Hi,
Just recently, my screen has been showing up with pink and green dots in that snow pattern seen on TVs. This isn't seen on the external monitor. At one point, I was putzing in BIOS and it was fixed, but then suddenly started acting up again when I removed the VGA cable. I think it has something to do with the LCD screen cable. I hope it's not the screen itself. I have yet to open up the computer to visually inspect the interior.
My Pavilion booted up today with the HP and Windows Logos off center because the screen has now expanded beyond the viewable part of the sreen on the bottom and the right side (the left side and the top of the screen are in their correct places). So therefore, when my desktop appears, my Start Button, Task Bar, and Clock are all below the viewable part of the screen. I can direct the cursor to the lower left corner beyond what I can see and click, and the menu for the start button will appear (at least the upper half will). I right click the desktop and go to screen resolution, but whatever resolution I choose, the bottom and right side of the screen remain beyond the viewable area. This happened once before about 6 months ago and a system restore would not fix the problem so I formatted the computer and the problem was resolved. This time however, I just finished the format and nothing changed. So what do I do now? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Pavilion dv7 1025nr the icons in the display are pulsing. Can not get to internet or open start menu
I'm using an HP Pavilion 17 with an AMD A10-5750M APU W/Radeon HD Graphics.
My screen shows static on white, grey, and yellow colors if looked at from any angle other than directly on. I also had a flickering line at the top of my screen. When I shut the computer down and restart it, the flicker goes away but the static remains. I've both re-installed and updated the graphics driver but the problem still persists. This problem doesn't show up on the BIOS screen, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.
What can I do to fix this issse?
I have an HP Envy Touchsmart 1215-DX Series Ultrabook. About 7 months ago it had a blue screen of death and of course hp's excellent customer support shipped me a USB drive with Windows 8 free of charge to re-install Windows 8 which fixed it but the only problem I have is the screen brightness button on the keybored does nothing and the setting on the Windows 8 charm does nothing when moved. So how could I fix this is it a driver? Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.

I currently have a m6-1045dx i5 intel; computer, running windows 7 64bit.
I've been having trouble with flash video on the web and green screens when flash video runs sometimes. Their site had recommended turning off hardware acceleration in flash and a whole host of other things. I did those. One other recommendation was to update the graphics driver. So I looked and i have the intel HD graphics 4000 line in this laptop. The driver version is 8.15.10.2653. Everytime i attempt an upate thru device mnager or if i use the HP utility it says there is no new update. the HP site has a newer driver from 2014 but it will not let me download. It keeps looping me around to language and back to find problem. Also, i noticed the driver is older and on the intel website they have a much more newer driver available, unfortunately when i try to install it says the driver is not validated for this computer and to obtain one from the cpmuter manufacturer. So is there is a newwer driver i can i can install? I need to fix this flash video problem.

The following are my observations:
1. It sounds like it boots
2. Hard Drive activity indicator blinks every second repeatedly
3. Caps Lock blinks twice after 10seconds of booting for two times
4. Fan is spinning ok
5. Connection to External Monitor wont display (with Fn+F4 key)
Please help.

I am trying to locate drivers for the graphics in this laptop. For the life of me I cannot find any documentation that actually specifies what, exactly, type of GPU is in this machine.
I am running Windows 7 64bit. There is no graphic driver listed in the driver support utility on the HP website, nor in the HP assistant.
Obviously, running "Generic PnP monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adaptor" isn't going to provide the best video processing the machine is capable off.
Can anyone shed any light on either the type of graphics processor in this machine or even go a step further and point me to a set of correct drivers?

I am currently using HP Envy J001tx Laptop. All are exceptional in this other than the laptop display.Is there any way i can upgrade my laptop screen to IPS Screen or some othe screen with good color calibration with better viewing angles???????
Note : My Display is FHD Brighview display (but viewing angles and color richness is very poor)
I recently bought a HP Pavilion 15-n233tu laptop, I saw in the specifications that it has a intel 4400 card shared and Nvidia 740m or AMD card optional, I ordered the simple one without dedicated graphic card so I dont even see a 4400 card in my laptop , Its shows like this Plz see the pics. Ops only 256mb card

i have a hp 630 notebook, intell core i3. i installed a fresh windows 8.1 os. but couldnt find graphic driver for my device. i downloaded intell hd graphic driver and after installing, i get a message that my device doesnt have minimal requirement to install the driver. i have tried different version of intel graphic driver but the message is the same. i have tried to trouble shoot but to no avail. can you please help me out. i am currently on microsoft basic display adapter.

My name is Victor K Varghese. I bought my Hp Envy 6 1002tx laptop 18 months ago. I got a hinge problem some months ago. I had to replace the whole display panel for 12,000 rupees. Again the issue re-occured within days after replacement. It was replaced free of cost!! Now 3 months passed and I'm again facing the same issue once again!!!!
I know Hp Envy 6 is once of the worst model with a lot of problems, Even the maintainence team has agreed on that. What can i do now?? I had to replace 2 times in just one month!!!
How can i find a permanent soution for this issue??!! Is Hp providng somekind of reaction to this hinge problem??

I bought an HP Envy laptop recently (last month). It's a 15-j151nr model. I've installed Windows 8.1 Professional on it and I have updated all drivers and BIOS by downloading the latest installers from the HP Support Site.
Last week my laptop's screen started flickering randomly after I logged on to my laptop in the afternoon. It was working fine all morning, when I came from a meeting, I logged on and I noticed the screen was flickering intermittently. Updating the BIOS at that time helped, but this afternoon it is doing the same thing again.
How do I resolve this issue? Is this a hardware defect? Should I be mailing my laptop to HP for repair?
