Blue Ray does not work on my new HP ENVY 15T Touchscreen with Win 8. Disc Drive is a DVD RW SU 208FB
The documents says this laptop has a blue DVD burner. I assume then that it can also read a blue ray disc. I am trying to watch a blue ray movie does not work. Is it not capable? Is there anything I can do or just remember to not rent blue ray movies?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW this is the first time I have tried using the DVD drive.

display brightness not reducing for my hp notebook.

my display brightness is not reducing. my key board buttons are working fine and i also tried to reduce the brightness from the control panal options also. but it is still not reducing. please provide me a solution as soon as possible. if it is a problem of driver, kindly provide me the driver name and the link for downloading it.

I bought hp compaq 15-s103tx 2days ago. I have installed win 8.1 , but i am unable to adjust brightness level. Its showing brightness settings unavailable. Guide me to solve that prob. Any drivers should i have to downlod ? Or is this in built fault ?

HP ENVY 15-j012eo White random white screens
Hello.
Recently i had a problem where the screen turns white. My temp solution is to put it into sleep right away and wake it up, and then i can continue until it does it again witch right now seems to be about every 10-15 min. It also seems to happen more and more.
I've had it taken apart and cleaned everything inside and i've also checked the temp witch seems to be fine.
I'm clueless at this point.

Hi can some one help me, every frist boot the screen turns white, and few minutes start to come back to normal the display, this only happen on frist boot when is coold or come back from sleep mode....
This also happen on the bios menu.

Cannot connect Daewoo TV to laptop
Hi,
I am trying to connect my Daewoo TV to my HP laptop (HP250 with windows 7, Product number: G6G28PA#ABG, Windows operating system: 64-bit) using an HDMI cable. When I do this, the TV has audio but no visual - the screen is blank.
Any suggestions?

Video drivers for HP Probook 450 G0
Hi.
Yesterday i installed window 7 on my labtop (HP Probook 450 G0) and video drivers from HP Probook 450 G0 drivers.
Video card was recoginzed by windows as AMD Radeon 8750M but still didnt work (error code 43 in Device Manager).
Can someone help me please?

Error Code 0x116 when recovery install for dv6-3120ew is made - HELP !!

I have a problem with HP DV6-3120ew with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 and ATI ARDEON 5470 HD.
I decided to preinstalled system to new, so I start recovery procedure.
1) I formatted disk C:
2) recovery start unpack files to disk
3) instalation was start, one reset done
4) after restart HP INstallation start install drivers
So right now Blue Screen swhow with code error 0x00000116 and after that sytem restart - loop !!
all the time restart and blue screen ...
I start procedure recovery two times and this same happend.
I used command line and read that system use ATI drivers 8.741.1.1000.
If I start system in Safe Mode Windows can't finished installation and ask me for start sytem as normal.
When I replace atikmpag.sys for vga.sys for standard VGA drivers I receive info that windows can't finished installtion and I have to start installation again.
When after F8 button I try to use VGA resolution - I see black screen without any errors. But system still using I think ATI drivers just resolution is VGA.
So System doesn't work at all.
Right know I want to replace drivers from ATI to standard VGA, how I can do this ?

AMD Graphics driver problem
MY laptop HP G4 1200-tx, by default it's loaded with windows 7 64 home basic & graphics driver AMD Radeon HD 6470.
Recently I changed to win 8.1 pro 64,, now in device manager-display adapter it shows AMD Radeon HD 7400 series.
I tried to update it says updated.
I tried AMD catalyst autodetect same reply with recomend "amd catalyst omega 14.12 without dotnet45 win 64 bit".
I am confuse much what to download & install because some games i tried didn't run
whereas it run good previously?? please help!!

poor video playback and high-temperature on HP Stream 14
Device is HP Stream 14, which is based on the AMD A4 Micro-6400T with Radeon™ R3 Graphics at 1GHz. All software and drivers are the current stable releases. My problem is choppy video playback when streamed over the web.
Observations during Silverlight video playback:
1. AMD Catalyst displays CPU clock setting min:800 & max:1000
2. Core Temp displays CPU clock speed fluctuating between min:500 & max:900
3. Core Temp displays CPU temperature above 61C (HP Stream has no cooling)
4. Windows 8.1 & Core Temp both display CPU load of about 40-50% spread evenly over 4 cores
5. Windows 8.1 displays network load at about 35% (Internet connection is fibre at 30Mb/s)
6. Memory usage is about 1.5Gb (HP stream has only 2Gb RAM)
*. Default settings result in blurry video that pauses every 5 seconds. To correct this poor experience, I tried the following tweaks:
Using AMD Quick Stream, I gave video/audio and the URL a high-priority. This improved the image quality but had no impact on the choppy playback.
Using MSIE Internet Options, I disabled GPU hardware rendering and this resulted in smooth playback.
So I found some tweaks that show the HP Stream 14 can achieve smooth silverlight HD playback, but now the temperature of the plastic case continually rises until it is uncomfortable to hold, so its not a good fix.
I think any current computer (including micro-APUs) should playback video smoothly without getting very hot. Is there a problem with current HP/AMD video drivers, and which settings can help to correct the choppy playback problems without causing the machine temperature to continually rise?

when ever i try to install intel drivers it says " this computer does not meet the min requirements for installing the software " i tried every updated intel drivers but it is not working..
and amd drivers is not recognizing i tried manually also through device manager but nothing happed ...
only it is working on standard VGA graphics adapter ...
i tried through safe mode method also but nothing happening ..

hp pavilion entertainment pc display problem
when i am starting the lap the black screen is appearing green and there is a shades of pink when desktop appears and green colour continues
display is working good when it is kept at low angle.
when i connected to separate monitor it is working good

HP ENVY k058ca Intel HD4600?

I'd like to use Intels Graphic Drivers that are version 10.18.10. 3690 and they seem to be giving me 2x-2.5 times better FPS and way more option settings. The only thing I notice is that it reports I only have 1Gig of Video Memory when it should report 2Gigs Video Memory!
The Drivers for my unit are from HP and are only Version 10.18.10.3574! When will HP have the drivers updated to latest version? I just bought this computer and am thinking of returning it if HP isn't a company that keeps their drivers current?

Pavilion dm4 inverter failure?
I have owned this laptop since new and have been pretty happy with it. Recently it started giving me trouble when I open the lid to resume. The screen is black with vertical white and sometimes solid color lines. (see picture)
Please excuse the reflection from the window in the background.
I talked to an independent service person and he seems to think that the inverter is bad. My hesitation with him replacing this part is that if I press power (resume standby) then power back (resume), the screen will often work fine. Sometimes it takes 8+ times of doing this.
Is it worth investing to just see if it needs a new inverter? I would just buy a new laptop, but I am not a fan of Windows 8. Would much rather just keep 7 on this machine until Microsoft releases their next great idea.

I get messages like "amd video driver stopped and restarted". After 3-4 messages, I get the blue screen with memory dump and system halt. the reason is "video driver cannot be restored"

and now my amd graphics are not dectecting by the os ..
