i just reinstalled windows 8.1 (64-bit) and my PC cant find the AMD graphic card , it can only find the Intel HD ,
when i run dxdiag.exe i cant find the render tab where i used to find the AMD card , i redownloaded the driver and reinstalled it and still nothing , i used HP recovery to reinstall the driver again didnt work either , in devic manger under display adapters i cant only fine the intel HD graphics 4600 ,

HP Envy HDMI Cable Not Seeing Samsung Monitor
I have a HP Envy and a HDMI calbe going to a Samsung monitor. It has been working fine. I plugged it back in after using the laptop off-site for two days and it does not work. I have swapped out HDMI cables and tried a VGA cable, Any ideas?
I'm not convinced it is re-installing the drivers.

Envy 17 j0-40 ec low gaming performance
Hello,
I am running Windows 8.1, all drivers updated including BIOS. 100+ GB free space on disk, defragmented. I bought this laptop few months ago and in this time I found out I can't play most of the games because of really poor performace. I checked minimum requirements and I pass even for recommended with 2GB Nvidia 750M, 8GB RAM and i7 4702MQ (2,2GHz 4 core). I did not overclock anything.
The thing is, I usually get only about 5fps even on lowest settings and lower resolution. And if I am able to play the game (Watchdogs on 15 fps lowest settings), I get low RAM warning after some time. I get this warning with 4-5GB RAM used, so plenty of more to spare.
I did lots of cleaning, even reintalling but with no luck. I still get the same results.
I also have really bad overheating issues (now 51°C on GPU without anything running, 0% GPU load). I keep my laptop on cooling stand all the time, but I think, this is not the cause of my problems, because I do not experience fps drop while playing, it is stable low fps. I am able to run GPU on 100%.
Great example of weird behavior is game called Minimum. It's requirements are quite low (Windows 7 32-bit, 2GHz CPU, 2GB memory, a DX10-compatible video card and 350MB of hard drive space.) but I still can't get it running properly. I get GPU load 100% all time on 750M but still around 5fps only, which is ridiculous.
I suppose it is windows 8.1 reated but I have no idea how to fix it.

Pavilion laptop HDMI to Projector VGA port not working
I have recently bought HP Paviilion laptop with screen touch display (model # RT3290). This laptop only has HDMI out put which works fine with my big screen TV (HDMI to HDMI). I am trying to connect my Projector that has a VGA port using HDMI to VGA adapter but having no luck. My Projector works fine with other laptops using their VGA out put. Any advice?

ATI RADEON HD 5430
I have a laptop G62 with and ati radeon HD 5430 graphic card. Every time I attempt to open a youtube video the it shuts off. Just the screen! lately, during one of this events the screen turned on again and it showed a message saying that the video card had to be restarted.
Is it fixable or I need to repalece the card?

When on Facebook I see the initial picture of video but it immediately disappears. When trying to view any news item or clip I hear audio but no video. My Envy 15T-J100 came with a nVidia sticker but has no nVidia GPU
Hello,
As the title says, my laptop, an Envy 15t-j100 came with a nVidia sticker but cant find the gpu in device manager, I want to know if HP is selling laptops with this sticker and not having the GPU inside, because then this is fake advertising and you got an angry customer.
I would like to know if any other person is experiencing the same and of course want a HP customer rep to answer because this is not serious bussiness from HP.

g7 backlight turns off when screen opened past 45 degrees
Title pretty much sums it up. Friend brought me a g7 with a faulty backlight. When the screen is opened past around 45 degrees, the backlight cuts out. If you look closely, the LCD is still displaying a picture.
I'm thinking either an intermittient wire or a bad closed-lid sensor, but I was wondering if anybody here has encountered this issue before.

AMD Radeon 6770m and Intel HD 3000 Driver for Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit

Laptop : HP Pavilion DV 6 - 6019 TX.
OS : Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit.
VGA : - AMD Radeon 6770m
- Intel HD 3000
Now, the graphic was error, each after booting, the windows logo appears then to black screen (can't get the desktop).
In device manager - display adapters, only AMD problem (Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), then I uninstall the driver to be able to install AMD drivers.
I tried with "14-4-mobility-win7-Win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-WHQL", it is said that the last AMD drivers, but when at the end of install, it said failed to complete.

Bluish tint on HP laptop.
Hello guys, I own the HP PAVILION 15-E009TU notebook. It is just 10 months old. I had some grey lines in the LCD screen few days ago and called hp for warranty replacement. a technician came and replaced the LCD screen with a new one.
However the new screen has a sort of Blue tint the entire screen. I have tried different colour setting which may fix it in windows but the blue tint is still there when windows is booting up and in the BIOS. I mean what? Did I just get a faulty/refurbished screen again? Also the screen doesn't look HD like my original screen. Is there anyway to verify that I got the exact model screen I originally had? and what about the blue tint? should i try warranty again?

Crashed display in the bag , would warranty afford it ?
Hello everybody , I was carrying my HP Envy 6-1110et in my HP Backpack.I am sure nothing happend.However when I launched my PC I saw my display crashed from the left side of the display.
Device still has warranty but I don't want to pay for the new display at all , because It's not my fault.I know crashed displays are usually users' fault but thats surely different situtation.
Would my warranty afford this new display ? What do you guys think ?

Week old laptop with Windows 8.1 giving blank screen at Startup
I have a HP Laptop. I don't know the exact model number but it has the following configuration :- Intel Core-i5 4210u
1.7Ghz Processor, Nvidia 820M GPU and 4GB RAM. It came preinstalled with Windows 8.1
Now this is my problem :-
Whenever I power-up the laptop by using the power-button, I get the Windows 8 logo and than instead of the login-screen it
gives me a black screen. Its not even a black screen, the display is exactly as it is when the laptop turned off(nothing
at all on the screen). But I know that the laptop is running because the power button and caps-lock key is illuminated.
Now I discovered that in order to get to the Login Screen, I have to manually close the lid and open it. This however does
not work everytime. How can I fix it.
Please someone help me. It is a new laptop and I can't return it because I bought t from a different country

I cannot get HDMI to work on my ENVY SmartTouch 17
Hi, I am trying to get HDMI to work on my HP Envy 17" Smarttouch (17t-J100 series) with WIndows 8.1.
I look in the Device Manager and I don't see an HDMI device.
I do see HDMI audio.
Video is with the Intel 4600 series adapter.
If I attach the HDMI cable to the notebook and turn on the TV (Visio 32") the notebook will see another monitor, but it is unknown and the TV will simply display no signal. I do have the correct HDMI port selected on the TV for the cable.
There should be an entry for HDMI in the device manager under video correct?
