HP Monitor does NOT work with HP laptop
My HP Compaq LA2206x monitor has VGA and HP Display port outs-NO HDMI. I connected a Display port cable to Display port out. Because my HP Spectre only has HDMI, I connected via HDMI to Display port adapter. Monitor menu keeps saying NO signal for all 3 options.
And I get nothing. Have downloaded latest driver software but monitor does not even show up as an option in the Settings/Dispaly menu.
When I connect it to my old HP laptop with the W 10 upgrade it works fine. What's the problem here?

horizontal lines in the upper left part of the screen
Hello, thanks for your help. I have a laptop HP Envy M6;From one moment to the next, a block of horizontal lines appeared from the top left of the screen, reaching the middle of it.It is a block that shows lines of different thicknesses.At the beginning it was a single block but today I have noticed that more blocks have begun to appear.How can they disappear or what kind of problem can it be?

VERY poor quality webcam picture
This laptop was advertised with an HD camera. I have adjussted all settings, updated drivers and still it has a VERY poor quality picture. It is fuzzy with no sharp edges on items on the screen.

both video card KO
the video cards of my portatitle are not working. I uninstalled them but I get these errors. at this moment the pc is using basic video adapter.
I used intel utility but after rebooting, unable to load mui files.
the AMD card instead remains in code 43.
I scanned the pc but I did not find any viruses.
can someone try to explain to me what may have happened?

Purchased x360 laptop but realized in a day it does not suit me, can i return the laptop
I purchased the x360 cd0055tx and realized that it does not fit my needs, Its just 3 days past, can I return the laptop.
I purchased from the HP dealer in my city, but he says its not possible.
However this would make one not to buy from Authorized dealers, because how can you know a sealed pack version works for you or not. and when you open it and if it doesn't work, you are in a soup
Amazon is better than, that at least you can return the product in 10 days.

If not, I will surely educate people of the consequence of not purchasing a laptop from Amazon and instead going to authorized dealer for it

Synaptics Touchpad & Keyboard do not work in Windows 10 on HP15 notebook
This is extremely frustrating! I have a HP 15ba-001ax notebook which came preloaded with Windows 10 64 bit. Recently I had a hard disk crash issue because of which HP replaced the drive and installed a new copy of the Windows 10 OS. It was working fine for a few days after which the OS got automatically updated. After this the laptop keyboard and touchpad have completely stopped working. They do work in the bios and the UEFI tests for both of them pass. But as soon as Windows boots they stop working.
Usb keyboard and mouse work though. I can see the touchpad in device manager as Synaptics SMBus Touchpad. I tried installing the latest drivers from HP website, rolling back drivers, uninstall and reinstall drivers but nothing worked.
Finally I did a clean installation using the recovery disk. The keyboard and touchpad did not work in the recovery manager as well. Also even after doing a clean install of the OS the problem still persists.
Is there any solution to this problem? Either from HP or Microsoft or Synaptics? It is really a pain because the laptop is of no use without an external keyboard and mouse which I am carrying around everywhere for past 1 week. I might as well return this electronic waste and buy a descent desktop instead.

Screen turns black during heavy load
My computers screen will sometimes turn black during heavy graphics load, and will not start working untill I put the computer to sleep and then wake it up again. I have updated the drivers (from HP:s driver page) and have run all windows updates. Dose anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong? Have only had this computer for a week.

Hp Envy 17 laptop screen has no backlight on half of screen
I had been using my laptop. Shut the lid, came back within an hour and for some reason after re-opening it, the right half of my screen isn't lit up. I can still see the picture, just has no brightness to it. The left half is still lit up, and the light somewhat bleeds over to the right half, but definitely isn't as bright as it should be past the half way mark, going to completely unlit.
Oddly enough, the same moment this started occuring, I cannot get sound to play throught my speakers either. Sound works when pluging in headphones, but will not work through the speakers.
Looking for a way to fix the screen brightness mainly. Not sure if it's a software issue or if there is hardware that needs to be replaced, and where to find the hardware.

Screen started flickering like a touch response in HP spectre x360 G2
I was working on an excel sheet and all of a sudden, figures in a cell in the sheet started selecting - deselecting on its own as if someone is touching screen repeatedly at that point. It lasted for a few minutes and all this while touchpad was also not working leaving me in a difficult situation. I pressed windows button and then automatically it clicked on Calculator app button and open multiple windows of the app. I am worried what has led to this and what can be done to avoid such things in future as my work involves me to work on excel files with sensitive data which I can't afford to lose due to technological errors.
Guys please guide - should I get the laptop replaced or the issue can be fixed? It seems to be a hardware issue but I have updated Graphics drivers after the incident. In the morning, I had changed the resolution to 2048 x 1152 and adjusted the size of text, apps to 150% (recommended) - which was helpful in increasing performance of the machine.

Missing pointer and cursor
I seemd to have lost my pointer and use of cursor after I update my Windows. I have tried and followed the prompts in the laptop mouse settings and checked the suggesgtions in the forum on this issue. Nothing seemed to work. There was supposed to be some sort of light akt the top left corner of the touchpad according to some of the suggestions but my laptop certainly do not have that. Even the numbers pad on the right side of the laptop does not work even after clciking the numlock button.

Screen Flickering
Recently the screen of my laptop started flickering occassionally. I've gone through all the troubleshooting and diagnostics options on HP Support Assistant and downloaded and run HP Hardware Diagnostics but nothing has changed and no problems have been found, although when I've run diagnostics the screen has frozen and flickered various colours before carrying on again and sometimes cancelling tests. I'm not sure what else to do now other than post on the forum as I can't find any other options I can do myself, does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can fix it?
I have already:
Changed the screen resolution to recommended
Updated display driver
Updated BIOS
Tests passed:
CPU stress test
ROM test
IRQ test
Video extended memory check
Disk read verify
Long drive self-test
Tests cancelled:
Multiple battery checks
Short drive self-test
The warranty for the laptop has expired and has not been extended.

Problems with booting up and purple line on screen
Hello!
I'm experiencing problems at boot-up. The computer starts with the boot sequence, and stops to a halt if I have any HDMI screen connected to it. It doesn't come to the windows loading stage. Without a HDMI device connected it boots up normaly. When it halts, there is a purple line on top of the blank black screen on the laptop, nothing else.
Anybody experiencing the same? How do I resolve the issue (apart from booting without the HDMI connected :) ).

While screen mirroring cursor disappears while moving and reappears in 2 secs after moving
I screen mirrored to MI smart TV 43". While mouse moving cursor disappears. After 2 sec of cursor drag stop cursor appears. Again moving cursor disappears. Stopping appears.
Cant use screen mirroring like this.

HDMI Output not responding
Hello people,
I have hp g62-470CA and is running windows 7 32 bit.
The problem is that when I connect a Haier LED with HDMI it does not display the screen, I can see that it is being detected but nothing happens.
I hope anyone can help.
