Hello, I have a display problem with my HP ENVY m6-1310sa Notebook operating on Windows 8. I have had the laptop for nearly 12 months now and this problem has persisted for too long for me to accurately remember, I think at least 6-7 months. I'm not sure if I downloaded something which acted as a catalyst. Basically there are three displays issues:
1) The display changes brightness seemingly randomly when the laptop is disconnected from the adaptor. I can still use my laptop but it is getting really annoying now and is a strain on my eyes.
2) In general, the quality and colour of images have decreased since I first purchased my laptop, everything is slightly too bright and the contrast is not very well defined.
3) Scroll bars sometimes randomly disappear until I click and drag them, sometimes all I have to do is hover my mouse over where the scroll bars should be which makes them appear again. This happens on internet browsers as well as other programs including games.
Drivers are all up to date and even if they weren't this problems has persisted through all the updates I have done since purchasing the laptop.
