Hi all,

A few days ago I bought a notebook (type '15-n006ed'). When i got home, i noticed the notebook had no VGA-output. I bought the notebook for school and i need to connect it with the beamer (i'm a teacher) so i need an hdmi to vga adapter....

I found information about an adapter from HP on the internet, but my notebook is not in the list of compatible devices. Is it possible to use the adapter anyway or is there an alternative for it?

The type of the adapter is: H4F02AA

When we try to play videos from sites such as youtube there is sound but no video.  Only either a green screen or a black screen

afterI installthe driversfor the 2video cards,when I restart thepc,windows 7starts to loadbut thenthe screenremainsblack.
I tried toinstallwindows 764., but alwaysthe same problem.
I downloadedthe driversfrom the official pagehp.
I updatedthe bios.
  butI can notsolve this problem.

ho il problema con l'installazione dei driver delle schede video.
dopo che installo i driver per le 2 schede video, quando riavvio il pc, inizia a caricare windows 7, ma poi rimane lo schermo nero.
ho provato ad installare anche windows 7 a 64. ma sempre lo stesso problema.
ho scaricato i driver dalla pagina ufficiale hp.
ho aggiornato il bios.
 ma io non riesco a risolvere questo problema.

ho letto molti forum, ma non ho trovato soluzioni.

Hi im matt , and i have a problem wondering if anyone could give me a advice- solution , minus getting a new computer at the moment , i play world of warcraft and it say my driver device is out of date ,  i run a amd m880g AMD with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 , ive checked online , done the obvious in control pannel , it says its up to date , but the game says it is not, is there a series after this one that is compatible with laptop windows 7 home edition pavilion g7 notebook any advice would be helpful since its kind of hard to play  b/c the graphics are getting updated all the time , thanks -Matt

So I wasn't sure if I was putting this in the right area, but I'm going to post this anyway. So last night my computer was working absolutely fine, and I left it on the charger, it went on sleep, and I went to bed.<br><br>I woke up this morning, opened my laptop and pressed the power button to have basically nothing happen. The screen was blank, but the lights on the computer (power button light, wifi key light on keyboard) were still working, and I could hear the fan on inside, as well as heat coming from the side like it usually does.<br><br>It's been a few hours now and I took out the battery, charged it to full battery, etc. yet still nothing has happened. I've looked up answers but all of them were different and all were too techy for me to understand. Now I don't if this relates to it at all, but last year I broke the screen and my dad bought and put a new one in. He is pretty good with computers and tools, and we got the exact computer numbers from my computer so the screen is the right one. I thought maybe the screen could've gotten lose and disconnected which is why the display is blank? I've never really had this happen before..... Also, if it's of any significance, the fan is a lot fainter than it usually is. Please help me

Hi,

 

I just bought a zbook 14 and the ultra slim docking station. When the notebook is docked and the lid is closed, if I restart it, it will never come up, if I open the lid I see that the power and the mute buttons are lit but nothing is happening. If I hard reset it and leave the lid open then it will boot up. I tried upgrading and downgrading the display drivers (both the Intel and the AMD one) however, I still have the same issue.

Hi,

   I have to continually adjust the angle of my laptop to make the screen work. It flickers really bad until I find a sweet spot. lately the screen only works when the computer is wide open. What do you think is causing this?

I cant figure out how to fix youcam on my laptop. Everytime I try to open youcam It pops up with "you do not have the compatible VGA hardware or driver to run youcam". What information is needed to fix this problem and what do i need to do to fix it?

my wife has an Envy dv6 laptop running windows 8.1, every time she pllugs in the hdma cable screen goes blank even though computer is fully working, this also happens occassionally when plugging in externalhard drives etc in the usb ports.

Hi. I have a problem with my graphics card driver. My graphics card model HD8670m and intel HD 4600.
HD8670 have a new update driver. I install this driver and after finish opening a page on internet explorer this page telling me  "This driver is not install successfully". How can i fix it this problem ? 
Please help me...

ive had game crashes for space engineers and its confirmed, by the developers, to be a problem for AMD beta drivers or very old drivers. this prompted me to reinstall amd. prior to this account i had attempted AMD graphics reinstalls and had met with hardware not getting picked up by the catalyst installation. i cant remember what i did differently but i didnt get that error in this account. i just gave up on my drivers and left it on the old as toss hp drivers from 2012 prior to this account.

