Until recently, I had been pleased with my HP laptop Envy  and it has now been around 2 year since I've had it.  I noticed that the left and right hinge on the laptop had make some noice and become crack  and now  it's fall off everthyng. I've seen over the internet that this is a common problem with this laptop. I am wondering what can I do beacuse store that i buy will not take cost of this service ? I know it's no under warranty  when i deliver to store where i buy innn SIBA Kvadrat Sandnes, Norway but would I be able to send it to HP and have it repaired????

Product will not connect to my monitor all of a sudden. Up until recently it has worked fine, and the HDMI cable continues to work with my monitor and other devices. Now, when I connect to my laptop my monitor displays 'no signal' as if nothing is connected. It does seem to recognize when the HDMI has been plugged in, but still suggests no signal. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi.

 

I own a HP ENVY 15 notebook PC, That is 2 weeks old. I have switched this laptop on no more than 10 times. So it is reasonable to say it is brand new. However i am having problems with the graphics. Please see attached image.

 

 

 

 

Its pretty much like this with everything i do. I don't play games on this laptop. Excel, Autocad, Internet...

 

Alot of the time i get small white speckles on the screen. Especially when i hover over icons.

 

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Bought a usedHP Pavilion dv7 6c64nr. I had to install everything from scratch.

Need the link for graphics driver for Windows 7 (64 Bit) for dv 7 6c64nr.  

 

 

p.s When I searched it on the website, it'd only give me a link for AMD graphics driver, when i read the descritpion though it says it has intel HD. 

 

Please help.

Hello,

 

I just recently got the HP 15 Notebook PC and when I tried to watch a DVD, I inserted the DVD and a message popped up saying "Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 is currently running. Please close program to proceed." I went onto the task manager and closed everything, and tried again. Still no luck. Then, I shut down my computer and restarted my computer and tried again. The same message popped up. I searched for the Cyberlink PowerDVD app to close it, but when I tried opening it to close it, it read the same "Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 is currently running. Please close program to proceed." message.

 

I asked my sister and she tried the same stuff and nothing worked. So, she told me to download a media player from the internet. I did so and downloaded the VSO Media Player for free. I configured everything and when it started reading the DVD, a message reading "READ ERROR" popped up and then the VSO Media Player application closed. 

 

I've tried this several times, with no success. 

 

In conclusion, I would like to know how to close the Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 application on my computer so I can proceed to watch my DVD.

I am tring to downgrade my computers graphics card to this update https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24245&lang=eng&ProdId=3720 but every time I do it says it cant be done because there is a costum graphics card installed so what should I do?

Hi,

 

I formatted my harddrive and installed WIndows 7 (Pro x64) and downloaded all availlabe drivers from HP support for this model.

In device manager everything is recognised.

 

Everything works fine except that the 'special' Fn key's (brightness, volume, ...)  WORK (i can adjust brightness, volume, ...) but they don't show any notification on the screen. Also 'Caps Lock' is not showing on the screen (the led on the key does work).

 

Is there a driver i'm missing?

The model of my HP is a pavilion g6 (2278dx). Product # C9G72UA#ABA.

When I start my computer it allows me to log on, but once I ger to the desktop the screen continues to flash blue, then returns to the desktop, then flashes blue again, and continues this. I have read of others with this issue. I am NOT able to run device manager as it does not provide me with ample time to type anything or do anything. I attempted to restart it in safe mode (while it was booting pressing the f8 key, not sure if that is correct, or f10 for restore) but to no avail. Please help. Thanks!

I just turned my laptop on and got it all fixed up about a half hour ago and just now noticed a red dot in the center of the screen. I'm pretty sure its a pixel thats out or something. I was wondering if there is any way to fix it without me having to return my laptop so soon. I looked online a bit and found some programs but don't know which would be safe to download and also which would work.  So far i really like this laptop other than that darn red dot. I try to ignore it but my eyes get drawn to it. Please help if you can.

Hello HP Forums...
I use HP 1000-1432TU Laptop, with Intel Celeron Processor and just re install Windows Home Premium 64Bit.
My Keyboard work fine, also fn Key. I can adjust Brightness and sound volume with the key, also switch On/off Wifi.
But I can't see the animation of the key I Press...

Which Driver I should Download and Install?
I install HP Support Assistant, but no driver update available.

When I play videos in 1080p on Youtube they get static sounds and start lagging. Also the same thing happens on Netflix when I allow the best HD quality. I know it is not a problem with the internet because my other computers are able to play the videos fine. Also hardware wise this computer should be fine (task manager everything is under 50%). I have tried reinstalling flash but haven't come up with a fix yet. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Everytime I try to watch a video on my laptop, whether it is on Facebook or through Netflix all I get is a green screen.  But somehow i stil get the volume, just no picture, how can I fix this?

I left my laptop out in the cold (5-20 degrees) for about 2 hours.  When I started it up the sceen had lots of lines on it.  Some have faded, but will they go away, and if not does this mean a new computer?

When the cover is moved on the hinges, display flickers, lines appear and sometime display goes white.  becomes OK when you move again. The laptop is working otherwise.
