I cannot turn on my HP Notebook 2000. It won't or can't get passed the start up point. I get a black screen with the hp logo and the little circle below as if it were loading. It was working fine. Don't know what happened. Tried hard reset...nothing. Any advice?
what typw of hdmi connection does the elitebook folio 1040gi ue? nothing fits it.

I've got a EliteBook 840 G1 with the AMD Radeon HD 8750 and the Intel HD Graphics adapter both enabled, and using the ultra slim docking station with external montiors connected to the Display ports. if I run Dxdiag it indicates the Intel graphics are being used, how do I enable the AMD graphics controller to be the main dosplay device?

I upgraded my 6910p to windows 8.1 from Vista, however I cannot get the display to "extend" using an RGB cable and external monitor nor using S video and an HDTV. I have a "Generic PnP monitor" and "Microsoft basic display adapter."
What can i do to fix? I guess video card needs upgraded? Is that even possible?
i have a hp pavilion dv 1049cl model i upgraded to windows 7. i got all drivers installed except video controller driver it a xp driver. i tried to install it with windows compatability it installs but when i restart it goes back to standard vga. is there another driver i can use it a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controllers Driver i tried to install other models at no avail. any help will be appreciated

My laptop is currently up to date with your software (9.18.10.3324) for Intel HD 4600, however - not up to date with Intel's Iris drivers (15.33.22.64.3621) - what gives?
My current issue is attempting to load DayZ using the ATI (in Switchable Graphcis Settings) High Performance Settings, which i've set everything to default to "High performance" but it defaults to software settings (Intel HD 4600) instead of the builtin AMD Radeon HD 8600/8700M. I've attempted to disable hybrid graphics in BIOS, which takes away the option for the AMD chip once i return back to windows so that was a dead end. I've attempted to add the applciation as "high performance", which did nothing. I've attempted to update my outdated drivers to Intel's release but they don't "match my system"
How can I disable the Intel HD 4600 so the only video card running on this laptop is the Dedicated Graphics Card?

When using the 2013 UltraSlim Docking Station (D9Y32AA) with the Folio 1040 G1 how many Monitors can it run?
The HP Product Bulletin for the Folio 1040 says the Dock can support 3 displays. There are 2 x Display Ports and 1 x VGA, but can these all be driven at the same time and can they extend across all three?
Or if there are 2 monitors connected via the Display Ports can the laptop screen also be active?

My pavillion dv7 will not boot up. i can hear fan running but it will nit open. I have tried to go into recovery system but ti no avail. Black screen.
I am trying to connect two Asus V-238H-P monitors to my laptop. I have had just one of the monitors in the past and got the second today. I connected the first one to my laptop with the VGA cable and it worked wonders. Now, since the HDMI and VGA ports are too close together on the notebook to use them simultaneously, I got a VicTsing USB 3.0 to VGA adapter to use for one and am using HDMI for the other. The problem is that the monitor connected to the adapter is not getting a signal. When I power on the monitor it says " NO VGA SIGNAL" and goes to sleep. The monitor connected to the HDMI is working fine.
I don't know if the adapter is the problem or if the USB port is the problem. When I go into the Screen Resolution (Windows 7 64-Bit) window, it can detect the display on VGA but when I extend the desktop to the display, nothing happens.

I have a elitebook8470p that the display becomes fuzzy and un readable when on battery power I've tried all settings,updating drivers,all the basics. If it is hooked up to a external monitor is fine on battery and ac power When on ac power you can see faint lines scrolling but when you switch to battery its likethe contrast changes and any text that is black on white backround is unreadable but if hookedto a monitor its alright there. any help would be great

I have a new hp split x2 laptop that was sent to repair a Wifi issue recently. Now I discovered that there is a gost click over the top left region of the screen. Does anybody know what can I do in order to solver this issue?
HELP!!! I have a HP Pavillion DV4, 1155se. I was not using my laptop the other night and the top was folded down. I did hear and notice that something was going on with it because I could see my HP Logo light up, this happens when it is running something I guess automatically and also the sound it creates when something is running. i paid no attention but when I came back hours later for bed it was still going and very hot. I flipped the top back up and tried moving the mouse to make contact with laptop to signal it that I wanted to open windows up but nothing came up on the screen. I turned unit off and back on but no luck, i did get a couples of things i had never seen or heard before. 1st the Caps Lock and Scroll Tabs were blinking continuously while you could hear the drive where the CDs go like it was trying to run on and off. Is there anything I can do, if not, can I retrieve my folders and music I have saved from the laptop?? Your Help is Greatly Welcomed, Thank You.

I m having an HP pavilion G62016-TX with Windows7 ultimate with 64 bit version,Purchased on Nov'2012.
Recently my PC crashed and when it was reinstalled with all drivers from HP FTP i am having below problems.
1- The Graphics driver is not installing saying " The computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software".
2- The Cyberlink web cam driver is not installing saying " you do not have compatible VGA hardware or driver to run cyberlink youcam.
3- The audio is not coming from the laptop.
4-The keyboard brightness changing button is not working.
Please provide solution.

Hello. I have problem with my nvidia grapchic card. It seems like i only have integrated inted HD videoadapter (it's the only video adapter that is shown in Device manager). But i'm sure that this model also have NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphic card. I'm using win 8.1 64 bit. When i'm trying to install a video drivers (that wa downloaded from official HP website). I'm getting the following error

BTW there was a hidden graphic card, but i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall the driver - but i've got the same error.
I also have problems with connecting the external monitor via hdmi. Sometimes the monitor just don't get signal from video card, sometimes it's okay. I've tried several Monitors from different manufacturers, but no success (Monitors are 100% ok).
I'll appriciate any help on this. Thanks.
