i Have a HP Pavillion g6 2237-TX laptop with AMD Radeon 7670M Graphics card.Whenever I launch a game,My laptop hangs and displays pink stripes and pixels randomly on the screen.Recently I Installed Assasins Creed III and it worked fine but when i relaunched the game after3 days it Stoppped Working and Displays pink stripes on the Screen.Is there any problem With my Grapics Divers???

While editing a video for YouTube, I got a bluescreen and my notebook PC shut down. When I restarted it everything was normal, until Windows had loaded, and after that everything went black.
I am almost certain that this is a graphics card problem:
* When I disable the graphics driver in the Windows Device Manager I can start the computer normally.
* In the device manager I get an error message on the GPU, saying that it couldn't boot because it isn't functioning properly.
I tried several things, nothing has worked:
* Updated graphics driver
* Did a system restore, reinstalled operating system
* Did a system check in startup options
* Did a hard reset
* Connected an external display, this caused another bluescreen.
My guess is that the graphics card just had enough and died. My 1 year warranty period is over. What can I do?

laptop model is HP G62. I had buy it on 10-12-2010.i had occured chipset problum in laptop ,chipset series is intel(r) 5 series/3400 series. please tell me what is solution for it.
AMD high definition driver stwrt64.sys will not install i have downloaded it 3 times but will still not install ???
I have had this laptop a while now, and I figured the auto updating meant i was getting updates regulary. Turns out i haven't i go to play game and it tells me "The latest graphics update is required to play this game, your current version is from 18-11-201." This is stupid... Soooo i go to hp support app, nothing to update, goto AMD download the latest drivers, not compatible and its suggests i contact HP. HP have no help sends me to forums i read and read and read only to see people asking the same thing but when they ask first they get go to AMD, then when they say it doesn't work HP hasn't replied.
So on behalf of everyone on the forums can you please answer this.
HOW CAN I INSTALL THE LATEST GRAPHIC DRIVERS TO MY LAPTOP?
If i wanted a system with no support or updating i would have built a desktop, i bought this because HP offered the auto updating feature and many other things, all of which do not meet expectations, I would like to see an answer asap as i am sick of my games running poorly or not at all.
p.s. i know about switchable graphics (pitty so many others dont and play these games un-aware of why it runs like junk) i have followed a lot of other instructions found through the forums some of which have cause a blue screen and so on.

This question is probably fairly out of date but it's quite bizarre if you ask me. Let me preface my problem by saying that games run as expected for the most part; I'm not expecting insane performance out of this chipset because I understand that's not what I'm going to get. That being said, I do understand what to expect from this chipset.
Back when I first started using the laptop (light side gaming, I have a dedicated gaming machine) games ran pretty much flawlessly; 60fps, the perfect smoothness, no chopiness, etc. It's quite easy for me to tell when a game drops below a certain threshold, say, 55fps, because I'm so accustomed to playing with constant 60 on just about everything (yes, I'm a graphics snob).
Now, I played with perfect smoothness for a while, maybe a couple weeks, a couple months, don't exactly remember. Then one day, framerates just got noticeably worse. I would be fine with this if I had known what caused it, but there didn't seem to be any significant change to my computer that might have made this happen, and no changes were made to the in game graphics settings. And what's worse, the fps counter was not reflecting the changes in fps. It would still read around 55-60fps when performing easily below 40 constantly.
(For reference, when I first got the laptop I was into MMO gaming, I primarily played AION...now I play League of Legends and that's about it)
So I just went with it for a while, 40fps is far from "unplayable"...just a minor inconvenience. So now every couple months or so, the "perfect smoothness" of 60fps returns, and a few weeks later, it goes away, only to be replaced again by general choppy-ness and it's annoying. I've tried driver updates and a variety of other things, but no one seems to have this problem, and it's difficult to describe unless I give a very lengthy description of the issue.
TL;DR
Computer works fine for a while, then drops in performance for a few weeks, then works fine again. Framerates are low but the computer says they aren't.
I feel like this may not be a problem with my graphics card, please help. If you have had a similar problem and have found a solution or know what causes it I'd love to know

Im using Pavilion g4-2007tx and my graphic adapter is AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) and graphic adapter driver version is 8.933.3.3000. I have bought a year ago the hp4530s. Last year there were no problems but this year i wanted to clean up my laptop and install a fresh windows. Now i can't get my switchable graphics to work. There are only drivers for the 7470M and not for 6490M. I thought the new driver may be compatible even if it specifies on requirements that I must have the 7470M, but after a lot of tries i still can't solve this problem. Also I can't use the 2011 - 6490M driver because it's really old and laggy in new applications.
My Windows is 7 - 64bit version.

