I have a new Spectre and it no longer has an HDMI port. It has these 2 mini ports. I need to buy a dongle so I can hook up to projectors but don't know the name of these little ports. I ordered a mini dongle and it is wrong - it's thicker than my HP port. So, what's this called and where can I get a dongle?

I have been trying to play games on my laptop and i cant use the keys and the touch pad at the same time.
The keys on my keyboard are wearing off to where they are hardly visible.
I bought this product less than two weeks ago and have noticed a slight screen bleed when on darker images/displays. On the right hand side of the screen there is a small purple line, followed by roughly 6 dots below it where the screen seems to bleed very faintly.
Its not one concealed spot which you would normally expect when excessive pressure is applied to the screen. Is this covered under warrenty? It's completely unnoticable on a white screen, only on darker screens.
Any help is appreciated.

Screen in only backlit and harddrive is running but nothing is on the screen. Screen takes about a minute to go from black to backlit. Capslock button repeatedly blinks once...no additional pattern with this. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought my Notebook only 3 month ago . It was pretty slow , but still good. Untill I woke up that day and foound many vertical and horizontal lines on the display ! It was not hit or didn't fall . I quickly contacted HP support and asked me to send the Notebook to be checked at the centre with repair cost of $0.00. I believe it is a manufacturing defect . During that period ,I contacted them regularly to check how much did they do in the repauring process to make sure that everything is fine. I have been told " there is no update, so the only update to expect is the shipping information " . Today , I was checking the repair status and found that they labeled it as " Induced damage " .
What should be done in that case because there is no way I am paying for fixing a manufacturing defect!! Like seriously your products cannot last for three months? You are about to lose one of your customers and my whole family !

I dropped my laptop at the airport and the LED Screen is completely damaged. Can't display anything on the actual laptop. But if you hook it up to another monitor, it displays and performs perfectly on the other screen, just not its own. I already bought a new laptop (2 actually, long story), but I wanted to know (an estimate) of how much you think it'd be to fix? Best Buy said $3-400, Staples said $600, most said it'd be cheaper to buy a new one, so I did. I did love my old laptop (It was my first, and "technically" still works) , I'm sad to see its destroyed, I just wanted to know for what it's worth lol, no harm in asking.

I have been using a Wacom Bamboo Stylus for about a month on my comp. It has been writing smoothly in every mode until recently I noticed when I have my screen folded back completely (in 360 mode) to use a tablet, my stylus cursor jumps everywhere and prevents me from writing clearly. Bummer considering I only purchased this exact model to use in lieu of a paper notebook to take notes in class. Has anyone had similar issues? If so, is there an easy fix or is this something HP has to deal with?
Hello! The problem with connecting the monitor ... There is a monitor 2k, how to connect it to a laptop hp4740s? Connection via hdmi gives a resolution of 1920x1080. Need a hdmi 1.4 or 2.0 wire? Or my intel hd graphics 4000 can not 2560x1440?

I have issues with HP EliteBook 850 G5. During 1 month of usage this laptop 2 time showed black screen after Wake Up from Sleep mode.
Please provide updated driver. On Intel site available version DCH 25.20.100.6471, while HP provide 6226 old driver.

I'm using ZBook 15 G2 with HSTNN-I11X dock with 200W adapter and try to connect 4K UHD display with DisplayPort. Connecting it dirrectly to laptop will work fine. Trough dock, I get the monotor working with 1080 resolution only (UHD monitor).
Since a few weeks the Synaptics SMBus TouchPad isn't working anymore short after startup. It shortly works (10 - 15 secs) and then the pointer cannot be moved anymore via the touchpad. An external mouse is needed. Does somebody has a clue?

So I recently purchased my Envy x360 and am unable to mess with any of the touchpad settings beyond the sensitivity. I try clicking on the "additional settings" on the touchpad tab in the windows 10 settings window and it brings up the "mouse properties" but it is missing the Synaptics tab that all of the other explanations seem to have when I search for the issue. All that is there is buttons, pointers, pointer options, wheel, and hardware. What should I do next?
I am trying to connect a 4K monitor to my HP Pavilion 14-ce0505sa laptop using the USB type-c port on my laptop. My monitor has a displayport 1.2 port so I am trying to find a USB type-c to display port adapter or cable that works for this purpose. I recently just bought this one but my laptop didnt recognise the cable being connected at all.
The specs for the external ports on the HP ce0505sa state (from here):

Therefore, it is my understanding that the USB type-c port on my laptop is capable of the alternative mode of DP 1.2 for video output at 4K 60Hz resolution but I do not know what sort of cable or adapter is compatible. Does it need to be an active adapter? Or is there something I need to change in my laptop settings for the USB-c port to recognise the alternative DP 1.2 mode? Any suggestions and adapter recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
