HDMI Port Problem
H,
I have a HP Envy dv7 running Windows 8.1 and until recently my HDMI connection to the various TV sets in my home has been ok. But recently problems have been occurring. The TV screen flickers badly, audio problems and sometimes it says No Signal. I have used several differnet HDMI cables so i know it is not the cable, it can only be the HDMI port I believe. I don't think it is wear and tear as the Laptop is only about 16 months old, but if it is cannot the port be replaced?

HP envy TOUCHSMART ghost touch at right middle!
after an hour on two on my laptop i see ghost touches on the notebook!! i have replaced the screen once and it seems to happen again.. any way i can stop that other then disabling touch!! seriously whats the use of buying touchscreen if you have to disable it

HP laptop won't let me change lock screen or account picture
I went to change my pictures for the lock screen and the account and everytime I try to change it, it gives me a message saying "Account/Lock screen picture error. Setting the account/lock screen failed. Please try again." I'll try to put the default pictures just to see if that would work and no matter what I do, it will not change. It's so aggravating. What can I do?

Compaq presario turns on but screen is black

How do I get a higher resolution on external displays using a HP Split 13-f010dx x2?
I just bought a HP Split 13-f010dx x2. I tried connecting my 27 inch Dell U2711, which has a max resolution of 2,560x1,440. I tried using just HDMI to HDMI, but that only allowed me to go up to 1920x1080, so I tried using a DVI-D adapter, and that only allows 1680 x 1050. Is there any way to get 2560x1440?

AMD Radeon Graphic Card 8670 not working on my Pavillion 15 notebook n259tx win8.1
i recently purchased the above notebook and tried to play some games but i am getting error that my graphic card drivers are either not installed properly or they are missing altogether, i had installed drivers from AMD's autodetect driver tool. Earlier i had installed AMD drivers from windows update but the problem still exists. In the game i am getting memory insufficient error, unable to change graphics and display settings. Game crashes giving me error message as to update my AMD graphic drivers.

HP envy x2 output to second screen
Hello,
I am having trouble with my HP Envy x2 when using an HDMI/VGA adapter. It does not send a signal to the secondary screen. The HP definitely picks up that the cable is plugged in, but it is as if the driver isn't working properly. I have checked for driver updates but it is rather frustrating as the device manager thinks that it has the latest driver installed.
I have run the Intel driver update utility (which by the way cannot rind in Chrome 8.1 app, but must be run in Chrome desktop mode!?) and it just shows this:

I have tried to find the graphics driver on Intel's site but the device manager only lists the driver as "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (Version 9.14.3.1177) and searching for updates seem to require and additional code such as 3150 or 3600 or 600. So this really didn't help much.
In addition it says "An Intel device was detected but your operating system is not supported by this utility. Please visit Download Center to look for available software" but this really does not help much either because I don't know what I am looking for.
What is most frustrating is that it sometimes works without any problems, and other times it just does not work at all and on other occasions it connects to the secondary screen or projector bu then freezes up and I have to do a power cycle to get it to respond, which is usually followed by a Sorry we have run into some trouble, please wait while we collect information afterwhich we will restart your computer" and some or the other error code relating to a graphics driver for sys32.
Any ideas as to how to solve this issue?

My brightness display is not visible in the screen while adjusting the brightness
I m having an HP pavilion G62016-TX with Windows7 ultimate with 64 bit version,Purchased on Nov'2012.
Recently my PC crashed and when it was reinstalled with all drivers from HP FTP i am having below problems.
When i am adjusting my brightness , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
When i am adjusting my sound , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
Please provide solution.

I too have the same issue with the toucpad of my new 14-K102TX.
I think is there is some defect with the touchpad or the software. I have installed the latest drivers. Still the problem is not solved. The cursour would jump from one palce to another even while using the two finger scroll. This is really frustrating.
I feel sorry for myself.
What am I supposed to do now?

Driver Problem AMD Radeon HD 6400M Series on HP Pavilion g6
i recently bought a new hard drive. I installed a windows 7 32 bit on it. I also intalled the necessary drivers (i individually searched them on HP support then download and install them). but i seems to have a problem with my graphics card.
In my device manager the AMD radeon HD 6400M Series has an alert icon next to it. Although the Standard VGA graphics adapter (which was also on the display adapter tab) has no alert icon.
Does this mean i have to download an AMD radeon HD 6400M series driver? If yes, can you please provide a link.
I cant also adjust my screen brightness, so i suspect it is related to my graphics card driver problem. is it?

Hi my name is Andre, I am struggleing to find updated drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 6770m 2GB graphic card.
The latest games of today has problems with my current drivers some of them doest even run.
I realy need to know if there is any new drivers because i only use this notebook for games.
The games that can actually run has glitches and bombs out now and then, that is not a very nice gaming experience.
I dont use desktop pc's anymore because it became a hastle to move arround when joining LAN gaming.

Graphics works till desktop start up menu,then laptop Shuts down
I m using a compaq presario cq-61 312-tu,tx.i m having a problem with my video card, when i enable my graphic driver my system starts normally till the log in menu and shuts down immediately with blue screen error,so should i change my video adapter or procedure to install the drivers to my laptop(if driver problem),so what should i do?n this all happened because when i was away to other place due some work,my brother has updated the bios..so i need exact bios driver that was installed to my laptop

HP TrueVision HD uninstalled itself some how and now my webcam wont work!

I was in the middle of a video call on skype today, when my webcam randomly dropped out. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldnt work. I restarted my computer, and tested my webcam via YouCam, to find my webcam had changed its name from "HP TrueVision HD" to "SPCA2082 PC Camera". Since this happened, my webcam wont work.
There is a light next to the webcam that turns on when the camera is active. This still turns on however no image comes up. I tried updating my computer software (Windows 8 to Windows 8.1), Uninstalling and reinstalling YouCam, Updating the driver software from the Device Manager (it says its all up to date with software last made in 2006?) and selecting the "scan for hardware changes" options with no luck.
I have tried the HP Recovery Manager. No Webcam drivers come up in the list for "reinstalling". I performed a system restore but it would only take me back an hour to when I reinstalled YouCam. I have tried every single method on this forum and nothing has worked!

Sorry for the trouble, I am chasing a ghost that is driving me bonkers. HD failed in our DV6-6c47CL.. replaced with a crucial solid state and performed a clean installation of Windows 7 (64) home premium. The Standard VGA Graphics Adapter gives the code 10. I have had the SM Bus Controller issue which it look slike we have gotten solved and as a parallel issue the built in webcam is erratic at best when using skype. The light goes on for the webcam and yet skype tells me it cannot find a one. Then the light stays on...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
