hi,
first time here and nor for a good reason.
Just wanterd to say (again) what peoplle have already wrote so myna times
we are never gonna get fix for our switchable grafics, BIOS adition for fixable/dinamic.
HP has disapointed me, their false advertisament should be legal prosicutated for what they
are doing to us.
i have save monye for a year to get m kid a laptop with specs that can play some games,
but now we are stuck with a divace that cant do what it was advertized.
Thank you HP personell for cheating me for money i dont have.

Envy23 screen keep turning bright by itself

My screen brightness keeps changing to full blast by itself.
How to stop this brightness keep turning full blast by itself.

Not able to play any 32 Bit games

I recently bought a new HP pavilion Laptop powered Radeon Graphics.

HP ENVY m6-1105dx White screen in desktop
Hello, When I open IE in desktop mode the bar is up on top but the page is all white. I think some options arn't working in tools. Not sure because I don't go in there often. But, opening IE in win 8.1 mode things work fine. This started on vacation when I was trying to hook into the hotel wifi. I have a C2L91 UA # ABA

HP Envy Touchsmart
Im loading up my windows 8 laptop fine but when I go to click on my desktop it loads up, then freezes then keeps flickering back and forth from the desktop screen(with no icons on) to my start screen(again with no icons on). Screen Flickers then goes white.
Hi,
I have an HP envy m6 since about an year. The screen has started to flicker and then go comletely white. The right sided hinge makes noise when i open or move the screen and i read some where that the display wire might run through the hinge? Also I have noticed that some times while runnig the notebook if i take out the charging wire the screen colors or texture changes dont know if that is related because that has been happening for a long time.

Graphics card issue
I've just been given this message to optimize the graphics for a game that just came out:
"Laptops / Integrated Graphics
If you are running on a laptop then it is likely that the game has selected your integrated graphics chipset as the default graphics processor. This could give problems because that chipset may not have the video memory necessary to start the game; the minimum required video memory is 512MB. To fix this you need to manually switch to your dedicated graphics processor.
For NVIDIA:
1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
2. Select “Manage 3D settings”.
3. In the “Preferred graphics processor” drop-down menu, select your NVIDIA processor."
However, I cannot find the software that controls my graphics card. I have not so recently changed my hard drive and might have missed out on installing something for it. The sticker on the front of my laptop says "Radeon graphics" but when I check what card is in my laptop on direct x diagnostic tool it says "Intel(R) HD Graphics family".
I'm utterly stumped.
If anyone could help I would be very grateful.

6770m GPU NOT detected!
Hello,
I'm using a DV6-6093ex laptop on Windows 7 64-bit. Product number: LM610EA#A2N. I have/had Switchable Graphics.
Starting this morning, the AMD ATI 6770m is no longer detected, it doesn't show up under devices in the control panel. I was getting failed driver recovered popups a few days back. Not only is the ATI GPU not being detected but I cannot switch the GPUs. I attempted to reinstall the drivers from the HP website (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5068476#N608) but that didn't change anything.
EDIT: I've tried the solution prescribed in the HP support document (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02948560&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5068476) re switchable GPUs. I already have F.1B (latest BIOS for intel-based) and the latest 6770m drivers from the HP site. I CANNOT see the dynamic vs fixed in the System Configuration tab in BIOS.
I have no clue what's going on, please HELP!!

hppavilion dv7 laptop windows 7
I last used my laptop on Sat night. When I fired it up on Sunday all I hear is it booting up but get no picture or any information on the screen. its blank. the cap button blinks and the F12 key blinks. Has anyone encountered this problem before. Thanks for anyone who can help.

Pavilion dv7t 7000 switchable graphics
I determined my laptop has switchable graphics. I can not find out if it is static and I need to change the graphics of if it switches automaticlly. Too bad I don't have a ati graghics card, HP has some great articles on switching graphics.
How do I determine what kind of switching graphics I have with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M.

My Geforce 650m says it is a 630m
Hi everyone!
I am hoping this is a simple switch that I can not find. I have a HP Pavilion DV7 7008tx laptop. It comes with a Geforce 650m graphics card as standard with no other options. The thing has worked great for about 8 months. However recently in games the laptop has been very sluggish with low FPS. When I started to investigate what was causing the poor performance I noticed windows says I have a Geforce 630m. Every other program or GPU tester says 630m too.
I have updated the driver both HP version and Nvidia version.
Back dated the driver to a much older one.
Updated the BIOS.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to turn it back to the 650m?

Webcam Not detected
My Notebook is HP Pavilion g4 1201 tu model. It has integrated webcam but while cyber link webcam it is not detected.
Few days back it was detected but again not detected. I presume there is a linkage issue between webcam and driver.
My webcam driver is updated. Kindly advice.

HP ZBOOK 14 "VIDEO_ DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR" issue.
Hi I have just bought a brand new and shinny Zbook 14, after updates of windows and since it's free I have updated to windows 8.1, now every time I boot the PC an BLUE SCREEN appear with error "VIDEO_ DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR" then it re-boot and another screen to recover BIOS and then it starts.
I have called HP support and they said that it's an driver problem. If I send it to support they just have to put Windows 8 again and it's done, this is no SOLUTION and certenally not for me. It seems that HP is taking much time to solve this and another clients have complaint.
HP for when a solution for this, this is not a cheap PC and it's a professional hardware, I cannot hinernate or sleep since I lost all data because of this error and it takes forever to start..........