 

so i followed a guide  on how to completely uninstall amd, followed it to the letter (registry edits included) and then installed the latest catalyst but my game was still crashing. there was no hp driver underneath the new catalyst.

my next attempt was to completely uninstall AMD but to install the official hp amd driver from 2012 underneath the catalyst 14. everything was going good until it completed the installation and i immediately got a flat black screen. i restarted and as soon as the pc got done loading out of BIOS nothing but black screen dispair. googling random tech websites for answers concluded i had installed the wrong catalyst. i uninstalled in safe mode and got my screen back, then immediately installed the right catalyst.

thats where i am right now. ever since i restarted after the installation, my brightness function keys will animate moving down and up but wont change the physical brightness ( its constantly on the lowest level.) right now im stumped and not finding much info on google. some say its the backlight hardware deciding to poop out, some say its my graphics driver doing GOD KNOWS WHAT. i tried free third party software to control my brightness but so far have not found any that are compatible with the generic pnp monitor.

after coming back from safemode and a failure to change brightness with function keys there, now i boot up into normal windows with an error message from windows aero! it went something along the lines of "windows aero has been diaabled because some software is incompatible". im pretty sure im on radeon driver 14.100.0.0; i checked my device manager just now. what is causing these two problems?

I have a Pavilion 15-n209tx notebook with intel core i54200u processor, windows 8.1 64bit, 4 GB of RAM and gt 740m graphics processor with 2gb dedicated video memory. Now these are not great specs but can surely run games like PES 2012 smoothly ( at least that's what i was told). But the problem is that when I try to run this particular game I get an error message which says that my pc doesnt have the minimum system requirements to run the game. i checked the game's settings and it's showing VRAM of just 32 mb. although when i checked the nvidia control panel it was showing dedicated video memory of 2048 mb but system video memory of 0 mb. i updated the nvidia drivers but that didnt change anything. please help me out on this one. should i re-install the windows or somethimg?

Hello,

 

I'm working on a dv6000 laptop.

The laptop powers up alright, and the built-in display backlight comes on with a black screem, so I know it's getting power. I've tried a different lcd panel, which didn't fix it and I've tried a new display cable, which also didn't fix it. Same thing, black screen with backlight on. 

The laptop outputs to an external monitor just fine. I don't think it's the GPU or motherboard but I can't think of anything else to blame. 

 

I've tried all the other things like unplugging and pressing power button, reseated RAM, reseated CPU, checked connections etc. 

It looks like a couple of other people have had the same problem, but never managed to resolve it.

I may try updating BIOS as a last ditch effort. 

 

I was hoping someone on here had a magic fix, key combo or something I could try before I give up.

I wasnt to use my laptop as main PC with external monitor,keyboard and mouse. They are all connected ans woeking well. my desk would be tidier and make space for scanner if I could keep the laptop closed and stand the monitor on it. Any ideas?

Good day,

 

  My screen was replaced very soon after purchasing my laptop (dead pixels) and I would like some confirmation that the problem I am now experiencing is related to the hardware reinstallation before taking it back to the service center.  I did not experience this issue prior to the replacement.

 

During the boot into Windows, or some times after a day of use, the screen malfunctions with several visible "ghost touches" on screen (I have the "Show visual feedback when I touch the screen" enabled).  The touch functionality is then disabled, with the Windows Event Viewer System warning:

A multi-touch device reported inconsistent contact information.

 

 

Some times it is possible to reactivate the touch screen functionality by uninstalling the "HID-compliant Touch Screen" device driver and then scanning for new hardware.  

Restarting usually resolves the issue, but occasionally the system does not recognise the above driver and lists it as an unrecognised device in the USB controllers section of the Device Manager. 

I ran the UEFI touch screen test a few times - it usually passes, but there was one time when the touch screen was disabled and you couldn't run the test.

 

I have refreshed my PC, but this did not help. 

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello

 

I recently used recovery manager to reinstall everything. After this it seems like I cant install the driver for the graphicscard AMD mobility radeon HD 5650. I have tried installing them but it seems like catalyst control center only install the driver for the other graphics card in the pc AMD mobility HD 4250.

 

What should I do to fix this problem?
