What happend with Loptop, when i switch on(push power button) Loptop dv7-1245dx (ati radeon hd 3200 video) the screen is black, but only two diodes is blinking (frequency 1time/2seconds) (do not swith on) after some minutes loptop can start working windows download or not.

HP Laptop connection to Viseo Smart TV
Where can I go to get "step by step" instructions on connecting my HP Pavillion g7 laptop to my Viseo Smart TV. I'm using an HDMI cable from the PC to the TV under HDMI 1, but cannot get the PC screen image onto the TV. I click on the source button on the TV to get HDMI, but am I supposed to be doing something to the PC, as well?

i can hear the sound but not the video
Hello i have a HP Pavilion dv7-6150eb with windows 7 , i just formatted my computer downloading every driver from your website and the latest Adobe Flash Player with the new IE11 and i have a problem with thevideosicanhear them butnot see them.
When i play a videoi get a blank screen with sound and ican only see youtube videosbutnot facebook or internet videos.
I already tried to uninstall adobe flash reader, take off the accelerateur, other suggestions from the forum and nothing works. I called hp and they said to me ask on this forum.
Then i uninstalled graphics driver hd intel graphics family and amd catalysr control paned and driver that i downloaded on this website.
So now i downloaded the latest amd catalyst crontrol panel and driver for my amd radeon (tm) hd 6490m on the amd.com website and i can see the videos on internet now but i had résolution from hd intel driver at 1600x900 that fits my screen perfectely and now i can only go maximum 1024x760 resolution that is not even on my screen.
Do you have any solutions for me please.

Hi 2 days ago i installed the new version of windows 7 ( windows update ) and after that i turned on my laptop again and after the welcome screen it just had an blackscreen i needed to turn it off and start it in safe mode and need to get it back on the status before the update in the error log stands i have the error 09oD or 090D ( cant really read it ) can someone help me? Need to disable Optimus
Hi, I hope someone knows a solution to this otherwise my shiny new laptop will have to go back!
I have just bought an HP Envy 17-j141na (running Win8.1). My problem is with the Optimus system which switches between the Integrated video and the discrete Nvidia video. I use a piece of software (OtsAV) which is uses the extended desktop to display karaoke words or video. It is ONLY compatible with AMD or NVidia graphics cards. When I bought this laptop, I did so based on the spec which said it has Nvidia graphics. I was not aware of the dynamic Optimus system which switches between the two to preserve battery life. I have no need to preserve battery life as I always run on ac power, and I have no need of Intel graphics, I want to completely disable the Integrated graphics and permanently use the Nvidia card, but apparently this is not possible. If I uninstall the Intel drivers the external display disappears completely. Apparently the Nvidia GPU still uses the Intel to transfer the signal. This is useless to me as my software thinks it's an Intel adaptor and reports incompatible hardware. My previous laptop also had dual graphics, but it gave me the option to use either to output the external display. I have tried setting the Nvidia control panel to prioritise the Nvidia GPU but it still uses the Intel. (Not sure why, but I suspect it does not recognize the exe of Ots as software)
If I am trying to do something which is impossible with this model, please tell me now, I'll have to return it as it is basically an expensive paperweight at the moment.
NB. Please don't bother to post if you don't know the answer, I don't need to hear that I'm MAD for wanting to do this thing that no one else has ever wanted. Just assume that I'm not a moron and I DO require this laptop to do what I want it to do.

opearting system : windows 8 ( manifacture OS )
recently, i got error message " No AMD graphic driver is no installed or the driver is not functioning properly ...."
and in the device maneger>>display adapters i saw (!) mark on both adapters
so i made my life's mistake and went to a normal market to fix it and they formatted it and installed windows 7 and the error has gone but the man was not skilled enough to tell if the graphic card is still working or it has been dameged
please note : the manifacture graphic driver is AMD or as its written in my laptop READON so when i used to right click before the fix i had options in the amd graphic card but now i have intel graphic driver i believe when i right click
ALTHOUGH THE MAN DIDN'T PLAY WITH THE HARDWARE .. he has just formatted and i guess installed a new driver
the question is : how do i know that the driver is working properly .. is there a way to test it .. do i have to re-install the previous reasdon graphics ? is there anything wrong here .. am really sorry for making this long but please help

How can I have the built-in internal display and both external monitors operating at the same time, with desktop extended across all three?

