Line on computer screen
Hi. So my computer has this weird grey vertical line that appears a couple inches from the left of screen. The weird thing about it though, is that the line comes and goes. It is not always there, but at random times it will pop up and then leaves about 15 seconds later, and then will eventually come back. It's not on any one specific application. It has come up while using word, internet explorer, chrome, and powerpoint, and i just want to make sure it's nothing serious. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.

HP Spectre 360 15" 4k screen "flickers" when hot and is taking longer and longer
I too am having this issue. I have installed all the updated drivers listed above and still occurs. It seemed to happen when waking from sleeping mode however now it occurs randomly while I am working on it.
Not sure what to do as I paid $2400 for this machine in April of last year and no warranty. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There seems to be no software solution
I have however found that sticking a post-it note over it reduces the sensitivity sufficiently to ensure that I do not accidentally activate it.
It does not look very good (I also have a bit of post-it note over the web-cam) but it works!

Touchscreen suddenly stopped working and has disappeared from Device Manager
Hi I just bought the Zbook 2 days ago for my studies.
My touchscreen stopped all of the sudden after the lectures, disappeared from Device Manager. As far as I can see would it be a good solution to update the bios. ( Yes my computer has a touchscreen, and I have tried resetting it by holding down the start key)
The Pen Device shows an error 10 in driver. I allready tried to install and reinstall it..
What do I do??

Cracked touch screen Pavillion x360 11m-ad113dx
Hello, first time poster. I have a HP Pavillion x360 that I bought to work while flying (fits nicely on tray table) to replace the HP that I left on a prior flight. Unfortunately, while traveling, I cracked the screen. The touch screen works, but has a spider crack. I am fairly handy and think I can repair this myself with guidance and the right part. The model number is 11m-ad113dx.

Drivers for HP X360
Hello I have issues with my Ryzen 5 2500U, video card drivers the computer is far from usable, it reboots at random times, I used the drivers from HP supoort site, but know I have the ones from Windows Update Catalog but of them are far from stable but the last one is doing an OK job.
When is HP going to realease a driver for this laptop.

Upgrading the screen of a HP 14-cf0052od Laptop
Hello, quick question. These are really quite nice laptops for the money, but the screen is just a bit to low-res for 2018. Anyone know the part number of the screen for this laptop, and if there is a 1080p (FHD) replacement out there? I'm not squeamish about doing a replacement, but I'm not sure where to look for replacement parts.

HP Chromebook touch screen not working
I have an HP Chromebook and now the touch screen wont work. I have already tried powerwash and resetting and still nothing. Does anyone have any other suggestions. It is very hard to navigate with just the touchpad. If this can't be fixed does anyone know how well a wireless mouse works?

e key opens file explorer, keyboard not functioning, tried everything
my keyboard isn't functioning correctly, it's extremely frustrating. i have googled my issue and tried uninstalling keyboard driver, other forums have said to hold the right shift key down for 8 seconds, i did that. i deselected sticky keys function in settings, windows key several times, and my issue has still not went away. at the moment, i am using the on-screen keyboard to type. some other problems i have are: backspace key only removes one letter even when i hold it down, it sometimes takes me to the beginning of the line too (like when the home key is pressed), and other things as well, arrow keys also do not repeat as i hold them down to select quickly. when i press certain letters, other characters are attached to it.

HDMI compatibility issue
hello,
i've got 4 notebooks : 2 older ( hpdv7 and Acer) and 2 newer model ( Envy 360 touchscreen and Envy 17 j000eb )
Also i've got a Wacom Cintiq 13HD tablet . My problem is that , with the older laptops the tablet works perfect ( so it is not a faulty tablet ! ) but with the newer ones i get black screen on my tablet and a messege "no input signal" and it is not detected as a secondary display !
The HDMI ports on both new notebooks are working because i have them connected to 2 TV's and they are working just fine ! No faulty hdmi !
So , i've got a working tablet and 2 working notebooks but ....black screen on tablet, not secondary display on laptops ! Not a driver problem because the tablet doesn't need a driver for the display .
I dont think it's a configuration problem because when i unplug the Cintiq hdmi cable from my laptop and i insert the tv hdmi cable , plug and play , tv shows and it is recognised imediatly as second display. I shut down computer , insert Cintiq cables , start computer, Cintiq shows black screen with messange "no input display" ! Unplug Cintiq, plug in the TV , it starts working instant !!!
My graphic drivers are absolutely up to date , no issue there.
The only differece is that my older notebooks (working with the Cintiq) they have only one gpu (Nvidia)and my newer ones (not working with Cintiq) they have Intel HD (4600 and 5500) and one dedicated Nvidia (GeForce GT 740M). The HDMI port on laptops it is run by Intel HD, no way to change it to Nvidia gpu. If i disable the Intel gpu the tv goes black and it is not recognised anymore as second display , the Nvidia does not take charge of the HDMI port !
Hardware working (tablet and laptops), drivers up to date, no configuration issue, but missing the video signal on Cintiq !
Cintiq 13HD hdmi version is 1.3 , but for the laptops i have no ideea... difficult to find the info .In my opinion it is a compatibility issue between the HDMI's . There is no coincidence that 2 laptops from the same family are not working with the Wacom Cintiq 13HD !
How do i solve the problem ? what do i have to do ? any ideea ? thank you

HP Spectre x360 - touch screen stopped working
Unfortunately I have forgotten when and what occurred prior to this fault. I think it was a Windows Update about mid-October. I have run the online touch screen troubleshooters a couple of times. Installed Ubuntu multiboot - touch screen works. Updated BIOS and drivers, hard power reset a few times, run all steps on HID-Compliant-Touch-Screen-Driver-Missing, had a fruitless online Chat, Run sp79383.exe

Get PID Failed (err= -3)
reinstalled windows twice. (keep files) UEFI diagnostics work great , pre-windows menus and touch keyboards work. There is no PID touch screen in Device Manager and ELAN EzyTouch Filter has an Exclamation mark but reports best driver already installed.

Windows ink pen compatibility with HP 14-cm0011na Laptop
Can any reply me if my new
HP 14-cm0011na Laptop is compatible with Windows ink pens please?. It is not a touch screen so I am unsure.
Does anyone have a list of known compatible pens that will work if it is possible.

Cracked Screen on HP x360
My screen physically cracked in the top right corner shortly after purchasing this laptop (3-4 months). It seems to be a very common problem with this laptop I've been using it with a cracked screen for a while. The laptop has never been dropped or handled roughly, in fact, it is docked on my desk and connected to the monitor. I rarely ever move it. I want to inquire about getting it fixed.

Screen works by touch but displays no image due to water damage
Hi, so grateful for the help. Strange that it is near impossible to get an HP employee on the phone even when i want to purchase a part. They seem to have outsourced their customer service to the kindness of strangers. My laptop got wet. No screen image so i hooked up to a stationary monitor. The touchpad option on the laptop screen still works but there is no image. Can you help me in know what part I need to replace as the entire screen doesn't need to to be replaced.
