I found that there are no windows 8 or above drivers listed on HP support page for the model dv6-6185ex . Its a high end model with i7 pro, 8 gb ram , 2gb ati graphics. Kindly help me with appropriate drivers , especially the ati 6770m graphics card driver
I just realized recently that my notebook doesnt have the adapter that was promised when i bought this notebook.
it says my adapter is the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, but i have an Nvidia GEFORCE sticker on my laptop. I'm pretty sure i was supposed to receive a NVIDEA graphics card.
I am running windows 8.1
Ive been trying for a while to fix the problem, but i dont know what to do! Someone suggested new drivers but I dont know which ones to download!!

I get strange graphical tearing and or lines when playing certain games, and they were running fine about 2-3 weeks ago
Yesterday, i bought a notebook. When i connect with my TV and watch video. it is not definition. I ask for my friend. he told me that get a hdmi converter from hdgenius.com and use hdmi converter make signal become hdmi,Then it will become high-definition and watch perfect video. It is OK ?
Hi have recently upgarded to windows 8.1, when the problem started.
1) when my system wakes up from "sleep mode", it restarts the system with the error "video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error" with blue screen.
2) I am unable to install the AMD graphics drivers provided by HP, it says an error at the end.
3) Win 8.1 dried up battery very soon then win 8
4) The HP CoolSense Technology, is unavailiable for win 8.1, which was working great in win 8 (keeps the pc super cool).
I know, there are so many questions, request someone to please help me.
I have an older 17" dv7 1428ca that has developed the black screen issue but with specific symptoms that don't seem exactly the same as most posts I've read about the issue.
Like most cases, the laptop powers on, runs the fan and hard drives but does not give an image on the screen. I get the caps and num lock LEDs flashing the 1 blink, CPU or hardware failure error code. However, if I wait between 5 and 7 minutes the computer will eventually provide screen display and function perfectly normal until it sleeps or shuts down and the process begins again. When I try the hard reset method, 50% of the time it starts up normally and with no blinking lights, but returns to the previous state on the next shut down/sleep.
Any ideas on what could ve causing this? It's annoying, but (so far) not fatal.

Out of nowhere the brightness of the screen of my laptop can't be changed and is stuck to the lowest level... I can't control the brightness neither via the keybord nor via the windows enviroment...

I just had my screen cracked just by the edge and it has made it unable to reflect anything, what can I do and what can be the cost.

While playing a light game splinter cell chaos theory, a message appeard which stated:
DRIVER_ERROR_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL(something like that!).
After that my computer restarted after collecting some info.
It restarted and from then all my games run slow..
I played Devil may cry 4 at ultra settings and recorded the fps with fraps which was about 40...

My Windows 7 64 Bit Touchsmart crashed some time ago and i successfully fixed the system, it needed a new hard drive.
Everything on the notebook is fine except the stylus pen. The screen responds to my finger touch but does not respond to the pen at all.
I purchased a genuine replacement HP stulys pen, same problem!
I checked device manager and no problems.
I don't think these pens carries batteries because i am not seeing anything to unscrew or maybe I am wrong?
Am i missing a driver for the pen itself?

To my unspeakable irritation, the brightness of my EliteBook 8570w screen with Nvidia K1000 adapter keeps changing while working. The more white the screen has, the brighter it gets. When the screen has dark colors on it, it dims. It was raised after upgrading to Windows 8.1. This is not solved by tampering with the power options. also stopping a sensor service does not solve it. How can I get rid of this very, very, VERY unwanted “feature” ?

the screen just turning off.so i see everything black,but the computer is still on.
In addition ,i payd attention that the laptop is mostly Hot.
and when i tryed to play a game ,the computer made that reaction of shuting down the screen

I'm having trouble finding a video or a graphics driver for a hp pavilion dv8315nr notebook pc The product and model number is EZ580UA#ABA the version of windows in my computer is windows 7, my computer has completed all of its important Windows Updates. I have updated my HP drivers using the hp support system, it is an on-going, or recent issue.

Had to format my hard disc and reinstall Windows XP, then upgraded to Win 7. Windows has generic VGA driver that's OK, but it can't run any copmplex videos that it used to be able to run. I know it's 5 years old, but everytime I download stuff for the "specs" listed on websites (incl. HP, thank you), I can't get anywhere. I'm sure there have been more than one video card integrated into the board, but I don't know where else to turn!

My HP Envy, which I have the one year basic warranty on, was involved in a recent car accident in which I was ran off the road by another car. The accident, which I have no fault in, or the rescue team throwing the computer from my back seat have cracked the screen. The computer still works but the screen is cracked and the touch is no longer responsive. Is this covered under the warranty just to replace the screen or do I need to purchase replacement parts on my own? Thank you.
i have pavillion 15 core i5 and nvidia geforce 740m and i would like to see 3d movies through out full hd and 3d projector so can i do that while the screen of myh laptop it dose not support 3d ?
and if not what what the solutions to be able to see 3d movies o my projector

I just got a new HP Envy 15t Touch laptop with a Intel 4600 video card. The built-in monitor of this laptop is 1920x1080. However, when I hook up with my Dell U2713HM monitor using HDMI port, it can not reach the max resolution of 2560x1440 WQHD in my external Dell U2713HM.
After a lot research, i confirmed Intel 4600 video card can support as high as DisplayPort*/HDMI- 3840x2160@ 60Hz, 4096x2304@24Hz, VGA, and my HDMI cable is version 1.4, which can support 2560x1440 too.
really don't know why my Dell U2713HM stay only 1920x1080. I really don't wanna watch only 1080p on a luxury monitor.
it would been nice if some can help