HP dv4-5110us ; No LED-backlight display
Hello all,
I have a dv4-5110us notebook. I have been having this issue for the last week with the display. There seems to be no backlight for the screen...if I shine a light into the screen, I can still see that some display is alive.
Other than that, i have it hooked up to my external monitor all the time, which defeats the purpose of a notebook. I searched around and heard it may be a power inverter issue, failing to provide light to the screen. However, I opened the outter shell of the screen and there seems to be no inverter in the "usual laptop inverter area".
I also did a clean restore, meaning it is not a BIOS or software issue (that may be turning the brightness off), right?
If the costs to fix it extend to the LCD or something expensive, I'm just gonna invest in another computer.

Hi guys, can somebody help me fixing my problems regarding with my new HP Pavilion 15-n203sx, Windows 8.1 64bit with Intel HD Graphics and Nvidia Geforce GT 740M.
I noticed that my laptop is not using the Nvidia graphics card when playing games (like Dota2 and 2K14) and it is using the Intel HD graphics card instead. I checked the "Device Manager", under "Display Adapter" and Nvidia was there and it is said there that it is working properly but it seems it is not working when i play games.. There are flickering lines showing on the screen while in the game.. I tried reinstalling it and then I updated it to the latest version which is compatible with Windows 8.1, then I checked the device manager again and Nvidia appeared under the "Display adapters" and both Intel and Nvidia were enabled so I disabled Intel and left Nvidia enabled. Then I tried opening the Nvidia Control Panel and got an error message saying "You are not currently attached to an Nvidia GPU". When I check the settings for the display, it says the driver is "Microsoft Basic Display Driver" now instead of Intel. Why isn't Nvidia connected? I don't get it. What's the problem? Can somebody please help, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could.
I also would like to ask about something else I've noticed. When opening almost any program like Skype or Chrome, the text and the whole window has a sort of blurred effect to it. the text looks small and thick and fuzzy. Does this also have to do with the graphics card or is it something else?

elitebook 840 - Webcam showing balck screen and not preview
Hi All,
I have a new Elitebook 840 G1 laptop with Windows 8.1 pro installed.
When I try to use the camera app IT opens up, the light indicator of the webcam also lights up but the screen remains black and does not show any preview as it should.
If I do take a picture then it works and it would also record video, but I cannot see anything in the preview
I have made sure I installed all windows updates
deleted the imaging device from device manager and rebooted to discover it again
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the HP support web site
Nothing has changed this behaviour
Any help would greatly be appriciated

g7 Pavilion Screen works on Startup but not when logged in
I am using an HP Pavilion g7 Series laptop. I have no problems with the display until todya. When I turn on the pc, the bakclight works, and I am taken to the login page. When I login to my account, the screen goes blank, with the backlight still on.
I am logged in normally, but nothing shows up on the display. I have the laptop connected to a 2nd display, and it is working completely normally.
While the display was blank, I used ctrl+alt+del to go to the task manager. When I did that, the homescreen flashed on, and it took me to the options for task manager, users, etc. like it normally would. What would be causing this, and how can I fix it?
I am running Windows 8.1 on the laptop.

Random Screen Movement
Hello all,
I bought the 1 TB HP Envy 17" running windows 8. About a week later the touch screen started to randomly make selections. You can see the swipe trails on the screen going everyware. I tried to update all drivers that may have any relation to the screen and touchpad but everytime I try they say that they are all up to date. THis is an intermitant problem, but when it happens my laptop is useless. Ive even tried powering it down removing the battery and draining any risidual power, but still have had no luck. I also disabled the touch pad and have been using an external mouse with no luck. THis has been a problem for over 7 months. I cant take it anymore!

HP Pavillion x2 Detachable Screen
Screen keeps turning on and off!!!
Recently just purchased, everything was working great. One morning while using it (laptop form) the screen gave out, ONLY THE SCREEN, but it would come on and off every few seconds (It can stay up to 10 -15 min with out coming back on).
I plugged in the HDMI cable to see what was going on... Everything else is working fine, no display errors. Just the screen!!
I called HP support we did a BIOS update. Everything was good after that, kept working for a couple of hours (5) and then it gave out again. I did the BIOS update but this time it didn't solve the issue.
Please HELP!!
