoing changes. Really frustrating.

Does not light up/ just flickers
When I turn on my HP laptop, the screen illuminates barely and begins to flicker. The screen doesn't light up any further than that and I am unable ti use it. How can I fix it?

Flickering horizontal line
Hi i'm using the hp probook 650g1 for work and when I open matlab this flickering horizontal line appears. Is that normal?

Laptop easynote screen not readable
My screen on my laptop does not work when the lid is open more than 45 degrees. It is coloured Black but shows on. Not the black when it is off if that makes sense?
I noticed by chance as I was closing the laptop that the screen comes back to life as you are closing and at about 45 degrees I can see the windows 8 or the login screen. Anything further than 45 degrees and the screen is black....

problem with dual grafic
i've palivilion 14 n037tx dual grafic intel and Amd radeon
but when I install driver for Amd Radeon witn HD 8670m always have trouble.
Amd radeon undetected when I install game
on grafic Aplication like Photoshop CS6 or CorelDraw X5 event I have changed to maximum in Catalyst Control Center
sometimes when program running can be frezz or not responding.
any solution with my problem ??