After using my laptop for a few hours, the screen just suddenly turned INTO white and I cant see anything aside from whole white screen. I restart my laptop several times but still just see white. I attached image how it appeared in my laptop.

HP Probook 4540s, Win7 x64, with ATI RADEON 7650M, bought the other day.
When I start Warcraft 3, I get a narrow image and two black strips on the sides.When this happened with my old laptop which had NVIDIA, I would go and change the scaling from NVIDA's control panel and it would fix the problem.
Now I go and open the CATALIST control panel, search around, search everywhere and cant find any scaling.
How can I change the ATI RADEON's scaling?

My bios is 010-09-06 , Version:F.23 A.
And i don t have switchable graphic option in bios.
I can t roll back bios.
I m using

When i click on to switch to high performance card nothing hapens.
My notebook has a AMD Radeon HD 7520 G video card, and is having trouble with a Vizio TV I'm using as a 2nd monitor. The monitor will work fine for a few mins, but then the TV screen flashes with colorful pixels and the TV freezes up. The pixels start to creep down the screen from the top, before completely overtaking the 22 inch screen. Does my computer need to change some settings in order to work with this TV monitor? What do I do? I changed some settings on the TV which makes it work a little bit longer before it freezes up, so I feel like i'm getting there.

which I have had for almost a year. It's still pretty shiny and new and I love it, but there's an annoying problem I keep running into once in awhile. I specifically bought this laptop over another model with more processing power because the secondary dedicated graphics card it came with was a lot better than the graphics cards in all the other models. It has a
Radeon (TM) HD 7690M XT, which isn't really stellar, but was well rated and a good value for the price of the laptop. The problem is, I can never seem to actually use it when I'm playing games because they always try to auto-detect my hardware and only find the built in intel graphics chip that came with the processor. I always go into the Catalyst Control center to change it to "high performance" but it doesn't seem to do anything. I have checked the support for some of these games and they had a couple suggestions for fixing it, but so far no luck. Is there anyway I can force the laptop to prioritize using the Radeon all the time? I'm not concerned about power since I generally take the power cord with the laptop everywhere. (It's a 17" laptop and relatively heavy, so I'm not really fazed by the extra weight of the cord).
Long story short, none of my games seem to be finding my good graphics card, only the crappy intel one. How do I fix this.

The graphics card of my laptop is not working. The error message is to install suitable driver. When i checked out in Computer- Manage-Device Manager-Display adapters- Driver , it was written that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I reinstalled the driver but nothing happened. I also restored my system to prvious state but again nothing happened. I havenot downloaded the new driver because of slow internet connection.
Kindly tell me what should i do?

I have a HP Pavilion DV8 1110ea with Windows 7 installed and I am having issues with the screen.
The screen is basically black but if you look at the screen in the right light then you can see the outline of what is on the screen. I connected it to an external monitor and it is working completely fine.
I have narrowed it down to either the backlight or the inverter. I know that you can replace the inverter fairly easily but not sure of the backlight is as easy, or if in fact the backlight can be replaced without changing the complete monitor. I know some laptops have monitors that have backlights that can be replaced but I do not know if the DV8 is one of these.
If someone can tell me the answers to the following questions
1 - Is my problem the inverter or the backlight?
2 - If it is the backlight is the DV8 one of the models that you can replace the backlight on?
3 - How easy is it to change the backlight?
4 - If the answer to question 2 is no then will it mean a complete new monitor?
I have replaced laptop screens before so I am not worried about doing it but I don't want to spend money on things that I do not need. If there is any other details that anyone needs then let me know and I will post the additional details. Thanks in advance for any assistance that you may be aable to offer.

this is the issue i am hoping to resolve: the display on the LCD is just a series of lines that keep flashing. i have replaced the LCD with 2 others, and the result has been basically the same. i have also replaced the video cable that attaches to the back of the LCD.
When i connect the laptop to an external monitor, it works fine.
when i attach to a HDTV via HDMI, it works fine.
the LCD began to have this issue after i had disassembled the laptop to replace the flip-up arms/hinges and the top cover. so yes, it is something that i initiated. but i am unclear as to what it might be now.
can you please provide me with info on what i might do to locate the core problem component and have it resolved?
My camera isn't working on my laptop. An error message comes up stating that something went wrong while taking this photo. This has happened before and I called customer support, it took about an hour to be resolved so I am trying to avoid that this time. If anyone can help that would be great. Thank you
