Have a DV7-1000 notebook with AMD processor. Want to order the correct motherboard but have no idea of part number, where to go etc. I am not tech savvy but this the notebook had issues with overheating and now does not come on. All lights and sounds show that it should be on but no display. From the research that i have done here seems like the motherboard is toast. HELP. please.

Dislplay driver issue
Hello , I have formated my System and installed windfows 7 Ultimate but after installing Graphics card drivers its get restart and screen goes blank .
After removeing graphic card driver from safe mode its working but the tempereture of system goes high and the system getting heat.
Please let us know what shoul i do further.

Black screen, cannot see anything.
I bought the laptop here in the US, the laptop is in Brazil now. It is having black screen issue. Called the local HP supprt center there. They said the laptop model is not supported in Brazil. They cannot help. The laptop is still under warranty. Why they cannot contact HP (US) to send the necessary parts to fix it?

HP Pavilion 14-n228ca, touch screen is not working
I have a problem with my laptop, the touch screen is no longer working.
I tried to look for solutions online, but nothing seems to work.
In control panel there is no option that can help me with this problem.
I made a print screen of how the pen and touch window looks like.
I even went for calibration, but the screen doesn't react to any touch.

HP site impossible, a nightmare to navigate
I'm trying to get my laptop in for a repair... The ribbon seems like it's worn down. You know, the white and colourful screen bit. Pretty common thing.
I tried to file a claim with Wal-Mart, where I bought it. Their response was that I didn't need to file a claim and to call HP. Hp quickly forced me to go to their website rather than speak to a person. After spending an hour on the website, not finding my laptop product clearly marked CND40710S6, I am pretty certain that Hp might be the most ignorant computer provider on the planet, or at least well versed in sucking around their customers who actually pay extra money for the warranty.

Cannot rotate screen orientation
I am attaching a second moniter and need to rotate the orientation that is displayed on that screen. The hot keys (ctrl+alt+arrows) don't do anything, and there is nothing in the control panel where the drop down option is supposed to be. This is true for the regular control panel and the intel control panel. See photos. I've tried updating to the latest hp graphics drivers and this does not seem to solve the issue.

BLACK SCREEN

Cyberlink YouCam Exposure bug????
So, I've found this problem posted a few times but it seems like either I'm having a slightly different problem, or that nobody with the same problem has realized what actually brought them to it.
I downloaded the software because my Skype video was quite dark, and I wanted to brighten the video to compensate. So I installed it, opened it up, and on the right, I found the "Video Enhancement section."
At first, I saw the brightness slider, messed with it a little...Then contrast, then ah, exposure. This was my mistake. Once you move the exposure slider on THIS setting (which says it's for the video feed within the software, it breaks your camera forever, or I assume, until a nice reformat. Not only will it not adjust ever again even as you slide it, but it never adjusted anything in the first place. It just, sent my video to pitch black.
Now, this can be *somewhat* worked around by going into the "Advanced" settings and selecting "Auto" for Exposure in the Camera Control tab, as well as enabling Low Light Compensation at the bottom. However, now my video looks even worse than before I downloaded the software.
Is there a fix for this? Or can there be? I'm going to go cry into my pillow now until I can video chat once again without having all the lights in my room on at the same time.
